The recent price drop of Bitcoin and some bad news on the market may cause a new round of FUD for investors. With the price going down, Bitcoin will be more volatile in the short term and the Altcoins that depend on Bitcoin will go through more ups and downs. In this bear market, more investors are hesitant to any Altcoin investment. Apart from the macro environment factor, what truly holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? Please let me know your thoughts.
Honestly there are really that altcoins which are worth to invest on and we do know that there are really that hidden gems that we could actually make profits if we do able to enter the right time.
We do know that there are lots of shit coins in the market which it do makes it hard to know and choose on which one would really be good on picking but after all the thousand coins that
we do have in the market today. Then it is really that hard to do so and this is where lots of people do lost of track and their investment because they were just too careless
but well its not something that we could pull off.

For me there is no reason not to invest in good Altcoins because Altcoins can also be profitable and a lot of very promising projects that are hard to ignore, and owning Bitcoin is fine but more diversification than recommended so don't be afraid to invest with Altcoins, and all you have to do is analyze and know what Altcoin to buy during this trend.
You say it right and people never stop thinking that altcoins are a great venue in crypto especially when the bull season is coming, you can't just simply ignore that chance of tripling (or more) your money if got lucky. So while people are buying Bitcoin during the bear season, they are now selling some of it to allocate for altcoins. Many new projects will get in hype during the bull season and they are started looking for a gem. Well, I assume that everyone is aware of the situation that altcoins will pump more than Bitcoin.

I think there are underlying concerns around market volatility and macroenvironmental factors that may discourage some investors from exploring altcoin investing. While market conditions and news can impact short-term altcoin performance, it is equally important to assess the long-term potential and fundamentals of a particular altcoin before making any investment decisions.

In terms of specific factors that might hold investors back from investing in Altcoins, there could be a number of reasons such as lack of knowledge or understanding of the Altcoin market, difficulty in accessing reliable information or reputable exchanges, concerns around security or regulatory compliance, or simply preference for more established investment options.

Honestly, I just see people on this forum don't like to invest in altcoins, they focus mainly on bitcoin because it's much safer. But in my locality, people do the opposite, they prefer to invest in altcoins over bitcoin because they think altcoins offer better returns even though it's riskier. Many of my friends are investing in altcoins and don't have bitcoins in their pockets. Many people change their lives to wealth by investing in altcoins, and the losers mostly invest in altcoins. I still like to invest in altcoins, but I can't risk my entire portfolio, bitcoin still accounts for 50% of my investment, I prefer slow but sure over risky.

Yeah, but I think there are also altcoin investors in this market, because they love the risk. However, for some conservative investors, there's no doubt that bitcoin is the go to crypto for them.

But you can't blame those altcoin investors, I mean the returns though, specially during the height of altcoin in 2017, there are projects that return 1000x or even higher. Not sure about the coming bull run though, maybe there will be that can repeat that performance but it's going to be very difficult.

Everyone has a different mindset and thoughts, I don't blame or criticize anyone because I also like to invest in altcoins. I don't want to be too rigid or conservative because that's not in my favor, my goal here is profit, so I won't be conservative but ignore potential opportunities over bitcoin in the market. Honestly, in the 2021 bull season, BNB and ETH have brought me more profits than BTC.

In the upcoming bull season or in the future, altcoins are still a potential market where we can make hundreds, thousands of times more profit. There will always be such hyped projects, but finding them is extremely difficult. But also don't forget the high returns that come with high risk when investing in altcoins.

You do have a rational mindset which will help you gain more profit than others. I also intend to be flexible and adaptable to new changes as time goes by. Altcoins are truly a wonderful mechanism to make money if used properly. In the next bull run, many altcoins will be catching a lot of eyes without doubt and I believe our project FireDAO is one of them. Please refer to this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annfiredao-social-daodidweb3-identitysbtssupereconomy-5441307 to find  more about us. Hope you'll be interested.

Users of crypto make investment in altcoins but as we compared bitcoin with altcoins so we can say that altcoins are provider of enhance profit but has also show some negative outcomes therefore we cannot say that altcoin can be better than bitcoin. Also remember that if one person gets profit from altcoins then we should not copy him because for some may be its beneficial but for others it may be not. So always have your own thoughts and make your own decision. I don't say that altcoins are not good investment but before investment keep in mind that it can move your profit to a negative results and can there are so many altcoins which fails to give benefits to its holders.

True. Critical thinking plays a vital role in cryptocurrency investment and we should never follow a trend just because many people are saying something big. Other people's honey might be our poison in many cases. In reality, any investment decision must be made based on our own situation and once a decision is made, don't regret and even if fails, we should just learn a lesson and move on. That's it.

There are many reasons why many investors hesitate and take a long time to determine which altcoins to invest in, but of course the biggest reason is because the prices of altcoins fluctuate so much that it makes investors doubtful and keep waiting for the right time to buy.

Of course for most people and especially for me is to find a location where the bullish sentiment is greater, because some time the market is still in a bearish state so it's too lazy to wait longer, the second in my opinion is to look for capable altcoin projects or updates for more development both in the project, things that affect the price to be bullish like listing in the big market or whatever.
I often look forward to it.

If we choose the right altcoin to invest in, I don't think we should hesitate to hold it even though Bitcoin's condition has decreased in price. If Bitcoin increases again, the altcoin price will follow the Bitcoin chart.

Things like that are taken into consideration, even though we are quite sure of one of the altcoins, we are always looking for a more appropriate time or looking for a cheaper price in several rowing times. Especially if you want to invest in the long term, of course you will consider more and hold back before doing a reset about the altcoin that is your investment goal.

There are too many altcoins that can compete with each other in a range. This makes it difficult for me to capture and unlock the potential of those altcoins and pick them up. The best way I do it is to create a multi-altcoin allocation portfolio. Also, the biggest problem we face is fake altcoins and scams. For altcoins, choosing the top altcoin is always encouraged and chosen more by those reasons. with those difficulties, Bitcoin has always been my primary choice.

Bitcoin is a good investment and the least risky. But if you choose altcoins wisely, even the not-so-new ones that have been released recently, you can get a lot more return than from bitcoin. Although it is the most risky. But I still believe that common coins like LTC or Aptos from the new generation, will be more profitable.

Because they know that when it comes to profit earnings, altcoins give more compared to Bitcoin. And these kinds of investors are not for the long-term, they will go for the hype and then sell. They don't care about the risk, not they want to fund security because they want to make easy money. In fact, we can't deny that altcoins would sometimes give us x1000, a thing that really gives courage to investors despite the risk. But I'd never find it wrong and I called them smart investors.

There are several factors that can deter investors from investing in altcoins. Some of them include a high level of risk associated with price volatility, the possibility of losing investments, lack of knowledge about and experience in investing in cryptocurrencies, and low liquidity. And also basically repels the belief in a product that is quite new on the market and without any support, apart from the community.
The altcoin environment is too many things and not all coins fully meet the criteria of a crypto project. Many things appear to be based on the hype trend, making long-time investors feel like it would be a waste of money to risk such a product.
I also see many bad cases from altcoins, but as an investor I don't think there's anything perfect, it's just how do we accept those opportunities and risks when investing.

I personally still hold eth in my portfolio I hope ETH can hit the all time high I'm sure it's easy for ETH to do that because ETH is the top 2 coin in market cap what else is eth can't be mined anymore eth is bitcoin killer this is just my personal opinion.

I doubt altcoins are growing at least in price,I don't know about people buying/mining/getting them but the marketcap of such coins does not increase in the same way the leader does which is Bitcoin.Normally Bitcoin has increased in price well over 8000 dollars but I am not seeing such increase in the same percentage from popular altcoins like Doge,SHIBA,Ethereum,Ethereum Classic,Litecoin and many others, for me this is a clear sign that altcoins are not the people favorite's anymore like they were in the first bull run of 2017.
I think the change is that, if something costs the same bitcoin price, but the bitcoin price goes up, the altcoin goes up as well. So, let's assume there is a coin that worths 0.01 bitcoin, and that means it was 160 dollars when bitcoin price was 16k, but when bitcoin became 28k, the price of that coin became 280 dollars.

As you can see the price of the coin versus bitcoin didn't change, but because bitcoin price changed the price of that coin looked like that changed as well. You wouldn't be able to trade and make profit with that against bitcoin, but if you were doing it against the dollar then you would have made some profit instead. That's how the current market is working.

You must have a strategy and plan on what altcoin you want to buy, for me if the altcoin price is the same % as the bitcoin price there is no point to invest in altcoin, better to invest in bitcoin only. You must have searching and research what altcoins have a deviation increase from bitcoin, for example, if bitcoin price increases 10% then you must search for altcoins with have more potential increase than 10% i.e. 15%, 20%, or more. that's where the main point of profit is from altcoins.

It was not necessary to study and make research in all altcoins, you're just wasting your time instead, make prior to altcoins that already have a good market performance during the last bear season as it is likely they are having the same scenario. Smart investors don't just invest in Bitcoin alone but make their journey to altcoins as well and with their volatility, somehow give them the chance to possibly earn more than just Bitcoin. In fact, we have noticed that altcoins are growing, meaning many people have an interest in them and are willing to invest despite the risk.
Yes, it's not necessary but important if you are on there. Like XRP, many ppl not prioritize that coin because never got ATH at the moment, but today the price is the opposite of bitcoins, so if someone buys XRP a few days back, the profit is much bigger than bitcoin.

for me this is a clear sign that altcoins are not the people favorite's anymore like they were in the first bull run of 2017.
because a lot of people are tired and got trapped in 2017 and 2021 when investing on altcoin and never get ATH again, except ETH where ever and even exceeded a new ETH, a coin like BNB not yet tested (create new ATH like ETH)
