In my conservative estimate, we are lucky if we will increase by 1% in 2020, honestly we are not big yet compared to the total population of the world potential to adopt with bitcoins, we need more publicity and promotion from the community to achieve a massive adoption.

That is what we are doing now, we see a lot of promotions over the internet with investments and gambling, it takes time to make people adopt as this is still new to them and they might be skeptical on the future of bitcoins.

People are becoming more intelligent as time pass by and thanks to the internet where information is just one click away, with the good benefits of using bitcoins once they will discover this it would be easy for them to adopt with appropriate education.

I believe that most countries will use Bitcoin as payment. Today Bitcoin is becoming increasingly popular, it is progressing. However, progress is only in the developed countries. In developing Bitcoin is open to question, his fate is being decided at the legislative level. The e developed, the poor, or totalitarian countries, about Bitcoin and hear does not want. i think less than 1% 4 years is too short for atleast 5-10% of worlds population to have or know about bitcoin
specially when bitcoin doesnt have that much publicity(advertisement on tv etc..).

I dont think only 1%.... Cause now the user percentage is more than 10 and cant we expect any new user daily. Even if one new user login to any website where bitcoin is accepted or simply written about bitcoin then the percentage will go higher and the price of BTC too for sure and if price is high then it will be major concern in the society peoples Cheesy

I voted 10-20% of people will own bitcoin by 2020 because after the halving this year, mined bitcoin will be lesser and it will be difiicult to have them as people that are having it won't sell their bitcoin easily as its supply is limited and its price is rising. And at the year of 2020 another halving will happen as bitcoin halving happens every 4 years.

I think its gonna be 20 to 30% of the earths population. War is always around in arab countries and internet access are scarce to those who suffer from constant warfare. Many parts in Africa are far from using bitcoins due to walrlords attacks on villages. If there will be no violence around these parts including to those whom i have not mentioned, bitcoin users will be around 60 to 70%.

even though all these problems get solved 70% is quiet large because only 4 more years apart for 2020, within that period adoption may increase and it will be less than 20%

That is too unrealistic, we need more time to make that happen or even would not happen, it is not only bitcoins is the currency in this world although this is popular but when the government will interfere then it is a different story then.

I thought it was too big for the total number of users who will be on the bitcoin bitcoin in 4 years. Earth's total population of about 2 billion if the 60% using bitcoin. of course is of 1 billion users on bitcoin, oh if it happens maybe bitcoin already have a very high price

Unless a government promotes Bitcoin, I think it'll still be slow at that moment. Maybe 1% to 1.5% (around 10M) considering the 7 billion number stays constant and adoption rate is also constant.

Half of the world isn't even connected to the internet yet.

4 years away is not nuch but the world is pretty fucked up and just one big currency going down could add another 20% of users to bitcoin.
Maybe in 10 years i think it we will hover around the 10% mark no matter what happens, users will move in and out. It wilk be treated like most currencies on the world market.
