All those are probably impossible to happen (at least not for 2020) :

I personally don't think it's possible to decide now , we should at least see what's going to happen after the halving block reward and how successful OpenBazaar would be .

I think so. besides, we need to know what percentage people is owning bitcoin now. maybe it's possible to count it by formulas.

There might be 500,000 own or use bitcoin. If there are more than 5 million people use it, the price will be 100 times higher.

If there are more than 5 million people own or use the bitcoin, there will be fewer than 4 bitcoin each for them.

I can't really see it going above the 0-2 in the next 4 years but I could be wrong, think it will be a few more years before we reach enough people to be hitting 2% of the entire world's population which currently stands at just above 7.4 billion http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/

It will less then 5% I believe because there are just so many people on this earth even 5% of 7 billion is a big group of people. IO do not think that so many people will make use of Bitcoin.

I think we are just 30% percent but i hope in the future bitcoin will be popular in our country that we can advertise it in television.
Maybe in the near future will be in 40% if some banks accept bitcoins..
30% is way to much of the population to use Bitcoins, that is not going to happen. I believe that maybe 5% of the people will use Bitcoins. You have to count out so much people like those who do not have internet.
5% is a conservative projection, most likely a realistic one. Although we like that much of a users for the year 2020 as it would bring good benefits to the community especially on our investment but with the rate that is happening now, we cannot expect that to happen. We need some big news like adoption of the big merchandise only, like amazon and other popular sites to boost the popularity of bitcoins.

50% is a conservative estimate for me, with the on going hype of halving today people are a bit curious of what really bitcoin is, they will invest to earn after the halving as it is expected that the price will increase substantially, with the adoption from difference sectors of the business it can be possible and may even exceed my estimate.

With the continues support of the community we can attract number of users in the future, it all start with us the early adopters because if the users increase the price will soar and we are benefited if that will happen.

2020 is still far, we still have few years before it came in, but anyway, I think the impact of the price this years and the halving prior to 2020 would really affect the number of users when 2020 came in, IMO, 10 - 20% would be the best when there is no growth in price and has no improvements implemented, but it would be higher if growth in price and improvements was also done...

10% in 2020 would be something around 700 million users!!!!!
We are having around 2-3 million users now!
I think this is very unlikely to happen.
Something between 20-50 million users would be a great improvement imo.

I agree with this analysis. If the user base increases 30 fold in 2020, the price will be 1000 times of present value.

To be honest i don't even know how many people using bitcoin right now, are there few millions of downloaded wallets, but many people using multiple wallets. How then we can talk about numbers in future?
Can we say how many real users of bitcoin we have on this day?

There might be 100,000 people in the world use bitcoin actively. If the number is increase to 1 million, the price will be 100 times higher.
nobody will know how many bitcoin active users in the world but i think 100.000 is too small because currently bitcoin almost used on every country so it could be 2 million or more now and in the year 2020 might be bitcoin users will increase at least 10 million people or even more

I think they will be 2-5% . we are talking about 140 millions person at least and reaching this percentage will be a good progress for bitcoin

China and India have a huge role to play in this.
If Bitcoin adoption takes off in these 2 countries, you can easily have this figure crossing 5%.

China I can see more of a now moment.

India I see very little, since I dont see any form of development over there and people talking about it outside from this forum.

I voted for 20% and that is mainly that the current concept of bitcoin is to complicated for most people. Just look how 'big' paypal is. NOt very big compared to how long they exist.
The same applies for bitcoin and any other electronic third party service.

i think that is too high.
some percentage around 10%, more or less seems to be more realistic to me and that is still a very high number of people adopting bitcoin which will shoot the price up to the moon.
Yeah i think 10%-25% of people in the earth own bitcoin or holding bitcoins right now.. since bitcoin is not so popular in all country but its nearly to accept some store here in my country bitcoin as payment.. if store are accepting bitcoin as payment maybe it the percentage will be increase.. because they will know what is the use of bitcoins..

Hopefully by then the majority of people still on earth and not on mars if Virgin intergalactic adventures has their way. I saw that they have 300-400 tickets sold.
Branson is a marketing genius for selling space exploration(habituating on another planet safely) tickets to something we won't see for another 20-30 years.  Undecided

2020 is less than 3 years away. Unless something incredibly drastic occurs in the positive direction as far as bitcoin adoption, I don't see how the percentage can change significantly higher than what it is now.

What is the rate of bitcoin adoption vs the rate of people being born minus people dying?

This is a short in the dark, but well,i believe the current numbers of this community is around 200k-400k ,and two things may happen bitcoin reach high value and atract more investors and users, soo the % would be around 20% ,if bitcoin dont hit higger ammounts after the halving, well it may be at 5% as people are avoiding because the bad image connected to bitcoins as some countries are taking heavy measures to dont let it become popular.
