the best thing to do as a newbie is to rank up first your account here on bitcointalk forum. then after that read some articles so that can gain some good ideas from the experts. lastly find some good ICO project to join with ao that you could also earn some coin. goodluck to you mate on your success.
Actually there is no oppornuty for newbie after merit system because newbies have no chance to get merit everbody send own merit own account and they create circulation own accounts.
In my opinion firstly you can learn about knowledge in the forum and get to know more about cryptocurrencies. Now a days the price of cryptocurrency is very low, you can also invest. You can start first by buying bitcoin , ethereum and ripple with small investments and hold it. You should also be active on bitcointalk, make posts and join signature bounty for free tokens. But have patience for 1 month to reach jr.member rank then you can join.
