Until now, I still see the price of altcoins following the price of bitcoin, if the BTC pumps it the altcoins price will go down, but in dollar exchange the alts value is still normal, only the price in BTC units has changed. But I still hope that it won't be forever.
I see altcoin season has started many green colored coins and can go up high however, to invest now you have to be careful because the price is too high and market conditions are difficult to guess
As bitcoin is moving towards 12k many of the altcoins have risen well and continues to rise in anticipation as well that bitcoin bull run will continue and keep growing. So those who has already invested before rather than waiting for long time they are already in profits and would be booking some profits as well. Thus, who just were waiting for fall, it might just be missed, and price seems to move upwards for now.

l do agree partly with your opinion, it seems altcoins season is near to us, however, it doesn't mean altcoin season has already arrived. Indeed after increased BTC, most altcoins have also raised up, but not all of them. ETH is first altcoins which have 35-40% more increased than its own price. l think BTC price increasing affects also other cryptocurrencies prices. However, we should be patient to see the altcoin season. l think it will happen near the end of this year. of course there are many supporting factors, but if BTC dominates at 40% I am sure many altcoins will go up

* Bitcoin dominance Increases when more and more people buy and simply hold BTC.
* Bitcoin dominance decreases when more and more people sell BTC.
So altcoins fate is purely depend on BTCs price reaction or altcoins are independent???guys please share your thoughts on this.

I think the price of altcoins follows the movement of its parent coin, namelyBitcoin. But in some cases, not all Altcoins move in harmony with Bitcoin, there are some Altcoins when Bitcoin goes down, they instead increase in price. We have to analyze with various data around, and not just with one data.
IMHO, when BTC dominate like 2017 alts will raises again, doesn't the average of all alts end up in BTC for the exchange rate, I think this is what will make the price of alts bounce back, let's see if it can go back to the way it used to, in fact I am really waiting for it to happen again!

not always altcoins depending on BTC dominance. as proof that in 2019 bitcoin has increased but all altcoins have a broken price even ETH is powerless to rise to high prices. so that perception might happen a few years back before 2019. because now bitcoin has increased but altcoins are still crawling and cannot rise drastically * Bitcoin dominance Increases when more and more people buy and simply hold BTC.

yes you are right if investing now is very risky, but if you look at market movements it seems unlikely that prices will fall quickly. all depends on the research we do, investment or notyou have to be careful even though it seems impossible to fall fast again but the possibility still exists

Altcoin season will start as soon as Bitcoin reach ATH. So this mean it can not even happen this year, but start in 2021. Or it can start at end of this year. We will fro sure not see Bitcoin AH before end of Autumn. To little time and to much resistance.
Most likely, the pump for altcoin will start in 2021. I suspect that this year a major recovery will occur. it will be seen when bitcoin reaches the price of $ 15k and ethereum reaches the price of $ 500. however, there is the great potential this year.

No need to wait for bitcoin to surpass $ 13k, the current market has uptrend and the prices of the leading altcoins in this market have gone up many times. If you bought them in March 2020, now you have a lot of profit with itDespite of there's a virus, the market is improving and manage to recover right after the panic sell. It means crypto is different from other market that crash.

Kapalmabur I don't think that alt-coin season arrived. I know it's all matter of perspective, but what we are experiencing now
is just an uptrend period, I imagine alt-coin season as a period when some coins and tokens will grow a lot, much more than
now.
For that we need to patient, it's coming! People are getting more interested in what crypto-currencies have to offer, and beyond
that companies and countries are showing interest as well. As crypto-currencies are getting popularity and usage cases the price
