Bad ICOs will be purged, time will tell. Seeing the past, many useless cryptocurrencies have disappeared.
It already ended. Investors not investing icos anymore because they know and they are sure about that they will loose money with icos after now. So projects can not collect money anymore so we can not see too much icos daily these days. That is very good thing for me. Because i believe icos dont deserve these amounts of money. So they can not collect now.
I think that hype is already finished and now only high-quality and properly organized projects will appear on the market. I think that new projects have a future.
We do not need sanctions for ICOs but regulations as this market is a mess. They ask KYC from their investors and even hunters but they are out of regulations themselves. They can disappear with the funds and nothing is happening. That should stop.

When people stop to invest at any ico, to many scam project. They just want make money with ico and then run.
I think this all will end soon with the end of the bear market. Only strongest coins will survive and the bull run will tell whose product is the best. Investors will come back to support the strongest coins.
I think there should be some ICO settings .. for example ICO organizations need some money to pass trusted people. To create a special tuning where each ICO must pass it to eliminate the Probably it will happen 2-3 more years. But do not overlook the fact that there are still successful ICOs out there. Nowadays too many ICO with absurd projects, why I can say that the projects are absurds, because,sometimes we can foun their project just copying from another projects, sometimes we can found that the projects just an hyperbola big bullshit projects.

I do not think ICOs can be sanctioned , because they are most times not bound on rules that will likely do that, most especially those that act based on unanimity. The only set of ICOs i have seen sanctioned were those who operated in the areas nor countries where there are regulatory bodies, protecting the interest of investors, such as FINRA and SEC. Never, fraudsters are always in any market. I think that it will be safer to invest in an ICO when there are special proven platforms for holding an ICO. But there are no such platforms yet.
It's already the end for most ico because right now i don't think a lot of people will put their money blindly in this kind of market, the time when you can earn a lot from ico is basically over and right now they need to comply with regulators to avoid trouble. For now the ico hype is over and it's time for others ico to deliver what they've promised.

As of today, many ICOs are still scam and we can't stop them but we can definitely avoid them by researching and study thoroughly about it. Don't invest to ICO projects that you didnt give time to research or dont even bothering to check if the team is legit or not. We must all vigilant at all times.

ICO and STO are the future of crowdfunding, I will not be surprised when IPO is replaced by ICO and STO as they are better and cheaper way of raising funds. The ICO funding is just getting started and I do not think it will end anytime soon,!
