To regulate the ICO does require a great thought. Because in the cryptocurrency the scope is wider. In this world everyone everywhere can access. I think before the sanctions imposed there must be prevention. Maybe by making an ICO filter.
Hopefully soon - 2017 and first half of 2018 were the years of ICO, now are people disapointed with crypto at all so they invest rather to strong and stable cin than to unknows ICO which is usually at 10 % of ICO price when it goes to this blood bath market!

I strongly recommend that we should have one, it's become more an hyip but the big difference is you are at a big loss if the dev run away after collecting funds and they did not manage to get the project on the exchange, this is what disappoint investors that they are limiting their investment.
I think it's the time when the hype of ICO disappeared. Many ICOs didn't reach their Hard Caps last months and many people don't want to invest in ICOs now because of low ROIs. Unfortunately this means that the effectiveness of the bounty campaigns will also decrease.
While unfortunately there are a lot of scams in the ICO market, be very careful. I think it will end when regulation comes to this market.
I think very soon, many governments will take over, there will be no ICO and fraudsters left, let's say, they will already pass through KYC. Then they will not be able to cheat and they will be much less, but for that they will not be fraudsters

I feel it already ended, we can see that these days only some projects that too only potential ones or the ones which are hyped exceptionally are reaching hard cap. Its getting harder for projects to reach even soft cap, so we can say that the hype has been ended.
Right now, there are less investors in ICO because of the fraudness. So, soon there will be more regulations. ICO will be ruled by vatious blockchain based platform and the fraudness will be reduced. I don't think it will take more time. Within 2019, it will be possible.
maybe the needed education for investors on ico is related this case, however ico projects that do not get support will be collapse and they only get nonsense, we only can remind each other here be more careful in managing the money don't let people around us get stuck in that.

ICO is experiencing not the best time. In fact, there are projects ICO scam. A common problem is that good investors lose money. After all, the investors and keep projects ICO. And the worst thing is that it will not end soon.

They will stop once people stop buying into them and giving them money, there are some very good ones about and I would recommend checking out my signature as this is a pretty hot one.
Mostly though it is getting easier to identify the clown projects so hopefully soon the money will dry up for these scam artists.

hypes are already ended for 5-6 months. nobody can collect money nowadays. even there were a few so strong projects tried to launch a crowdsale but couldnt collect money.
Hype of ico already ends. I myself regret only that I became involved late, everything needs to be done on time. In its time ico brought a lot of money, but at the moment it makes no sense to participate - until the next wave of pump.
We cant deny that last year is a huge hype on the market but turns a big opposite right now. I know we are all patiently waiting for these but we've never knew if there is a hype coming this year cause we are still on bear season.
