Of course you would not jail an ex-president like you would to another person. Trump could have gone the Nixon route if he wanted to and he would have been smart if he did that, just leave politics completely in exchange for a pardon, he would have gotten it as well.

He would have been a person who could walk around freely and do whatever financial crime he wants without worrying about anything else, he would not be jailed, and he would not be worried at all, wouldn't see inside of a jail cell a single day, not even a house arrest, but he decided he wants to keep trying his luck for another term and this is the result. He is really a fool if he thinks that he can steal nuclear information and still be let to become the president again.

I neither prefer Ivanka Trump nor Michelle Obama for the POTUS 2024 elections. Apart from their family connections, these two doesn't have anything in them to become the POTUS. But in case Trump gets disqualified to run in 2024, then there is a good chance that he will ask some of his family members (can be Ivanka or Donald Jr.) to stand in the election. GOP has become a laughing stock over the years. They used to say that they are the only mainstream party with internal democracy in the United States. Look at their state now.

I am curious about why not more people are protesting about this special treatment.

The law should apply to everyone in the same way. There shouldn't be any kind of special treatment.

Of course everyone deserves a fair trial as well. But things like not taking the mugshots for example are non-standard. I'm sure this has happened before, but I reckon it shouldn't.

Ivanka Trump is not in any way qualified to be running for President so thats just a good thing its not likely to occur.   Just electing people because of a family link seems quite wrong for modern day political control of a democratic country, they should have to at least be justifying that power with work done over decades and thats not true here.  
  Chris Christie whether you like them or not is more the kind of path thats correct, he has a proper history to criticize or praise him over.  You have a hint of actions he might take later etc.   I always want to hear a person with strong opinions, justified reasoning and able to defend themselves.   A weak leader is a bad idea all round as it can mean the influence and decisions are truly being taken out of view by people not clearly known as having the influence over that weak character voted on the ballot; nobody should want that scenario.

They did not only avoid taking mugshots of him but also allowed him to continue to hold his passport and he is still allowed to travel abroad if he wanted.
Honestly, I like how the judicial system is trying to keep things calm in the USA, if they locked up Trump pre trial and took his mugshot for everyone to see around the streets I am almost certain and the Trump base would protest in a worse manner than they did back then on Jan 6th 2021.

He is getting a special trearment, because he is a special case, unprecedented in the history of that nation.

I am still waiting to see if Chris Christie is ever going to be considered even more in the polls, I am curious what his odds would look like.

He did seem to get some kind of preferential treatment, because they didn't take a mugshot of him like they would have done with anyone else. They used an old photo instead.

But I think they are just taking their time as this is a very important case. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

To be honest, I am doubtful Trump will ever face serious time in prison, because the political unrest that may trigger around the United States. That is one of the reasons he is still walking around free while anyone else would have been locked up in days or weeks.

There was a young man, who months ago decided to withheld and share through discord confidential information from his workplace, he did it on Discord and he got arrested and handcuffed in days. The difference is that he was not running for president and was not a leading figure in the race.

If there was possible to bet on Trump getting in prison before the presidential elections, I would say he wouldn't.

It's not about his ego or being selfish, if he is prisoned, or at least he is in a situation where he can't be nominated, then there has to be another one. What would republican party do, not have a nominee? Of course they are going to offer a nominee for the candidacy.

For the time being, Trump is leading but that is until this investigation is over, when it is over either he will be in jail or he will be the nominee, it all depends on the result. I believe that they are going to have some hard time, but I think it can still be done one way or another. Trump vs Biden is such a shameful period of USA history, a few decades down the line I really hope people look at this as a terrible period and not the period when all this crazy started.

Maybe that's why we have such odds. Basically, your chance of winning your bet placed on her is less than 3%, right? It's a very small chance. And, w hy it's there at all? Well, there's a lot of time ahead, things can change.

LOL.. GOP has become a laughing stock. Before 2016, I would have considered the GOP as one of the most transparent and fair political parties in the globe. Now GOP has become a private enterprise that is owned and operated by Donald Trump. There is no room for independent opinion. If anyone speaks out against Trump, then the latter would destroy that individual in primary polls. The same people who complained about the Democrat primaries in 2016 (when Bernie Sanders was defeated by Billary with help from super-delegates) are silent in this case.

That is why the Republican party is afraid of Trump, indeed. He has a lot of influence over the red voters, which it could mean he has enough power to divide and destroy the GOP.

For example, I remember than some months ago, there was a rumor that in order to participate within the Republican debates, those nominees had to sign a document promising to accept and support whoever ended up being the chosen candidate. It may be a coincidence, but since then Trump has refused to debate publicly with other Republican runners and even refused to do so in Fox News.

Knowing how selfish Trump is, I don't think that he will allow anyone else to get nominated from the GOP for 2024 polls. Not even Ivanka. We saw that during the 2020 senate runoff for Georgia. Trump refused to campaign after he lost the POTUS elections and as a result GOP lost two senate seats that they would have won otherwise. If someone else becomes the GOP nominee, then Trump will simply refuse to support that candidate and his supporters will simply sit at home and don't vote in the elections. Democrats are more united, at least when compared to the GOP.

I’d like to bet on the election but not until the primaries have been settled. I have my doubts as to whether or not Joe Biden will be healthy enough to truly run for President again so without know for sure who the candidates are, I’ll have to refrain. I do hope that Stake will offer this bet when the times comes as it is fun to bet on elections.

I can agree when you talk about it is possible a surprise to occur in this incoming election. Actually, Barack Obama was a surprise candidate who ended up winning and beating Hillary out her chances to become the first Woman in charge of the USA. Or I think it was another man... I dont recall.
If the health of Biden continues to deteriorate and Trump ends up in prison, then there will be more chances of a younger and less extreme person to take over the polls.

Though, Trump still could run from Prison, as far as I know.

This US presidential election nowadays is unpredictable and the survey will likely give us a preview of what would it be when the real election begins. I don't know if the majority of Americans made the right decision when they put Biden in power but as we have seen today, he hasn't done anything new or improved their nation's crime rate since he was the president this past few years. Now that the next election is close, they surely need to choose the right one that can really make some improvements and peace so that we won't gonna trigger another senseless war with other nations.

I don't think that a lot of people are going to make bets on someone like Michelle Obama. But there will be a few, who explore remote possibilities. POTUS 2024 elections are still more than a year away. Given the health of the two main candidates, there is always a chance of some surprise occurring before the elections. And then we have the Trump conviction drama going on with Hunter Biden laptopgate in the background. The returns are too attractive for high-risk takers to ignore such bets. If I am not wrong, Michelle Obama is being given odds ranging from 36.0 to 96.0.

At least those Republican candidates made clear they are officially running, though. It does not make much sense to me to include candidates which are not even running while there are Republican candidates running officially. Even if they do not stand a chance against Trump.

I don't know who in their right mind would dare to put money on the table for someone who is not running and it is also unlikely to run.
What I am trying to say is that I would not mind to see more Republicans as an option to bet on.

LOL... Michelle Obama is there because the sportsbooks need at least 4-5 options for the Democrat nominee. At this point, apart from Biden and Kennedy, they don't have any other options. Same with the GOP as well. Apart from Trump and DeSantis, there are no other viable alternatives. The primary elections for both the parties are going to be quite boring this time. Everything is predictable and if there are no surprises then it is going to be Trump vs Biden in 2024. And given this, the turnout for the 2024 presidential elections would be very low.

They are just collecting  peoples money putting in Obama like that, its not really valid as a bet and would be a greater long shot then the run up to Trumps first win.   When has that person ever indicated they would not support Biden, the odds of 360 to 1 or more are the level it should be at.
   Kennedy maybe, not likely but we can argue about it perhaps depending on his next speech and how its received by the public.   Santis is the outside bet and I dont like the Trump bet again the odds are too low.

I follow something, if Trump Manages to pass all these Obstacles that the Democrats are putting on them, obviously he will be the president, it is that I have no doubt, the Democrats themselves are burying their way of doing things, because the more they Attack Trump has more power over people , because they see that he is fighting against an oppressive system,  so I would not hesitate to put enough money in a possible bet where I surely Know that I will emerge Victorious, I do not know very well the movement of the USA in Politics , but the way things are going, I think that Trump is being used here to make things go wrong for him , and since politics is that dirty, the average American knows that he will support Trump, his policies will not be the best, but I think they can offer More peace of mind to their National Sovereignty.


It's all a bit doubtful, because Michelle Obama has been there in a very stealthy way, I don't know, maybe she still has a chance to launch herself? There are certain protocols of the laws for politicians in the USA that I am not aware of, but from what I see from these statistics is that they are very well accepted, as for Biden, it does not seem to me that he has done badly, he has many followers, but there are certain things that the common American has not liked his policies very much, especially those related to migration, he has allowed many foreigners to enter, especially our countrymen, but it is not a bad thing, however, the American is very jealous of his country and in order to offer its benefits to people.

At the moment that Trump can win, I think he could turn the pee upside down, everything that Biden has done will turn it around, he will Change all immigration policy, and as for the election , I am not sure that Michelle Obama can come into play, but it would be Interesting that he could do it, also I can't imagine the USA under the presidential leadership of a woman, Hilary Clinton was about to achieve it, and if Trump manages to get away with all the accusations that have been made against him, surely he will find some fault with him to Michelle just as she did with Hilary , this politics thing has to be very careful , many things can be uncovered in a very ugly way.
