Most people are guided by the instincts when buying a coin. They buy a coin if its price rises, and they sell a coin if its price falls. In the first case, they are driven by greed, in the second - by fear.
I sell when it's needed. Last time I had to sell to buy a mobile for example.
Some people need money at that time. Some people sell because of panic when prices fall. All due to the lack of tactical and tactical clarity when entering the crypto market from the beginning.

People are panicking over the decline of bitcoin. Bitcoin is close to the bottom of $6,000, and many believe the market will rebound when it reaches $6,000.
Most people are scared and they expect a lot against altcoin, as they want to earn 100x profit in 2 weeks, is not that so impossible for now. They think that they have lost money and they do not want to lose more, then they sell it. I hold all my altcoins waiting for things to improve and then sell them.
It really depends on the person who owns the altcoins as they should be the ones to decide waht to do with it since it is theirs. But I understand that trying hodl it might actually yield to a greater amount.
I think it's very hard to determine if it's too early or already too late and you never know for sure whether a project gonna succeed or not, that's why many people are selling way too early. It's almost impossible to figure out the highest value a coin could have. That's th whole idea of any market. Otherwise everybody would sell at the highest and bought at the lowest and markets would be perfect, which is unrealistic.
I'm not at all supportive of selling altcoins right after receiving it, but it seems to me that many people simply do not understand that this money can bring even greater profits if one simply keeps and does not sell them for a while.
When I want to buy some coins, I hope to get more profit, so in most cases I do not sell it until I get my profit, it will take a lot of time and wait, but in this case I do not lose anything. So when the market is red I just hold it.

Because, i am scared of losing my profit, afraid of getting a dump, that's why i sell immediately my bounty rewards. Sometimes, i hope that will coin will pump soon, and i am holding my coins in a year, or in 6 months. When nothing happens i will sell it immediately.

So people sell. But some people hold the long time. So people will be know the altcoins information. So before invest any coin choose the best coin then invest long time. Time is important of this process. People get the more from market place. So people before sell the coin check the price. if price will be increase people will be sell.
