Not all altcoin is bad, many altcoins in the market have someway proven to be very good. They have been existing for years and still waxing strong. Many altcoins can only be bad if proven to be so. Many who rate altcoin bad may not have done good research before investing, and when they loose to one or two, all others becomes same. Point is, before you invest in any altcoin, be sure to have carried out research on the coin. Not all altcoin is bad.

When prices reach the highest price, usually the developer team dumps its tokens so that there is an oversupply in the market which makes the price drop. Such projects usually do not have products and only last no more than a year since the initial listing
The question is why do some people generalize all Altcoins as bad? considering there are over 3000 of them out there. One would not have the time to go through each project one by one. to analyze the project. team etc everything behind each crypto project.
There has to be some project out there under good intentions. Not all projects could be a scam. I admit I only have a top 4 i consider when it comes to best coins. But yet many should be decent at least honest projects out there. Afterall we do need more projects. more quality projects out there in order for crypto to succeed.

A lot of people rate Altcoins bad because they have experienced several investment of theirs gone wrong.
I do not agree with you on time to analyse project, because as an investor, your core priorities is to invest right, which means you need to use as many time as possible to ensure that you make the right call on projects to invest upon.

Bitcoin invented smart contracts in 2009 and is the biggest smart contract platform in the world with the most developers, no matter what centralized eth scammers say. Just search github. Bad and unproven are too different things, people just stop caring about new coins because they dont have time to examine the details. There is nothing wrong with innovation and efforts to improve protocols, the original BTC wasnt monetized is maybe why so many are skeptical.
I agree with your answer. Why bother with new projects that are growing by leaps and bounds, promise mountains of gold and always look the same.
Real projects themselves speak about themselves, because the cryptocurrency community is very developed and always sees really worthwhile projects.
