Because it is the first digital/crypto currency created and that it has gained so much value for the past 8 years. With this, more and more are getting interested and are now trying to get some bits for themselves.

I agree with you, because of the major and first invented currency, Bitcoin is mainly becoming popular day by day. not only that but also Bitcoin is getting accepted in many countries is one of the reasons for getting popular. But I believe, Increasing price value is the major causes of being popular cryptocurrency so far. because people love money. people also like those platform where they can get benefitted within a short time period.
