The primary reason for the extension of any bounty campaign project will be to attract new and more investors and to make the token be more well known through different social medias and other community group channels most especially if the target hardcap is close to being reach, so advertisement and promotions will be of big help to achieve the hardcap if they would extend the bounty campaign.
Little collecting projects soft cap , and very often they extend , I think it's in some extent good , but I would like to pay more
This is a testimony to the fact that the project was unsuccessful in promoting the project and the idea of the project was not attractive and has no future.
I believe that because of the lack of market stability, some ICOs raise money with difficulty, they need time to raise all the funds, so the company's generosity is extended.
I think one of the major reasons why some icos extends their bounty campaigns is because , they are yet to reach hardcap or in cases , where hardcap is reached but they need more ads about the project.

that is really annoying when they announce that the project is extended, a bounty that almost a year sometime. and the distribution for the rewards is another few months. wew!!! to much wasting of time. before bounties are almost 1-2months.
I believe that the bounty is held solely in order to raise the interest of the whole community, not just investors.
In the ideal situation, you may be right. But in the real world the investors and the funds collected are far more important than the community for the project.

Yes, I completely agree with you. The cryptocurrency market is very bleak now. It's really hard to sell their tokens quickly. So they need more time for selling to reach the softcap. If the project cannot reach the softcap, we will get nothing and that has been stated in the rules.

So what are the main reasons why so many bounty campaigns are extending now? For me I think it have reasons but for me I guess the main reason is they did not succeed reaching their quota.
I think the main thing is they are can't achieving the soft-cap or hard-cap, so they are extending the bounty campaign for 4/5 weeks because to collect more founds. I think that is the main thing why bounties are extending. But I think good projects are never extending them bounty or ICO, So be careful. There are have a lot of scam projects and ICOs. Bounty campaigns are extending maybe the ICO did not reach their soft cap and hard cap or their pre sale coins are not sold yet. The ICO team and the developer and managers will extend their bounty campaigns so that many participants will join and invest to that campaign and the main reason is that they will extend because they wanted the ICO to be successful in the future and to make their ICO be popular to others to be know and listed in the market.

however, it turns out that they continue to add time to the ICO bounty program they do as it is written clearly on the Redcab thread bounty "Bounty is extended until 15 October 2018. 100,000 extra tokens have been allocated for this extension"

yes I agree, ico is currently very widespread and very fast to develop with many new campaigns making ico more and more in circulation.
I agree with nadbucs that bounty campaigns are losing grounds and that is because many are exiting as scams and people are losing truth on these new ICO's. Due to this no one is investing in their projects and to collect their targeted money they keep extending their campaign. I think until we have a rigid check in place for these new ICO's, people need to be very careful in what they are investing and if their bounty tasks are actually worth.
Investors are walking away from ICOs. I personally do not know anyone who still invests in ICO. Almost everyone but burned and the pockets are pretty empty. I think ICOs are on a freeze and it won't happen much until fresh money is coming into the market.

I agree with this, but besides that there are many things that make several Ico projects extended, such as sales of tokens have not been reached. or because it is indeed a strategy of the team and DEV to complete their project when the market price increases again. because we all know that the price of altcoins in the market today is falling so they don't want to risk the price of their tokens will fall.
