I think 2020 will be good for altcoins. We have already seen the start of it, some of the mini rises this year have been led by alts, and have seen alts increase by more than BTC does. It may be a sign that there is some recognition that good alts are very underpriced right now. Surely we won't see another BTC surge that leaves alts in the dust.
Alts are unlikely to grow much in 2020, but there is hope that this year alts may recover and in the next few years may grow very much in price.
Looking at coinmarketcap today, It seems that Bitcoin is up close to 1% and the majority of altcoins are also up almost 1%. As more money comes into the market and increases the market cap, you can expect altcoins to also increase in price. People selling off their Bitcoins usually end up investing them into other coins. More than likely this will continue the whole year and I'm ready to see a bunch of new money come into the market and pump up the prices of everything.
It is all about the existence of smart money, the smart money shouldn't run away if there is an opportunity on any financial market. Generally, the prices will go higher if the money flows with the increasing total market cap. I doubt the altcoin investors will wait patiently for another year in case of the late bull market, eventually, the price is at the dip levels. 
2020 will come a lot of positive news about crypto and hope everyone will certainly be better than the previous year but as I thought last year if no one knows what happened to altcoin, will there still be many scammers hanging around or will many scammers caught
Scammers will continue to appear in my opinion every day and time so it depends on how smart you are to choose and find out what you will do on a project that you are taking part in.
Scammers have been and will be, not only on the cryptocurrency market, but on all financial markets and wherever money is mentioned. For sure, that this year is starting very positively, will attract even more scammer, so we should draw conclusions, learn and not let ourselves be fooled. This year may be the best for the whole market and let's be of that mind.

It seems that the effect of the growth of bitcoin with a fairly strong market today is helping altcoin to grow together with bitcoin without any significant decline. some altcoins have started the movement, and when bitcoin pumps I think altcoin should be prepared to follow it. now increase market demand, and that will help strengthen the altcoin market so it doesn't dump. 2020 already giving a new hope for altcoins with the recent moves of etc, zec, dash...

2019 had been not so good for altcoins as this year has given us number scam projects and as a result, some of the genuine projects have been failed wherein people just pretended any projects with ICO as a scam. I think 2020 will bring new hopes and some good project in the market by considering 2019 as a learning area.
It is also possible, but I think the trend of new projects will be gone. There have been too many scams but ICO or IEO does not have any commitment to invest. That is why many investors face risks and even lose all their money. 2020 will be a good year to invest in top coins and that is definitely a long-term safe investment for us. Don't try to set a profit target of x10 or x20 for a new altcoin or token, it is called greed and greed often produces very poor results.

Few investors coming, few scammers but as the market is growing, people are also maturing and they are learning from their mistakes. If the market for 2020 is better, I mean if we are bullish this year, I think we cannot eliminate the scam but at least we can minimize the scam, though there's still a scam, the market are still set for a growth as it's destined to succeed.

It does give ME some hope about altcoins. Everyone seems to realize that bitcoin is not the only coin out there, thats a very very important improvement in public interest. After the 2017 peak most people just got out of altcoins and that meant exchanging it to bitcoin and selling that, now bitcoin got hurt as well but alts only had selling off whereas bitcoin had purchases made with alts as well which helped it a bit so alts went down a lot more compared to bitcoin itself, hell its close to 50% of what it used to be on 2017 peak, not too bad, alts are down 80%+ compared to what they used to be.
This year people are actually believing in altcoins and they are actually making good progress as well, I haven't seen that since the ATH times and hopefully this year we will get closer to those days.

Many expectation with new year new hope and new moment to see altcoin back to higher price, but looking with altcoin keep in lower price and never have new motivation how to be competitor for bitcoin and keep dominance on coin market cap more higher percent than bitcoin, but we must waiting several moths later in new year will altcoin can take good hope with higher price or not?
The altcoins which have a huge potential will be considered by the majority of the investors. The low marketcap will not be a case for small altcoin investors and the top altcoins will get high interest.
The top coins are still in the hands of Bitcoin and will not change this year in my opinion, so if you are looking for something safe you should buy Bitcoin and hold it for quite a long time.
Market is always been like this where we cant predict nor say on what would be the fate or situation of alts in the market.
Its neither it would tie or correlate with Bitcoins price or would go to the opposite way.We have seen the dominance is gradually

We all do hope and think that after a year of expectations that happened last year which is 2019, we are now standing all us one now as the new year of 2020 enters our calendar. Another year means another hope and journey to witness and be part for this industry we are all currently into. It seems so good that the year have started with the increase or rise in terms of price for the part of Bitcoin which is for me a good indication of a prosperous year ahead of us. I do believe that this new year will have a lot more to offer to us when it comes to opportunity and rise of prices not just for the part of Bitcoin but also for the part of Altcoins. Well, we are already seeing a step by step increase in the part of Altcoins and since we are just getting started for this year, we do still have lots of precious time to spend and let's just see what will happen to the Altcoin market all throughout this year 2020.

In 2019, I don't think investors want to invest anymore in ICO or new project. I'm sure investors are likely to invest in already large existing coins. In addition, Bitcoin will be halving next year so investors can save their bucks by investing some bitcoin for good. Next year is therefore not a year for new projects, as investors lose hope with new projects. Hopefully all will change and we'll have bull market soon.
No one is really interested in icos anymore, there were those that liked to support icos because they wanted to support new technologies and their development and they are no longer doing it because now most of those coins are scams, speculators are not doing it either because they know they're going to lose their money and finally institutional investors are not going to waste their time with icos because they have too much money and the only markets that can absorb that kind of money are the top coins in the market.

Highly unlikely. Sure the would be some unicorns who outperform the market. My forecast is that BTC is gonna dominate the market.

2018 and 2019 have weakened the altcoins a lot. so what was going on with ICO scams, exits and bad guys is crazy.
no wonder if the whole market has a bad reputation except for a few exceptions and will take longer to recover. no ieo or other things will help. 2020 will hopefully bring some stability again but for most of the altcoins i don't see a place in the market. unfortunately.
I don't know whether 2020 will give new hope or not to everyone in crypto because there are still so many scam projects hanging around but if you look at the significant increase in bitcoin prices it will also have a good impact on altcoin
