we are already in 2020 but we are still at the beginning of the year, have you seen many new projects coming in the altcoin announcement section, if you have seen it hopefully you can smile seeing it, I am sure and make sure that ICO will no longer be feasible in 2020 and maybe will use other ways besides ICO to raise funds for the project, all about fraud already understand it that sometimes we need sites that review any project that is really valid, so that everyone is no longer trapped in fraud, hopefully this year provides the best hope for all person

2019 was really bad for altcoins. Major altcoins have hit their roadblocks and we have seen some of the potential projects go down or just barely alive to get into 2020, With Bitcoin halving coming up and many major developments in top coins, we may see a positive year for all the alts.
I see the opposite, if this is a positive year for bitcoin then it is impossible that it will be a positive year for altcoins, just look at what it is happening in the market right now, the bitcoin dominance is above 68% and altcoins have no way to make that dominance to go down, if the price of bitcoin begins to go up most people are not going to invest only their fiat in bitcoin they're going to sell their altcoins to invest in bitcoin as well making the price of altcoins to go down which is precisely what happened during the last year.

This year will be even harder than last year, there is a bitcoin halving going on with bitcoin and that will most probably cause bitcoin price to go up, now we are not %100 sure the price will go up but thats at least what is expected of bitcoin right now. If bitcoin price goes up, %90 of the time altcoin prices go down, at least goes down versus bitcoin even if not against dollars. That means this year could be a very challenging year for all altcoins that will be put to test against a bitcoin thats about to have its own halving. Maybe ethereum could take a stand with the hard fork Istanbul thats own its way but I don't know if any other coin can do the same. Hopefully I want bitcoin to go up but also altcoins to follow it and go up as well.

2019 had been not so good for altcoins as this year has given us number scam projects and as a result, some of the genuine projects have been failed wherein people just pretended any projects with ICO as a scam. I think 2020 will bring new hopes and some good project in the market by considering 2019 as a learning area.
Everyone certainly really hopes that on 2020 will give a breath of fresh air to cryptocurrency now that continues to decline, especially if we look at 2019 where the number of fraud projects that continue to grow and increasingly make people reluctant to invest in each project for fear of being trapped in the fraud project and of course this has increasingly made cryptocurrency continue to have a quite negatived impacting to date.
Every year investors have their own hopes for this market, but until now, everything is almost impossible to happen as expected. I think this year will still be a difficult year for all investors and you need to be careful because many scam projects are appearing everywhere and need to think many times before deciding to invest. I'm not sure which project will be profitable for you but take the time to find out and consult with people.

This year will be different than the previous year and hopefully everyone can be successful in this field as a lot of old investors are starting to return to this market more in recent days.

At least for today, analyzing what is happening in 2019, it is safe to say that last year the cryptocurrency market returned to a bullish trend.  Of course, things are not at all what cryptocurrency users expected, but a clear increase in cryptocurrency prices did occur.  Based on this, users want to choose the most promising coins for investment and therefore I pay attention only to those projects that are associated with the largest communities of online games for which there is stable demand today, as well as those projects that revolutionize certain areas of human life with  using blockchain, since only such projects will have good prospects.

There has been some indication of an alt surge, as the latest price rises started with alts then went to bitcoin. It is this move to bitcoin that makes me skeptical that alts can rise significantly right now - shortly after the alt rises started, the money went back to bitcoin and alts dropped a bit again.
I can't see a huge alt surge unless the markets in general get a lot more bullish, which is likely to manifest first in a bitcoin rise. Alts don't look strong enough to sustain a rise by themselves.
As we experience in the past, alts often arise when bitcoin increase in price. It's more better to realize that project who is constantly developing and active in market have chance to increase when the price of bitcoin increase too, though it will always depend on what alt or project it is.
The many projects don't have the same perspective and the lack of vision is the first reason why they can't survive even in the bull markets. Developing project teams should be able to estimate the right time for discovering their best performance.
You make a good point but there are stll projects which didn't lack vision but barely flourish in the crypto market and that because the market of now is different to the early days market where project with intact vision thrive. What I'm trying to say is that aside vision there some aspect which new project team most include if they want to thrive.

Your faith and market confidence drive you to feel that crypto market will soon boom. That was a kind of motivation but unfortunately, others don't have such a kind of attitude bringing them into a losing ends. We have the uptrend motion early this year but remember all of this is just a temporary and it is always changed in the next days. Nothing to be sure about the bullish or we drop again, but because of halving events, it certainly brings the market to have a positive response.

Nothing to be sure, but that doesn't mean we have to lose our faith. Many things are not sure in this world, sometimes everything can
look black, everything to point to some disaster, but faith is what should lead us trough the dark times, when things doesn't look bright.
Life teach us about that everyday, and we need to be motivated and to believe in decisions we once made!
Don't change your mind like the weather, be strong and have faith in what you do!

Hope that will emerge will remain in 2020 but about what is new will happen no one can be sure of that.
I hope that 2020 will be a very good year for the Alts, so far they can not get out of the crisis, but only the beginning of the year and still ahead.

The cryptocurrency industry is perhaps the most dynamic in information technology, and within a year, changes can reach incredible proportions. Now in 2020 there is an urgent need to change the vector of development of altcoins into the real business plane, as previous directions in the exchange and gaming industries are not widespread.

it's only hope and we don't know what will happen in 2020, if there is no community to stop scammers then 2020 will be the same as 2018-2019 just need to be more careful

...snipped..

For me and my portfolio 2019 was better than 2018. It's true that many people
lost their faith, but I'm not one of them. Many times I repeated that we can't lose
faith so quickly, with first hard times to run away. If we chose this we need to
have faith in good and bad times too.
I think that 2020 will be better than 2019, but it's still early for fireworks, I agree
with you on that. I hope for that, but in my opinion we will see that in next few years,
we need to be patient now.

True that 2019 was bad but was 2018 good? 2020 is kinda meant to move things further no matter what Cheesy Prices are already slowly consolidating on big time frames so it looks like maybe not a super hyped bull in 2020 but rather stopped bleeding. We need to wait now, people who lost their faith in crypto have to also lose bad emotions and it will take some time. Maybe at 2021NYE someone will convince them to buy again, but it is too soon for fireworks in 2020 imo

If we compare both, 2019 was an improvement of 2018 because 2018 it was all the correction happens and btc even have its lowest and ETH as well which fall down below $100.

This halving that's going to happen this year is a big thing and we are done with the dump since the market has slowly recovered.
In fact we did have a great start this year although we were not able to break some big barriers but it's still a healthy price what we are seeing now.

Not all altcoins has bad movement last 2019 there are some altcoins that actually keeps increasing until now. There are just some altcoins that made for marketing purposes and after they collected enough amount they will abandon the project until the coin die or no value.
Major altcoin were down, just some altcoin increased but not much.
*most* of altcoin, especially from ICO, made for stealing investor money
that's what I conclude from 2019.

Quote
Since this year 2020 and blockhalving is nearly happen soon I think this is not the right year for altcoin to see that the price will increase again maybe for bitcoin but not for altcoin. Because the last blockhalving before the altcoin increase 8 months or after a year the price of altcoin increase(2016 blockhalving then 2017 where the price of altcoin increased.).
I agree with this. altseason won't happen in the near future. at least Bitcoin must increase first, then altcoin can follow it

Unfortunately, but such a long period of bear market has led many altcoins to a situation from which they will probably never rise again. Those projects in which dev team is active have a good chance of achieving a new ATH in 2020. However, if someone is counting on investors to take risks and pump funds into dead coins, unfortunately he will have an unpleasant surprise.
Well, the bear market and the incredible failures of bitcoin not only have temporary consequences, but they also have long-term consequences, typically right now, a lot of altcoins have had highlights in the past, they have been completely wiped out, the price is only lower after each time we check. As you said, if investors still believe that dead coins can return, they may be mistaken, there is no return or promise here, 2020 is the future and this market will continue to move, up and down according to needs, without hope, only in reality.

Right from 2019, I have always been hopeful that 2020 will give a new hope to altcoins and btc as a whole. In the past few days, we have seen tremendous changes in altcoins movements. I hope and believe the greens will continue.
