I don't think we will see this happening the next few years. Bitcoin is the strongest cryptocurrency in the market without dangerous concurrents.

Everyone will accept Bitcoin is the strongest currency where there is no possibility for other coins. Still, many countries are developing blockchain tech for any purpose that's why Bitcoin become very popular when compared to other altcoins.
Bitcoin is popular because it is the very first cryptocurrency that has ever launched and successfully created by satoshi nakamoto. Everyone in this world will not accept bitcoin for sure because they will have different beliefs that they will rely in making decision and we can just have cryptocurrencies for options and not for forced migration of the money that we are gonna be using.

Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
it is very hard to preddict that at this moment...in my opinion bitcoin will never be replaced by other cryptocurrency because bitcoin is the mother  all cryptocurrency. But in the world of crypto you never know what will happen next..Nothing is impossible  Wink

No there is no chance that bitcoin can be replaced by any other cryptocurrencies because bitcoin is more popular and has more greater value than any other cryptocurrencies. So there is no possibility that other cryptocurrency can ever replaced bitcoin in the market.

I do not really accept the speculation that there will be any alternative cryptocurrency that will kick out bitcoin from existence or being the leading cryptocurrency because when we are talking about blockchain technology, bitcoin is seen as the foundation. The developers of bitcoin are not sleeping. Every thing about all other cryptocurrencies have its root from bitcoin.

Cryptocurrencies still a new technology. Maybe with time it will be a stronger developed crypto that gain the place of bitcoin. Technology is border-less.
Actually, I think there is no cryptocurrency can take the place of bitcoin, because as we know all people who use cryptocurrencies, they believe too much in bitcoin unless other altcoins, Also bitcoin is still very brand new and very trustable compared to some other crypto. So at least 15 years more and then maybe will be remplaced by another cryptocurrency.

Wrong, bitcoin can be replaced.

Its just like, the buttoned-phone has now been mostly replaced by touch-phones. Windows 98 has been replaced by Windows 10. Just like that, advancement in crypto-currencies can replace bitcoin. But I don't think so that it'd be in near years/time though.

A while ago there was a big hack at MT.Gox and if these things happen again in the future I see a risk for Bitcoin to be replaced by something that is more secure. Lately you didn't hear about a lot of hacks or people who's wallet got stolen. But as technology evolves so will hackers technology evolve and new technology will replace previous technologies. Also at some point in the future mining will get less interesting, too much heavy equipment need and that also might prompt people to look at alternatives. You don't see that now but we live in fast changing times so I am sure there will be a final day also for Bitcoin.

I think it really is possible, although bitcoin is the fastest rising coin in the cryptoworld, we can never tell what will happen next. I think Bitcoin is still unstable unlike our fiat coins so, anytime it might fall, although its gonna be hard because of the rushing numbers of investors who are turning their money or altcoins into bitcoin. But still, the possibility can't be taken away.

of course that would not be possible, because bitcoin is the world's highest currency cypto this. all altcoin prices are based on bitcoin prices. if the bitcoin price falls, it will affect all altcoin prices. crypto is as a technological tool or a step to get btc

I know that someday there will be an altcoin that would really standout and be treated as great as bitcoin but I'm sure that it won't be replaced or making it obsolete. They will be be used both by people with just different value.

I think it would be very hard for a altcoin to replace bitcoin unless something very serious happens to bitcoin then you would have to be lucky enough to have what ever coin that takes over. Bitcoin is the first and strongest it has built up more and more momentum over the years and with that there are alot of users of it.

I think nothing can replace bitcoin by another cryptocurrency because the value of bitcoin is continuously increasing no other crypto can attain that such value like bitcoin

ethereum is getting close to the bitcoin, but is long way from where bitcoin is. cryptocurrency is a disruptive technology and bitcoin has the advantage of first comer. So i don't think anyone can get to bitcoin in near future.

It could happen but maybe in the long run, but currently it might seem not possible. Another way it can happen very fast is when bitcoin fees goes too extreme or problems starts emerging and nothing is done about it
I think that it is being replaced by many crypto right now. Bitcoin can not be used as a payment method anymore cause of its price. People tend to hold bitcoin instead of spending it and other coins are considered to replace bitcoin to become the next online currency.
Bitcoin is not going to be replaced but you have a point when you say that bitcoin isn't being used as a currency as it is being used as an investment, so I think there is a chance we use bitcoin as a store of value that is not used as a currency that much and that we have another crypto that circulates a lot more and I think the perfect candidate for that is litecoin.

Eventually in the future, bitcoin will be replaced by another crypto currency but not soon. Bitcoin will be available till 2023 for mining. After that bitcoin will remain the costliest crypto currency. However, those who have already set up their expensive mining system, what will they do?

They will obviously find another crypto currency to mine and that crypto currency will become the next big thing after bitcoin. Everything in life, has a expiry date and bitcoin is no exception. But that is not going to happen anytime soon.
You will have to explain some details. Why mining will only be available until 2023? Because we should still have a good 100 years until no new blocks are mined. Also the fees will take over as the reward. Altcoins use different algorithms, with ASCIs it is not possible to switch to the next best coin.
Probably people will not look for another system anymore, they trust bitcoin so much that is why the price that we see now is rising. That is the statement of the majority and create some good demand to make it happen. If there is a specific altcoin that will replace bitcoin, we cannot ascertain what it is due to their huge number.
yes they even do not need to feel about new currency, as bitcoin is still number one and the best crypto currency which is providing the best option to its users, therefore i do not think that we even need to think about another crypto currency.
Bitcoin is the biggest because the community is strong, and it maintains a lot of its respect from the rest of the world because of a lot of the stunning achievements it has accomplished, such as being valued over $1k, being relatively popular with some online financial systems and so, among other things. It's not like other cryptos can just show up, even if they are better.
Bitcoin could be supplanted by another crypto, this won't be the first run through a development is dislodged by another advancement that does likewise yet better, take a gander at Walkmans they were progressive until the point that they were supplanted by discman and after that ipods.
I agree with you i think if it falls then there is a good chance that it will be replaced by another i think that coin will be ethereum because it is also number 2 and it also is a lot pricey then the other coins.
