Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

That is very hard to believe. Bitcoin has been doing fine.  The flow of supply and demand are good. Bitcoin has proved its capabilities and already trusted my many investors since btc was the first digital currency.  So it is very hard to believe that in the future  another currency will be able to replace it.

Have you seen how much of the market cap Bitcoin is actually losing? It had 90% and now it has 39% of it.
Sooner or later the altcoins will surpass bitcoin on the marketcap.

I do not think that this can even happen, the bitcoin is so big and the altcoins are still pretty small compared with the bitcoin.

I guess not, because bitcoin has the potential and made it to the top so it will take long time to be replaced in addition, people has already recognize the use of bitcoin as an investment, currency and asset etheir ways. The bitcoin has the special ability because it is only a limited one fewer than other coins/ altcoins, but isn't impossible to be replaced by another one, there is always been a feasibility for everything even a point percentage.

bitcoin is posible to replace by another coin because bitcoin in my own opinion is not yet the best. to be honest there were so many coins that is 2x times better than bitcoin but despite all of that , i will still continue to use and support bitcoin because bitcoin is still part of my investment and bitcoin also gives me an oppurtunity to earn big aside from my other investment assets. So thats it,  bitcoin can posibly replaced by another coin but not today , maybe next month or next years.

No, the position Bitcoin is holding is out of any crypto’s hold. There may come competitors, but no other coin will be able to rule in place of Bitcoin.

Doubt it and any technological advance that an altcoin has currently that Bitcoin does not, Bitcoin will implement it in due time.

It cannot be replaced by any other crypto, as it havent happened yet.
But it may encounter people who prefer to use BCH instead as they believe is the real bitcoin.

That might happen, bitcoin is replaced with other crypto coins, but not for now. Bitcoin is the strongest and most popular coin among other crypto coins, and it will make bitcoin the top choice.

Everything is possible to happen, we dont know if someday there will be a cryptos that will replace bitcoin. Reality is we dont know the future, so for me its possible. But i think it will not happen now, it will take more time so its possible in the future.

Creating a new cryptocurrency takes time and money. Bitcoins have attracted a number of advocates, so it is very difficult to replace Bitcoin.

I would say only if the tech behind it can out do bitcoin at what it was made to do.
But with the progression it has had with segwit and now the lightening network
It doesn't look like anything else out there has anything better to offer. Undecided

Will be. Moreover, in the game of speculation and market circulation, in the development of technology, it should be limited to two kinds of currencies, saving money and circulating currency.

There is nothing like a "saving money". If a currency itself is being used for investment purpose (i.e for long-term holding), then it ceases to be a currency. It becomes an investment asset (similar to mutual funds and treasury bonds). A currency is not an investment asset.

Will we see another cryptocurrency that is worth more than BTC? Yes, I believe this is absolutely possible in the next three to five years, the industry is brand new and it will take at least a few years to become mainstream. We can see 10 times as much revenue in a lot of cryptographic currencies, just like the BTC does.

In the existing currency, not every man as the BTC virtual currency bring so much of the returns to investors, we must from which to choose, to find out potential opportunity is not easy. BTC is still the best performer in the virtual currency.

Definitely no,  no alts can ever replace bitcoin.  Bitcoin was the first  digital currency and still we are able to used it up to now.  The demand of bitcoin is now continue  to rise,  it means most of the users trust in bitcoin.  So i believe that no other coins can replace it.

I do not think bitcoin will be replaced. Instead, new cryptocurrencies will emerge that serve other purposes or niches. Bitcoin is simply not going away.

It could be said to be impossible because of the bitcoin is the Centre of reference prices for all the coins so if there are other cryptos exceeded bitcoin is, of course, all the coins will also be down the low price.

For me every altcoin is paired with bitcoin. They can be traded against bitcoin like all shares paired with the US. Bitcoin will never die. Cool

Earlier that used to be the case. But it has changed now. Look at the volumes for major alts such as ETH, XRP and BCH. The majority of the volumes are being derived from non-Bitcoin trading pairs (either against fiat cash, or against other alts such as Tether).
