A lot of the cryptocurrency are actually catching up to bitcoin due to them abandoning ship because of the consistent setbacks it has suffered currently because of the forks and the dumps. But I still don’t see any coun or any digital coin in the cryptocurrency matket with the capability to overtake what bitcoin has because it is still light years ahead from its competition. Bitcoin is still the face of the cryptocurrency and would remain so unless a great tragedy happens

Yes i do think BTC will dominate for a while for atleast 5-6 years and then the investors may also get interested in other coins helping them to grow but for now nothing is beating BTC even when it is in it's worst phases

I believe bitcoin is the dominant crypto-coin that will look like an asset of gold in the present days. Bitcoin will not be a means of payment, it will be a coin of storing and multiplying your Fiat money. I think coins like Ethereum can be a means of payment in a store. Since there can be hundreds of other coins in the ETH wallet that will be automatically converted to ETH or NEO or Waves.

I agree to you mate the proof is that when you see in the price value only bitcoin is in the top and no other coins will match from it,so it will always be bitcoin remain dominant forever it is still the king of all crypto.

I don't see any coin taking that position from bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most dominant and will always be. Other altcoin trade alongside of it and bitcoin dictates the market. What people care about is bitcoin and not altcoins besides why do we trade altcoins. is it not to gather more bitcoin to our pockets. If yes then it's simple. Others will only follow its lead.

I think it could remain as the supreme of all crypto in so far as individuals continue supporting it and the innovation behind it is constantly refreshed to the most recent and not behind. Quite possibly's another coins would rise and be more predominant later on, however it would set aside some time for that to happen.

Yes of course and i think it will dominate lifetime as there's no sign for other cryptocurrency available in the market that will beaten bitcoin as it still stronger among all crypto.

i think bitcoin is very dominant because of the high bitcoin prices and the high demand and bitcoin in the crypto world, bitcoin can be dominant in the long run or short because bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and bitcoin already ruled them all. There are thousands of coins yet bitcoin has the dominance of 37.9% as per coinmarketcamp.com. This will only prove that bitcoin will continue to be number one among all coin and will continue to coexist with other coin

Since many ICO projects and the emergence of various altcoins, the bitcoin dominance in the cryptocurrency market has continued to decline so that bitcoin market capitalization is finding it increasingly difficult as investors prefer altcoin to be an investment in the very near future for profit. I'm not sure bitcoin will continue to dominate as the market capitalization of altcoin continues to rise unless investors begin to move their digital investment assets to bitcoin.

I don’t think that bitcoin will remain dominant for so long especially with how the market is shaped up. A lot of companies, corporations and places would like to te avantages of it. That’s why blockchain is having all the noise right now because of such a thing where the above mentioned are all actively seeking trade and business by using these kinds of platforms and being able to offer much more tha what they already have.

Bear season or just the beginning

For me it is likely that bitcoin will remain dominant short term. I am just optimistic on these other altcoins with huge funds and a great team like ethereum and eos. But as mentioned by op, bitcoin might fall from being number 1 but it will remain alive and strong long term.

I think yes. I think too, Bitcoin is still the largest dominant cryptocurrency. Although it has been fluctuated for a long time, but its value has remained high and is widely supported. Many people think that ETH, XRP can compete and take No. 1 position of Bitcoin but I'm not sure about that. I know they have their own advantages, but Bitcoin is the king in the crypto world.
