Maybe 10 years to come who knows. We can't downplay Bitcoin at this moment. For alts like Ethereum to flourish, we need Btc to soar first.

no, ethereum is good crypto with strong team, and i know many project born in ethereum platform
but, i believe ethereum can't pass bitcoin in the next year

Absolutely there's no way for eth to surpass the value of bitcoin, and with the current volatile market eth was more likely to fall compared to bitcoin lately. The price of bitcoin though fluctuates fast, but as per observations ethereum also has very fast changing price which also declined at dumping value.

bitcoin is unique. can only be said that ETH will still be No. 2 or the other altcoin will pass it as XRP did 2 weeks ago. Indeed, it will be hard to beat BTC in this market. Yes, I also think the market will collapse and the ETH coin is way too far away from the BTC, so I do not think ETH can beat the BTC. So I always hold the BTC and give up ETH now.
That's probably my most certain thing, because the BTC is the king of the cryptographic market and ETH is way too far away from the BTC, the ETH value is nothing in this market and now the ETH coin is in danger. muscle decline.
I don’t think so. Ethereum will never catch up with bitcoin. Because BTC is still the coin born sooner and still dominates the select people in the cypto money market. So BTC is never replaced by any coin else 
Keeping the current scenario in mind, and comparing the current market price of Bitcoin and ETH as well as the pace at which the technologies grow, I do not think that ETH can beat Bitcoin any time sooner. It is a race determined not just by the technological advancement but by so many factors and majority of them are in favor of Bitcoin. Besides, the spread of Bitcoin is far more quick that that of ETH and this is why I think ETH cannot catch up with BTC in short term. The long term could be different.

until now I know eth is a good coin to be used as an investment tool. eth deficiency is only from the age factor that is still very young when compared to other coins like xrp, ltc, dash etc. We can only wait as time goes by to decide whether eth is appropriate or not when used as a longterm

The ether needs to solve other problems now, and not how to catch up and overtake bitcoin. There are a lot of competitors who can overthrow the coin slowing down its development and come out only at the ico of using it.
Even if ethereum is one of the better coin in the market. It cannot surpass the price of bitcoin in 2019. Bitcoin will still the no.1 crypto in the market. But who knows? There is still a possibility. So lets wait.
Ethereum cryptocurrency may overtake Bitcoin cryptocurrency at the end of 2019, if the price of Bitcoin cryptocurrency will decrease.
I don't think that things will change so much in nearest year so my answer is no, ETH won't overcome BTC in nearest time at least.
I doubt it will ever happen. There are more chances of some other coin surpassing ETH than ETH or any other one surpassing BTC. XRP surpassed ETH for a day two weeks ago so that can happen again.
It is not possible in this life. Just think about total supply of both coins. BTC total supply has limit at 16m coins, ethereum has around 100m. Price of Eth should be at least 5 time higher to start approaching the BTC.
It is impossible to cross the value of Btc because Bitcoin is a dominant currency which ETH cannot able to reach the value of Bitcoin. ETH is kept declining because of some fake projects launching on this blockchain which makes decrease the value. ETH development team should come up the different solution in order to control fake projects.
In my opinion, the ethereum will pass the btc, because the bitcoin just lost his power in market. It was a top coin for many times. 2019 will change the king, and it will be eth.
