Ethereum passing bitcoin by 2019? Simple answer is it won't happen. Ethereum has more coins than bitcoin and it's market cap is lower than it. The price of bitcoin is higher than the rest and it's supply is lower than ETH so don't think again that there will be time ETH will surpass bitcoin.

There are many comments with this title.. ETH won’t pass in next year. ETH is promising cryptocurrency, but BTC is earliest one, it need to take long long time for ETH to pass BTC. WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ?
As much as I admire the the innovations of the ETH project, I still recognize the huge difference between bitcoin and ethereum. It is possible for ETH to surpass BTC in the future but definitely not 2018 and not next year. BTC retains a huge part of the market and that is the reality. It is inceivable that the value of ethereum will surpass that of bitcoin,not now or in the near future. They may be a chance that they have market caps in the same range but not price
The only thing that can help Bitcoin regain its former strength is its real use as a means of payment. but the society is not ready for this and in the near future the ETH will bypass the BTC anyway.

to my opinion, never it will happen that ETH will surpass BTC in 2019 and even in the future because they are 2 different type of platform, with distinctive purposes, btc supply is always limited with 21 million token, but ETH is unlimited, that has made the value of a ETH token can never be as much as a BTC token, however it is possible if total market value of ETH can surpass BTC in the future when BTC gets weak.
I agree with this. ETH wouldn't surpassed BTC in the future because they are two different coins and the total supply between these two are really far different and it doesn't make sense to compare this two altcoin. Even tho in terms of the volume ETH would beat BTC in the future, but it's not the case.
of course I hope the price of Eth will continue to creep up so that penetrate in pasaran.begitu also with bitkoin price I hope continue to crawl up even more than tahun2019 later ...

For me I won't be that cocky that there won't be any coin that would surpass BTC in value. What I know is that Bitcoin has the most investment in the space, the level of investment in BTC related businesses is huge running to Billions. So for any coin to surpass BTC, it needs to offer something better than we have now, and we need years to prove that. 2019 IMO is a short time

I don't think that ethereum can surpass the bitcoin, because bitcoin is the king. It is affecting the all coin prices and I don't think we can see an altcoin which can reach the cap of bitcoin in next years or maybe decades.
No, ETH is currently much lower price than BTC, there is no reason to make such a sharp increase in ETH, I still think that BTC will dominate the Crypto market in the future.
I'm sure that this will not happen next year. The ether has many problems that they will need to solve in the course of development, so they definitely will not be able to overtake the broadcast next year.
I never thought or imagined eth or any alts to surpass bitcoin because bitcoin will remain on top for years to come, but we will still not know what will happen in the future.
For now and some months I think Ethereum impossible to pass Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world and first famous.

Probably not, if follow the path of the Ethereum market will automatically follow the prices of Bitcoin as well as other altcoins in market. However, this may change if there is any partnership with some institution or a similar agreement to create investor expectations, positively forcing the investment for the short, medium and long term.
