This can't. I dare to affirm. eth is currently very popular especially the ico projects that use eth. But that is not enough for eth to overtake btc in a short time 2019. Currently the number of people interested in bitcoin and want to own bitcoin is very large. And this will make bitcoin always king

Well from ny point of view there are nothing like altcoin that could be dethrone the bitcoin no matter what because with out bitcoin their is no altcoin as of now so i think that no one will pass bitcoin at this momemnt

More likely 2026. Ethereum is a very attractive cryptocurrency but 2019 is just impossible to achieve in terms of surpassing Bitcoin.
We know that ethereum are having a good performance, a lot of uses and huge potential. Ethereum is the second most attractive altcoin that good for investment in long term. Honestly it's very hard to predict on what will happen in 2026 but in 2019 it's impossible to beat the king.
I do not think this is a feasible prediction. ETH is very potent, but evolution takes more time. In addition, altcoin is increasingly balanced and ETH is still the most awaited and trusted platform. But it will be hard to beat bitcoin.
Bitcoin is still dominant by all means, we might say that ETH have a greater chances to be overthrown by other top altcoins for its network has encounter some lots of problems but if we look at the exchange ratio ETH had gained a lot of position. From 1:20 BTC/ETH exchange ratio last year and this month it take about 1:10 ratio, so the value of ETH got high and for the next 5 years if ETH improves a lot then it might be closer to btc value like 1:5.

Well ethereum has promising features, it have a good performance in crypto and of course had a great potential. Ethereum is the most popular altcoin that second to bitcoin and I agree it wouldn't replace bitcoin this coming 2019.

I don't think its gonna happen! BTC will remain to the throne. ETH has far beyond from btc. As we all know bitcoin is often used as a gateway to cryptocurrency by many newbie investors. I think newbie moves the market price of btc that's why it moves fast. From the current market today, mostly of all altcoin is following the movement of bitcoin.

Just compare the current price and you will be the judge if ETH has a change to dethrone Bitcoin is about a year. There have been attempts though, but the so called Flippening didn't happen so I doubt that it can do it next year or even in the next 5 years. Bitcoin has already a lot of lead way, if you think that this is a competition. So I advise everyone to forgot about this idea not just ETH that Bitcoin can really be kick out at the number one position.
Nope it wont happen because ETH is an alternative coin for bitcoin so an alternative works like a shadow and a shadow could never beat the owner of that shadow. Anyway if ethereum will create its block chain that will literally could not be decrypted by anybody then probably it could stand on its own feet. Ethereum is only a platform unlike bitcoin that literally a digital currency a crypto currency where the data is being encrypted and will be difficult to decrypt.
NOt really, Ether is reducing in price at the same time Bitcoin is also falling. They are directly correlated, hence I don't think Ether will ever bypass BTC
Any altcoin has a chance to replace bitcoin! The key is the technology inside the altcoin and the interest of the community, developers and investors!
Which will never get over head and will never attract people and thats why bitcoin will be at the top always.
If you study this topic broadly then you will understand that why bitcoin is always tycoon here. The coin is not just getting invested because it has some great features (everyone knows it has none) but it is getting invested because of its high profitability ratio and security of investment that it always give us. Nothing charming about it but due to its high popularity it will never walk down the road for any other shitcoin.
ETH has promising features and strength, but I highly doubt ETH outrunning Bitcoin in 2019.
