I have a vivid discussion with my friends lately. They say that one day people will forget what cash is and they will start use card only. Then the era of the changed and innovated cryptocurrency world comes, and we will stop using money and switch on crypto coins only. They say it might take twenty or thirty years, maybe longer, but it is a sure thing to happen, they have no doubts about it. I am not so sure... well, people might give up using cash as it is not that convenient, but giving up money as whole? I really really doubt it, it seems so impossible for me. What do you think? Maybe we will start using something brand new, neither cash nor cards? What is the future of the cryptocurrency world, anyway? Will it die in fifty, sixty years or it is going to be a thing that will live forever? Let's dream for a while Smiley
The future of electronic money will survive for so long and thrive in most areas. This is a great field and makes our world even more flat. The transaction will become faster and it is very suitable for a modern world today. But it will still be a money transfer tool and it can not replace fiat money.

I think that the cards will remain, but the cash will disappear completely, like ATMs. Perhaps there will be plastic cards with a cryptocurrency or everyone will use a smartphone to transfer crypto.

It seems to me that cash will exist along with cryptocurrency, and if there is a transition to digital money, it seems to me that it will not be soon!

I personally would like to use cryptocurrency as a means of payment in the future, I do not trust banks, which can freeze my account at any time, I don’t like even the thought that they can

It not likely to happen that cash will be abandoned or forgotten quickly.  It takes large percentage of educated society to latch on to technology and adopt it in to their lifestyle.  Cryptocurrency will be leading in digital money and crypto start up need to start working seriously on ease of use for average user!

I do not think that all people will use cryptocurrency as payment, they will also use cash and all the usual Bank cards.

I think for some transactions people will still use cash to not be on the radar of income tax authorities. I don’t think that cash will disappear in the world. Some countries are too poor to have good banking system and credit cards.

Cashless society maybe possible to happen in the future but i dont know when  will it happen, maybe possible after 10 or 20 years from now. But some people are against of it because some said this is evil, mark of the beast symbolism. There are pros and cons by removing fiat money and moving into cashless society. But i think when it comes to crypto it will create a positive impact that will drives the bitcoin price into higher level.

It's only human nature to be lazy. Hence, the hassle-free way which is using crypto currency will come prevalent in the future.

Right. And it's peer to peer, no bank necessary, it's very convenient, but what about the countries that don't have enough resources to pull off crypto. I think poor countries will still use their cash.

About this you'll be able to browse the works on the socialist models of building a state. however all this, of course, the theory. If you are doing not take into consideration the psychological science of individuals. you'll be able to produce communism (not socialism) on the complete planet, and so you may not would like cash. however an explicit circle of individuals World Health Organization have targeted all the most resources of humanity can ne'er share them, therefore communism could be a dangerous enemy for them.

I believe that this is the logical stage of social develompent. Imagine, that we will not even use terminals and will make payments in vr with some kind of compact vr glasses

Today people want something fast or instant. so for the money the solution is bitcoin. For example, this Bitcoin already exists throughout the world, so if we go abroad we don't need to do money exchange anymore, because we can use bitcoin there, it is one of the advantages of bitcoin compared to other currencies.

I think that in the near future this will not happen. The transition will be slow as necessary and it will take a long time for people to adapt to new technologies.

I really hope that in the future we will be able to notice such changes. But such fundamental changes are unlikely to occur in the coming years. In many areas, cash simply does not have an alternative as a stable and convenient payment method.
I agree. The world isn't ready for crypto or cashless transactions now. I think more people find it convenient to not use cash. But what about identity theft and hackers and card thieves.

With the development of the world of technology and everyone is familiar with the world of electronics. Do not rule out the possibility that one day people will forget cash and use a card. This is a manifestation of time and of course, with this development everyone will be facilitated in doing all things.

I believe this is possible. I have seen YouTube Asians using mobile payments. I believe it will have no cash in the world in the next decade. I think that banknotes are not conducive to circulation, and the speed of depreciation and the cost of printing are all problems.
