I do not think that the system will be crush in the near future, especially in 2018. This is an excellent tool for attracting investment. An excellent tool for creating a token liquidity. The attraction of funds in the traditional market is much more difficult. Listing of shares on a traditional exchange is much more problematic and more expensive. Therefore, ICO is only in the start fo ist development. We have nnly to wait for more stringent regulation and more KYC verification
ICO does not suddenly end, raising funds to invest and profit is legal, and no document can be said to be illegal. It may become another way to adapt to the increasingly standardized investment market.

I think that ICO will live in a bull market, with a bearish we saw what happens with the fundraising campaign, most either do not get or are trading below the ICO price. We saw this already in the autumn of last year and see it now.

If the state does not prohibit ISO, they will not go anywhere. But as the cost of the etherium falls, many people will move away from this token.

Today the majority of ICOs are fundraisers. Many do not have an MVP but only a well-written whitepaper to collect some money. In my opinion many will fail and only those that have a practical purpose will remain. It's not a coincidence that 95% of the ICOs fail.

Disclaimer: The text below is a personal opinion of the author. If you have a different opinion, please share it

ICO causes more and more distrust - thanks to the scammers. At this point, companies that produce and sell tokens are more focused on the product. The product is being developed and improved. And all before the token sale.

The fact is: those companies that enter the token market with a readymade product are more trustworthy. Now, few people are interested in a company that launches ICO just to make a name and earn a lot of money.

ICO is a serious campaign. It requires great resources and professionalism.

There are many companies on this path. Recently, Pavel Durov announced the creation of a light wallet and the release of the Gram token on the Telegram platform. Here is another example - KickCity, a company that has existed for two years. KickCity is engaged in the development of the event industry and issues a KCY token for further expansion of the company.
I don't think so. I think ICO is the first killer app of the blockchain field. Even though 95% or maybe 99% of ICOs are either soft or hard scams, ICO does bring a new model into crowdfunding.

I think it will never dies because people who are risk taker and business minded are all over the world. And also there are past project in ICO like that was successful like Ethereum. Those risk takers will also take risk and follow the past of the past projects. This will continue like a cycle generation by generation because conducting an ICO project is like a business that spread like a contagious disease.

By the way all the countries are banning ICOs, I don't think that ICOs are gonna survive in the coming years but I think that it's not gonna die in 2018, it's gonna take a few more time for the people to know that not all ICOs are worthy of investments.
Yes, the ban on ICO is introduced in many countries, but I think that this is temporary, until the time when regulatory acts will be developed to regulate ICO. The fact is that around the ICO is a lot of money and recently there were many projects that were created only to raise money from investors and the abyss. ICO will not die, but will definitely change their rules of conduct about which we will learn soon.

As we can see ICO campaigns live and thrive. Their number is constantly growing. Of course, some ICOs may die because as we know the world of crypto is a world of strong war and only the strongest survive in blockchain industry. I believe that ICOs which have real potential and really capable to compete will develop through the years.

Why should ICO die? There will always be new start-ups and developments. They demand money. Now it is very easy to find them. Investors multiply their investments, developers make their projects.

I wouldn't be suprised if everyone started to apply same model of ICO in their fundings, much easier and better.

ICO will not die in 2018, but might be regulated.
The good old days for ICOs has gone.
ICO teams won't be able to hit hard cap easily, investors won't make good profit either.

The use of ICOs are being bastardized by scammers, lots of irrelevant projects, too many similar projects, failed projects and people who just want to make money, cut and run. That being said, I dont think ICOs will die in 2018. However the percentage of unsuccessful ICOs may increase as more people become skeptical to invest due to scammers, too many ICOs all at once seeking to share available funds from investors, poor quality projects etc

So conclusion is ICOs wont die but will get more and more unattractive, except something is done.

A lot of ICOs came on bord late last year which many of them came out to be a scam either pump and dump project which saw to it that they investors lost a lot of money in the projects and this end up to give the cryptocurrencies system a bad name, I don't think we need any ICOs because bitcoin and ethereum can perform all the services this new icos tend to offer.

ICO will never be able to die. ICOs are now being imposed by the nations on them. If you want to raise funds through an ICO you must meet the conditions that your country offers. ICOs are still allowed to operate, but they will be put into action. In order to limit the scams ICO, bad quality rampant in the market today. I think that, in the coming time, ICO projects will be potential ICOs for us to invest in them.

Flock news seems to be an interesting ico coming soon. Decentralized news network based on Eth. They're offering a 10k airdrop (0.2 eth value at ico) to the first 100 members of their telegram. Worth it just for that they don't really bug you for info just want you to engage. T.me/flocknewsofficial is their telegram.

I dont see if ICO will die, popularity of ICO just began, we can see this from many previous ICO was successfully reached their hardcap just a few day even just a few hours. In the future ICO will surpass IPO because now many big company chooce ICO to development their project than IPO, just like Telegram.
