Top 100 would be the most that they go up to. They won't get in the top 5 coin list that is a fact. Not that much potential in this coin.

We are going to be back in the 100's by late November and probably sub 75 the market cap right now is just so low compared to what it should be.  And this is with very little product.  Once one of the bigger milestones gets reached we will jump to the top 50 for sure.

Although I am not holding and XBY, this is really conservative opinion. Current number 100 has $12.5m market cap, which is what XTRABYTES had 8 days ago when it was trading at 30c. Basically, it already reached top 100 without many people knowing about it, so it should at least reach top 50 next year.

Currently not holding any because I have my picks for this year, but if I get some extra cash, I might get some.

As a crypto-trader, I haven't heard much about XTRABYTES (actually, I don't know this altcoin before). I checked XTRABYTES in coinmarketcap.com, and I found it to be promising. I think that if the devs were able to promote it further and let the crypto-world know everything about it, this will be a successful altcoin.

As of today, its price is at around $0.015. It has a market cap of $6,825,270 , which is ranked 257th. This is pretty low if we think about it, but the thing that caught my attention is its circulating supply and its volume. As of October 30, 2017, it has a circulating supply of 429,500,000 XBY and a total supply of 650,000,000 XBY, which means that there are still around 220.5 million XBY that are untouched. Also, its volume in last 24 hours is $37,796, which means that there were only around 2.36 million XBY or around 0.55% of the total circulating supply that were traded in that course of time. This means that there are a lot of holders who are not yet trading their XBYs.

However, I don't think that it will be a top 10 cryptocurrency in 2018. Top 100 is the most possible and attainable achievement for this cryptocurrency by the end of 2018. But who knows, if the devs are good enough in spreading the words of their project, this coin might climb up the ladder faster.

That could be true at least one of the spots is vulnerable to be taking over and that being bitconnect.  And if a few governments came out saying they were going to police anon coins and XMR could drop.  I think the last 3 spots of the top 10 are vulnerable to any good coin right now.

There is very little chance of this coin getting in top 10 or 20 with so many good
competing coins. I'll say getting in top 100 is possible.

If the team strives to develop the project, it can become a high place in the rating in a short time. There are many coins that can be cited as examples.

I agree with you. In 2018, this coin will definitely fall into the TOP-20. But to get into the TOP-10, it needs a little more time.

Top 100 most definitely, top 50 easy top 20 likely top 10 is a bit harder to achieve but all we need is a solid stable run of tech releases and new exchanges and we certainly can get there.   

It seems to me that this is a very nice coin. One of the best altcoins and he will be able to enter the top 10.

Your right I think.  As the marketcap increases you would imagine that infighting could increase.  More money, more at risk, more people.  Creating a system for the team to deal with this type of struggle will be key to help the success of the coin down the road.

I don't see this infighting as unique to XBY. If anything it's a lot worse with a lot of other alts. Have you seen the fights going on daily in the Bitcoin thread and especially on reddit? Or even on Bitcoin github?

For every supporter there should be expected to be one or more naysayers. That is the benefit and the price of decentralization so we should accept and embrace this.

If the tech is strong enough, the devs smart enough, the community solid enough, then the FUD will only make it better. See Bitcoin again for a brilliant example of this.

This coin named Xtrabytes got my attention quickly. I believe its one of these long term buy and sleep coins. Yes its very risky as xtrabytes is unknown right now but it can make you rich in 2 years. Community is awesome!

The team put up another press release that I think sums up the benefits of XBY nicely.

This project is developing very fast now and developers have good experience in this. Therefore, I believe that this project has a great future and will become one of the most popular coins in 2018.

Now the whole market is falling, so it is very difficult to assess the coin. Even though it is very promising, today we see a community decline in all coins

We also would be far better off with reasonable growth over a longer period of time.  If we skyrocket to fast the FUDers will just call it a pump and dump when we know that it is just the proper valuation of the coin.
