If a country your in does not legalized gambling then I would also stop gambling to avoid getting in prison. If you did get in prison then that means you have more problems compared to gambling when you have extra time unless you are a gambling addict that only gamble when there's still money and may even results in borrowing money from friends, family or loan in a bank. If you continue to gamble then gamble at your own risk and good luck.

I am not addicted to gambling. I play for fun. If the current government in my country prohibits gambling, i will continue to gamble. I just quit online gambling. I continue to use online crypto casinos. Kind of like gambling without being watched. I don't think gambling is illegal. After all, gamblers do so of their own free will. Banning something increases its appeal.

It doesn't matter a lot. I meant you must aware about that if so many people from the countries who didn't legalized gamblings have been always trying to bypass it by using various ways. I just remind you that if these days it doens't matter your regulators are trying to ban it and there will always be thousands of ways to pass it. Spending a small amounts for entertaining purpose was not so bad at all. You will win lots of money as a jackpot.

Hmm, it depends, but if there is another way to circumvent the law, then maybe some gamblers will continue to play. Like in our country, there are games that are legal, but there are games that is underground and the police as always in the lookout. But you know what? there are still people who prefer that kind of illegal games and are willing to bet on it despite the risk of being caught by the police. So I would say gamblers will always find a way, whether to continue with their gambling thru online betting or other ways. But me personally? I might have to stop and just obey the new laws, I don't want to get caught and sent to jail.

If the ruling government is good enough to fulfill all the requirements of the common people, then I'll follow what is being enforced by the government and change my mind for sure. This won't happen with most of the governments and that makes me gamble as my wish. Governments get the revenue from the taxation, but the same tax isn't used for the people in the right way. Majority of the funds go into the pockets of politicians.

You are a core gambler,I mean you have a reserved or particular time that you use in gambling everyday, just the way some of us are,we even add gambling expenses to our monthly budget because we gamble to entertain ourselves.
A new government came into power, and enacted a law that nobody should gamble anymore in the country i.e gambling becomes illegal. Will you just behave yourself and abide to this new law that is depriving you from having fun as a good citizen ? or will you ignore the law and keep on gambling since there are online casinos that you can gamble secretly with your mobile phones with out no one knowing ?

if the crypto websites are not blocked and still offers anonymity, the bill will not stop gamblers. there is a bear market yet there were still gamblers spending their coins. nothing stops when casino still gives hope for gamblers to win big.  every one now can access these casinos with their phones so even before they sleep, they may access and bet still.

I have been in this exact situation since 2019 the year when the government of the country where I live banned both online and offline casinos, lotto clubs and everything related to them citing as an argument that gambling is destroying families, our youth and things like that. They have though now in September 2022 made again legal online casinos but during the time they were illegal I have played and did not care much about such ban as online casinos combined if you use ones with crypto makes it very easy for anyone to continue playing but yeah I don't care about such law which is restricting,I continue to play secretly without anyone knowing.

Banning gambling n let's say traditional based casino? if they are going to lock it down then obviously, you can't do anything but to follow it, because there are no casino's that you can play.

But online? it will be hard for a country to ban it, might take a lot of resources from the government to stop it. They might as well ban internet for good if they want to enact a law that will make gambling illegal specially online.

At the start of the implementation of the new law, I might stop gambling. Normally, the strictest phase of policy implementation is when it is newly released. So I probably would cease from gambling. But as soon as I observe among other gamblers that they are freely gambling online without the authorities even noticing them, I might also try. But if I see that those who are violating the law by moving into online gambling are penalized, I might as well stop gambling for good.

Your country banned gambling?

Countries that would ban gambling have banned it long time ago. Governments of the countries that has not banned gambling see it as a good means to make internal revenue from tax. Governments in the countries that accept gambling works more on regulating it, rather than ban it. I do not think the question is muh realistic.

In countries where gambling is not legalized, there has always been means some people bypass the ban and gamble, but which I will not recommend.

There is no need of asking, most questions in btt are not asked from the reality aspect of life. They are mostly an assumption to get people discussing what doesn't exist. But such posts cannot be ignored because there is always an answer and in the real sense there could be genuine similar questions which cannot be snubbed.

Bitcoin has brought liberty together with internet, everyone is at the liberty to chose the extent to which they want to exercise their liberty.

Actually gambling is illegal before. People is just too eager to gamble that’s why they are very hard to stop which force the government to create a law to properly regulate them and charge tax at the same time. I believe people will still find a way to gamble even government will prohibit people to use it. Personally if the punishment will be prison I believe I will behave myself because I’m not that compulsive gambler.

If I'm going to prison or will be fined for gambling openly because it's now illegal I don't think it's worth breaking the law I have a family to feed and I love my freedom, so I will just abide and behave but play secretly since they cannot monitor all your activity in your phone, the government come and go and they can only monitor those who gamble openly, but I don't think this is going to happen in our country our casinos and lotteries are government-run and they are making millions to sustain the economy, but if there's a crackdown on online gamblers then I will stop until they ease up.
