This year I think all altcoins also bitcoin was loser of the year, just Binance coin and Eos was winner of this year, other all coins droped very much and I think recovery cant come for one month maybe it going to take a year.

BTC is not really used on a large scale, but BTC cannot be copied in the encrypted world. Just as gold is more collectible in our real world, no one will use gold to go shopping. However, BTC's presence should be close to gold, and its existence value far exceeds its price. 
I think bitcoin is still king in the crypto market. Although 90% of the tokens are now based on ERC-20 which makes ethereum more valuable. I don't think that ethereum will reach bitcoin price this year but it will be rise surely.
Although, ETH has gone to a very wide range but its still following BTC. Don't know what tomorrow will say anyway..

Etherium is born with technology superior to bitcoin, many of the advantages of etherium that bitcoin does not have, it is not impossible that etherium will beat bitcoin, but not in the near future because as we know bitcoin is still firmly on top of crypto.

The spread between the price of any altcoin is very high! Ethereum is trading below 10% of market price of bitcoin and bitcoin price is at it's lowest! It is as clear as day light that bitcoin is indeed winning!
We just got past mid yaer and i think its still too early to determine which coin has had a good year. This year itself has been dominated by the bearish market, Meaning most coins have lost considerable amount of value, including the two coins ET and BTC, , The year as not yet ended though, Ther is still a recovery chance by the end of the year we shall see which coin has performed better than the other
