As much as I hate the current exchange rates at Wirex I need to say they're doing awesome work with their mobile app. But since I would like to actually use (withdraw with good rates) my BTCs I did some research for Wirex alternatives.

I took some exchanges with low fees from @eduBTCs list and here's my result:

XAPO: Damn KYC policy, they want to know the source and the amount of your annual income. Sorry, but that's a no go: https://themerkle.com/users-outrage-over-xapo-bitcoin-platforms-impractical-kyc-processes/

uquid: Seems to have cash flow problems, they sometimes can't even load your card because of missing funds. WTF!? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-debit-card-uquid-best-bitcoin-and-altcoins-debit-card-0-fee-deposit-1485950

CryptoPay: Fees are too high ... didn't look further.

SpectroCoin & AdvCash are looking promising at least I didn't find anything suspicious.

P.S.: I'm ready to leave @Wirex, your app isn't that good that I would pay like 5-9 % exchange rate difference fee per withdraw...Fix it as soon as possible, otherwise you'll lose customers...You're doing many things right, I would love to stay.

Update: Just read about scam accusations regarding SpectroCoin...forget them too :-D

Which service do you recommend ? i see xapo has to lowest fee's according to your tables.
XAPO, spectrocoin or uquid they all have low fees and vary which one has the lowest, just spectrocoin and uquid have a bit better support than XAPO (reacts quicker usually).

thanks, will check them out Smiley

sent ticket too for the ridiculous high fees, and no response, i don't expect any answer from them, just switched to cryptopay
cryptopay also charge pretty high fees of 3.5%

well i don't know how you got that number, accroding to my experience, when you load a card, the rate is displayed , and it's 1.5% lower than kraken's rate, i use mainly EUR currency

i mean it depend to where your btc's comes from, unless there is some hidden fees that i didn't notice, it was my 1st load, will double check next time

The rate to convert BTC to EUR at cryptopay now is 1,122.908 EUR and kraken price is 1,150.990 EUR so the margin is 2.5% + 1% loading fee = 3.5%, be careful with them

Same here: Stay away from these guys. It's not scam but in contrary to their help page the wire transfer took 3 weeks each (tried two times) and the BTX transfer is credited to my account but blocked since two days. Totally ridiculous.

Will sue them if I loose noteworthy on the exchange rate.

I send a support ticket about the high fees and from which exchange do they calculate their rate . They advertise a 3% fee and it is more than 6% , this a steal . Waiting for their reply and after that i'm moving to another service . Is there any authority that we can complain about this ?

On 28 March I had to block the card after I noticed two unauthorized transactions in my account. Since then the card balance ($1567.58) is locked.
Can I get my money transferred to another card, please? Ticket #76159

normally when a chargeback form is filled (which is the case in your situation as I can see), the refund goes to the same card. It could very well be that yours cannot be processed because you had blocked your card yourself.
Getting the money back could be much more complicated in such case, not to mention transferring it to another card - what you should have done really, is wait for the official 14 days for the issue to sort itself out via the standard MasterCard processing rules..

I don't get your point. What choice I had other than block the card myself when I noticed that unauthorized transactions? You are saying I should have waited 14 days, but I waited for 21 days already! Normally, the refund would be credited to the bank account. But being a Wirex customer I even don't know where is the account which my card is linked to. Also, i've re-read my conversation with your support and it appears that money actually never left my account because the transactions were not settled.

However, it is still unclear to me what will happen after my account is unlocked? Will i be able to transfer funds to another card? If not, how can I access money then?

P.S I've got a Visa, not Mastercard

Two days ago Wirex support confirmed that the bank was requested to transfer funds to the virtual card. However, nothing has changed since. My account is still short $1567.58. Why transferring funds between same bank accounts takes so much time?

I just found out that you can't verify your account if you're not from the UK they didn't mention any of it on their website.. what a waste of time and money .. support is the worst.... seriously get your shit together  .. i wouldn't recommend this debit card provider for the moment i will be looking for some other providers ..

I am not from the UK, and i have verified my account.
Well, that was almost a year ago, so i don't know if anything has changed since then.

I am still waiting for an answer support guys :

Enough is enough. People must now see the example of crapy wirex work!

Deposited money to my account. Then sent funds to my credit card which was opened on wirex website. Transaction shows completed. Guess wat- MONEY NEVER ARRIVED TO CARD! but yes, you are right, money was DEDUCTED from my BTC balance. So where is the money?Huh

This is how so called dashboard of theirs shows:
https://preview.ibb.co/mH4BJ5/wirex_crap_card_2.jpg
And this is whats inside the card:
https://preview.ibb.co/bVo5d5/wirex_crap_card.jpg

*****

Ogh, but wait, this not all! I will show a better joke now! There it is:

Withdraw money to my virtual card from paypal. Money arrived to card. Mychoice can see the balance on their website, also if card details entered it shows the details that money is on the card, but in card balance money is not reflected and once i try to unload card it says i have only 1.5 usd and this max what i can use! Take a look:

https://preview.ibb.co/bR1DWQ/wirex_crap_shit_2.jpg

****

And yes, my account is verified, and my cards are verified.
And yes, during couple of last days several times contacted their so called "support" and never got any answer.

I JUST WANT TO TAKE OUT MONEY OF MY ACCOUNT AND WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN BECAUSE OF ALL THIS! ENOUGH!

This new exchange rate is totally ridiculous. I've been using Wirex for some time and it was good but with this 6.32% margin it's clearly time to look for another card.

The Bitstamp price is 1122.99 EUR for 1 BTC

Should have a look at Bitwa.la as well. They give you the live price. For 1120 euros it cost you 1 bitcoin + 5.60 euros in fees.

so 1.004066 BTC = 1120 euros on bitwa.la site. I think that is one of the best rates compared to 1 BTC = 1049.31 EUR on wirex. you save yourself nearly 70 euros from each bitcoin!! that is a huge difference.

Bitwa.la requires verification, so it is a bit different type of business
