You may call it a contest where those who predict correctly wins the prizes. The difference between this and gambling is that here you are just participating in prediction without investing your own money while in gambling you would invest your own money in order to participate in prediction.
Anyways I do agree that most people will consider these two scenarios as same and will treat both of them as gambling.
people don't understand the context here, can gambling without money be called gambling, it doesn't mean that participating in a contest can be called gambling even though playing gambling or competition because without using money it's hard to say it's gambling because there's nothing at stake, even in my opinion it's gambling using fake money or demo game can also be called gambling but unfortunately it is only fake money as a demo.
We cannot consider any betting without money as gambling. There are some situations where money is not exchanged but is treated as a bet. I have some friends who sometimes bet with some others friends where they don't prioritize money. But if they lose the bet they are obliged to give treats. Can i consider such bets as gambling? Definitely not, Because there is no direct relation to money. Moreover, no one has any regrets even if they lose.
That kind of play is different in gambling bets as this certainly talks about money and should be placed upon betting. Gambling is money, apart from that can't be considered gambling anymore as the loser will oblige to pay for his lost bets from his pocket and there is a sort of feelings or emotions. And to that example that you've cited, despite the fact that you lose, you are still happy doing it, treating your friends, unlike the feeling that you lose from gambling - that was a disappointment.

It is really just that there are people who does really love on asking out on something that they do already know. In general then if you arent risking something even not on fiat or physical money form
then it wont really be a gamble. You would really be gambling on something which you do see that you could really be able to benefit into it and this is the time we would really be risking on something
whether it would really be completely lost or would really be getting on the thing that you do want but everything would really be depending or basing up on your luck.
I think everyone doesn't ask something they know unless they haven't found the right answer to that question or the question is multi-definition according to their own perspective. He cites the key word "betting" so one has doubts about whether betting without money is also gambling but the definition of gambling is clear that without betting money or anything physical it is not gambling.

I have never registered on the site that the OP shared, but I have reviewed that predictor game betting for entertainment purposes and competitive win game based on luck, other options can be utilized to get high winnings up to 1 million naira without betting money and we can try to hunt for luck.

For any challenge , games or whatever has to do with casinos , it must always be considered that if there is no game there is no Excitement for some people, that is Something that cannot be Changed from one day to the Next, things When it comes to casinos it's Different , you have Interests that make your game monopolize attention, and it's the same essence of winning or losing money , of hitting it and you're the winner, I think that's what Makes Everything come true See so Interesting, when we Play with money that is not real, things can be Boring , but for educational and learning aspects it is what Normally should be done and play with play money.
what is the category of games that can be classified as educational games,  can we put Crash into such categories because as for me there is nothing educational in playing gambling games if we say for passing time yes I may agree with that since gambling is one of the coolest ways to kill time since cashing fun is always time-consuming.

But then the involvement of money in gambling have really created room for the constant involvement of players since most of them are all in for the winning and money is the motivation.
If I understood correctly, he didn't mean that there are games in gambling that are educational, what he meant was that gambling with demo accounts or in demo mode can be boring but it must be done for learning purposes, and by learning it means to understand how a particular game works and how are the graphics, what you can win for different things if they come, these things are all available in slot machines which are the most played games.

When we talk about the involvement of real money, it obviously is more fun playing with real money since you get to have real money when you hit a big win which isn't the case with free money, unless you are losing which is only good in demo mode since you won't lose real money.

We can not consider gambling when there's no money involved but if they will use things as a bet then it will be called gambling for me. Because once you are guaranteeing anything then that must be called gambling. Anyways nowadays gambling is everywhere means whenever you go there's a gambler playing their favorite game and bet some money hoping that in the end of the day they will gain more money.

Staking down your money is what makes it to be called gambling and also gives you the right to have the opportunity to claiming your money if you win since you've taken the risk of loosing the money through gambling by staking it, without money being involved people will not regards it as gambling than child's play because they believe you're still not giving or making a ground on what you're playing without betting it.

But for obvious reasons,  some of the folks who are addicted to this kind on none betting game are higher than those who are actually addicted to real gambling where they have to stake an amount.
I believe what happens is that when there isn't money involved gamblers don't feel the excitement they use to have when betting for real money. When there is nothing to lose and nothing considerable to win the effects on your brain are different. The release of dopamine doesn't happen, your heart doesn't beat faster, you don't get chills. There aren't high expectations regards the outcome, because if winning or losing the bet it won't make any difference on your life.

It's like people say: no pain, no gain, although in gambling I think we could say: no risk, no thrill.
If it is a gambler, they will not find it any challenge as there is no money involved, and it can make them unwilling to continue. But if there is money, they will surely be eager to continue, and this is where the real temptation of gambling lies. And maybe if there weren't any money, prizes, or anything at stake, it wouldn't be gambling but just an ordinary game played by two or more people. And we also have often experienced it and maybe felt the fun playing the game. Like for example, we compete or play games on phones. We don't get money or anything but only find pleasure in playing it.

It has to be either money or any other valuable things attached to it, else, it's no more gambling as nothing committed is attributed to it. In that case, it's mere playing and not gambling. And you rightly said it, the fact that money is involved is also a motivation that would want people to want to gamble more, without this, people would just see it as a means of fun. It would also never be possible to build any business around it this way.

Indeed, your outlook on the intoxicating thrill of wagering - the adrenaline rushes, the defeats and victories - is enlightening. This emotional whirlwind has an undeniable allure. Yet, I question your dismissal of 'play money.' Consider this: 'Play money' could be a training ground for understanding casino dynamics, couldn't it? A safety net that mitigates financial risks while encouraging growth. It's a win-win: enjoy the game while bypassing fiscal consequences! Plus, it fosters discipline for when real stakes are involved. So, I champion 'play money' as a stepping-stone to safer and smarter gaming.

Absolutely, it can still be called gambling even without money involved. The essence of gambling is staking something of value on an uncertain outcome. Money is often the most common "thing of value," but it could be anything from a prized possession to a person's time. So when playing a game for non-monetary stakes, such as pride, points, or even bragging rights, it can still be considered gambling if there's a risk and uncertainty involved.

Remember, the thrill of gambling comes from the uncertainty, not necessarily the prospect of winning money. Enjoy your games responsibly, whether they involve money or not!
What the heck are you talking about? The majority gamble in order to win big money and not for fun or the uncertainty factor. If there is no money involved, it cannot be called gambling at all.

The minority gamble for fun and the uncertainty factor matters to them, but it still can't be called gambling when money isn't involved.
You are right, if there is no money involved, it isn't gambling at all. Gambling means putting something of value at stake in order to win something in return in case you win the bet that you made, and if you lose the bet, you lose what you had on stake, so anything else that doesn't involve these things cannot be considered gambling, even if you are winning something but not losing anything, you can't call that gambling because in gambling you also lose.

Even those who gamble only for fun use money to do it, one cannot gamble with a demo account or free money to have fun because there is no fun in that at all. What's the fun if you hit a big win and don't get anything because you are using a demo account?
Or simply if there's no something that had been risked out then its not gambling at all and this is why its not really that hard to make out some comparison in between things because even just using up your own
common sense then you would really be able to tell those main differences and not would really be asking with these no sense kind of questions because it could really be answered on your own.

It is really just that there are people who does really love on asking out on something that they do already know. In general then if you arent risking something even not on fiat or physical money form
then it wont really be a gamble. You would really be gambling on something which you do see that you could really be able to benefit into it and this is the time we would really be risking on something

I am one of those people who still gamble using the demo when my funds for gambling have run out.
Playing using the demo mode does not mean that this is gambling but only for entertainment and using the demo mode can be used to find out the types of bets or set strategies before using real bets.
There is a clear difference between gambling with the demo version and gambling with money,  even though in the demo version you are given a fake balance to bet with,  it still does not give the utmost experience unless you are gambling just for the fun of it,  but if you want to test your gambling skills or make some winnings.

Using the demo version won't give you exactly what you want or need,  since in the long run,  you have to walk away with nothing knowing you are in a demo mood and can't even make any significant progress in terms of skills and the rest of the what have you.

But the most important thing before going to play and gamble is the need for real money and or something of value such as an asset to be at stake so that it can be called gambling in its entirety because gambling without something at stake is rather difficult to call it gambling.  Wink
What is certain is that if you don't use money, there is no challenge that people will feel because they can place bets with large amounts of demo money. Gamblers are looking for challenges like that, so it makes them come back for more. But if it's just for fun, they can play without using real money. Well, everyone must desire to gamble or just play without using money or anything that can excite them.
The sad truth is that, only a few people actually plays the demo version of the games if their have the option to play the real game because there is a difference between the two sucne demo games lack some features that are available on the real game because the original game is develop to meet the expectation of bith the casino and the players but demo version is more or less for tutorial and nothing more than that.

Demo versions of games are akin to training wheels on a bicycle. They offer the necessary guidance to get you started, but to truly experience the thrill and challenges of the game, one has to venture into the real version. Just as training wheels can't simulate the balance and agility needed for true cycling, demo games cannot fully capture the intricacies and strategies that real games demand. The human inclination towards meaningful interaction and reward systems often makes the actual game the preferred choice over its demo counterpart.

I am one of the few who plays demo games. If i feel the need to play slots but i ran out of my weekly budget, i might just play demo versions. That cheats my brain and i for some reason feel more or less the same when playing with real money. At the same time i try to get a handle how much could i get if i was lucky and how much would i lose if unlucky.

I haven't felt the demo versions giving me any more wins then real money which surprises me but i am thankful that they keep the real experience and don't try to lure in with fake high probabilities.

The truth for this is that we can refered to them all as gambling  since what most of us understand as gambling is the involvement of a staked amount and since e in both playing inhouse games or making a prediction involve financial  involvmennt with the expectations to win make them all gambling.
So at this point, we cant separate the two from each other and we must align ourselves with that u understanding.
all activities that involve a certain amount of money at stake are a form of gambling activity even though the money or capital you get for gambling does not come from your personal pocket or savings, but from bonuses, events that are being held or gifts from other people to you.  but need to pay close attention that usually the free gifts that gambling sites give to you are just a form of inducement so that when you lose, you will unknowingly deposit your money back to the gambling site for gambling capital, nothing is really free in this world.
Even not in the form of money as long you are staking something then it would really be called gambling but in most cases or situation on which gambling game would really be having that money involvement because
it wont really be called one if there's no something that be at stake. If there is a company which do really give out those kind of offers on which they are really giving out some free picks and having the chance to win up something then this might really be just that promotional or something that cant really be that permanent because it would really be impossible for a company on giving out those free money for nothing and giving out
chances for people to hit up the right spot and make profits and that would really be a huge expense for them. This is why there's no sense that they would be allowing for it to happen since they are running a business
then it would really be just that normal that they would be having promotions but giving out free money or chances? Its really that impossible to last that long.
