I don't have a clue, site looked legit and I had seen some positive reviews...

until that site gets taken down, this will keep happening.

maybe filing a complaint will get the site taken down, or maybe even get you a refund at some point though that is probably unlikely.  complaints: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx

the type of incident is "Money",
the incident characteristics are: "Someone tried to cheat you while buying something" and then "They never delivered the product or service".

I can see now that it was probably a bad idea...

I have sent in 12 BTC for exchange with www.BitcoinExchange.cc

I have not received any sort of confirmation email, nor have I received any reply when attempting to contact him via Skype or E-mail.

I'm hoping he's just having a busy week or something...

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!

What is this the jr high playground? I shouldn't even respond to your nonsense. Myself and one other person got taken on the same week. Koin also posted some threads were he also had questionable transactions.

You want to use him go ahead but he stole over $300 from me, after 30+ days I'm sorry to say he's not coming through. Frankly I debated even re-posting to this thread because of the bump it gets.

I have said my peace, & hopefully mods will do what needs to be done to protect anyone else. I'm done giving this guy anymore ad space, & I'm not responding to  your attempt to troll.

If you clicked on this link from the bitcoinexchange.cc webpage and followed all the way to the end, Don't do business with this person. He took me for hundreds and will not respond to emails.

I have reported this domain to go-daddy, hopefully for quick deletion. Sorry for reviving an old thread but he still uses this as proof he's legit, to defraud more people.

You have been warned!!

Strong words from someone with a whole 15 posts. I've used these guys and would use them again.

in the meantime, what is the process so that the forum user account gets the scammer label or at least this thread gets some type of cautionary flag added to it from the beginning?

I'm curious as well what it takes to mark this handle appropriately.

I think (and I realize as a newbie I'm pushing it) this thread should also be locked as it stands so that the length & repeated posts don't refresh his/her ad & bring more exposer. Unfortunately even changing the reply topic doesn't  change the thread title & every time someone posts there is a chance someone won't read the whole thread & will fall for this guy again.

there have been several customers claiming non-performance here.  what is different this time though is that the operator is not anonymous and is in the u.s. so maybe it is worth trying to pursue legal channels or to file a complaint with law enforcement?

and maybe just like how anonymous sabu had been forced to help the fbi maybe this person's site and forum account are being controlled by some other party now.

Hello everyone,

My most sincere apologies for disappearing.

Many personal issues have prevented me from making an appearance online, and although the processing of transactions was temporarily placed on hold, we are now back and 100% operational.

The hiatus was necessary to maintain the operational security of the enterprise, and ALL transactions that have been sent to me are still here. No ones money has been spent, it is still here, and now that I am able to continue business I am going to proceed to refund / process all pending transactions. I am answering e-mails in the order they are recieved. Contact me via AIM for a quick response: [email protected]

If you are one of the pending transactions, contact me via e-mail or PM right away.

I can go into more detail on the reason for the hiatus over AIM instant messaging.

So once again to reiterate, our service is back and operational and fully staffed. You can find me idling on AIM at any time to resolve any pending transaction you may have.

My PGP key remains the same.

I understand there was much frustration caused by my disapearance, and I do sincerely apologize. Hit me up over AIM and I will tell you why it happened, and work with getting your refund / exchange processed immediately.

Regards,

BtX

Shakaru stepped in and did the trade I needed for me and was awesome.  Got it done really fast, was very responsive, etc.  If anyone needs an exchange I really recommend just contacting Shakaru... he's the type of service you'd expect/hope for from the Bitcoin community.

Thanks for the info Shakuru.

I just went ahead and redeemed my MtGoxUSD code myself.  (FWIW, he apparently hadn't cashed it in.)  I wouldn't be surprised if he's deliberately lazy and takes advantage of people that don't want to hound him/forget/etc.  But at least I haven't been ripped off-- I've just been grossly inconvenienced and am now scrambling for the cash I need.

I definitely do not recommend using this guy's service.

The only reason for a service like this is if time is important, so it's kind of pointless at best and scammy at worst.  Really no honest reason to think someone would setup a service like this if they can't respond to emails within a week.
