What to see. Nothing change since the last time I visit this topic. Wallet is same, price is same. Dead end. I am really dissapointed by the way you will burry this currency for a second time. Well done  1scamologist. Great work

Code:
nohup ./boolbd --no-console >/dev/null 2>&1 &
should work. It literally means "no hangup", and the rest just ensures there's no visible output.
Why not just start it in screen?
Good point. In my case, I already have a ton of stuff in a screen, and I prefer to daemonize everything that doesn't need interaction. But for the original poster, screen might be just fine, and it's arguably easier in some ways.

I wanted to start the boolbd in daemon mode, like the "--detach" parameter of monerod does. My problem is that the daemon starts as a child process of sshd and gets terminated, when the ssh session is closed.
Something like
Code:
nohup ./boolbd --no-console >/dev/null 2>&1 &
should work. It literally means "no hangup", and the rest just ensures there's no visible output.

Short question: how can I get this damn boolbd to detach and run as a daemon? I cannot find a suitable command line parameter

What do you need? I typically just open up a new terminal window, or open a new connection if its a remove machine (or switch views)

Boolberry Daemon Development

There are several methods on the RPC server under development. RPC server updates will allow for making services such as web wallets, transaction auditing (useful for Bitsquare and trustless commerce), statistical information, and even help in improving the native wallet. JavaJared has made progress on getting the nodes to communicate more information during their initial handshake, this is a work in progress.

There have not been any binaries released yet, but there will be in the future, for the people that wish to run code from the organization repository as a matter of convenience.

There is the ongoing desire from several community members for a pull request to be made to CryptoZoidberg's repository. When further updates are finished, this can be done. This would be largely symbolic, as mbe24 has submitted a pull request from our repository to CryptoZoidberg's repository 22 days prior which contains all code changes done to that point in time, this preempts all discussions about this exact topic, and it has not been merged or discussed by CZ. Perhaps there is interest in me personally submitting the pull request?

In any case, whether pull requests get submitted and merged or not, the code changes do not cause hard forks, and are also necessary for the infrastructure that the organization is going to extend to make boolberry more convenient to use. Blockchain Development Company web services (which may also be open source) will be using the updated client regardless.

The code changes being made are also prerequisites for improvements in the wallet experience.

Boolberry Community

The operator of the twitter account is back, and has re-assumed moderation of the Boolberry subreddit and twitter account. They are user Boolberry on bitcointalk and on reddit.

The slack created by mbe24 has 30 members. You can join here https://boolberry.herokuapp.com/ There is interest in some community members for using something besides slack for privacy reasons, spideroak was suggested.

The majority of up to the second development updates and discussions can be found on the slack. In comparison, both bitcointalk threads are relatively quiet, as well as the reddit page.

Several cryptocurrency enthusiasts don’t like the formatting of the research and roadmap report that was put out two months ago. In a direct contrast, the formatting continues to engage people outside of the cryptocurrency community and bringing their interest into the space and ideally will eclipse the relevance of the existing enthusiasts.

The interest includes representatives from large banks that have contacted the organization, about the Boolberry project, directly from the ease of consuming the research report.

Within the existing cryptocurrency enthusiast community, contributors have been inspired by the research report, and understand the vision.

Boolberry Capital Markets

The spot market trades in a wide range on low volume, but high volume purchases share a pattern. The large accumulations appear to hit arbitrarily high prices, but the average purchase prices of those large buy orders continues to be .00021 BTC (21k sat). Although these buy orders immediately incur a loss due to illiquidity, their positions value Boolberry at around a 1.2 million market cap.

Blockchain Development Company uses a variety of quantitative analysis to analyze price trends in markets, and at this point the organization is the fundamental analysis. We don't typically factor in technical analysis especially in illiquid markets, although there is some overlap in the schools of thought. If you would like to know more about that topic feel free to discuss on slack.

Development Fund Updates

There have been some more donations to the developer fund and we need to create formalities on how that gets apportioned. There are upcoming costs when various microservices get launched, but this is subsidized by the Blockchain Development Company's membership in the Microsoft Bizspark program, which provides monthly credits for Microsoft Azure. In the circumstances that the microservices use all of the Azure credits for the month, they can be further paid for from the developer fund.

If there are any opinions about developer fund appropriations to contributors to the open source projects, discuss them!

Is there any interest in getting updates on the observations of the market, along with the development and community updates?

Of course there is. How are things coming along?

There is ongoing analysis of the markets regardless, and just seeing if anyone wants that in the bi-weekly update, given the noteworthy accumulation occurring

Progress towards OTC market eligibility on Bitsquare:

I was able to reach Papa Lazzarrou who created and runs Monero Blocks and asked for the source code from it. He open sourced it and I forked it. Monero Blocks is an api wrapper for the Monero RPC client.

BBR’s RPC functions are outdated and have to be improved as well. This will let us extend many services off of Boolberry, including OTC market functions for Bitsquare, and web wallets.

Javajared started contributing to the BBR project on github, and updated one RPC function. Several more have been prioritized.

The BBR project now uses Waffle.io for ticket tracking, so you can see the progress of what is being worked on there.

https://github.com/BlockchainDevelopmentCompany/boolberry

https://waffle.io/BlockchainDevelopmentCompany/boolberry

Waffle.io is just a visualization for Github issues with labels. Recently Github also released their own “projects” section, but we aren’t using it. Waffle ftw.

Some developers have read the paper and understand the vision and are also in a place where they can contribute and get a net benefit from it.

There have been some donations to the developer fund and we need to create formalities on how that gets apportioned.

Great. Thanks Dev for this info
