I see a revolutionary coin and a revolutionary approach to the community. The tech is great and still under heavy development -> so be patient.
The approach to the crypto community is revolutionary in the sense that we as a community take on this financial privacy centered innovation together.
The world has been in conflict ever since the current elite has existed. It has always been a method http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divide_and_rule to separate the people and getting them not to accomplish their goals and see the real problems.

This is exactly how most people view crypto as well at the moment; they support one team and all the rest is bad. You dont realize this is the revolution the world has been waiting for, for a long time! It's so damn early in the game you actually get to question the development of coins. It's like facebook when they where still programming it. There are no losers in this scene, since everyone here is already aware of these developments.

I understand it's hard to look at this with a new set of eyes, it's a whole new paradigm. (you've learned to view the world in conflict)
Let developers learn and cooperate with each others.
Most coins will fail, but not the lessons they bring the community. We are evolving at a rate that is unlike anything else!
A lot of coins will serve very specific niches of the market. I trust XC with their "odd approach" to make the same kind of gutt based decisions as the team has done until now. I have faith that the coins that cooperate from the view of sharing strengths will boost each other and get this community to an entire new level

Great post...is it worth doing up a "policy" on XCs formal position on collaboration, it sure might save a lot of misunderstanding when announcements get made, and help focus the news in a positive direction.
And now we have a great view of the current situation and a great idea, both in a row

Dan reviewing other coin's code is the best marketing strategy XC could have.

All of the other coin's investor's see their coin's code was reviewed by a guy named Dan, and so they look him up...

This leads them to XC... and because they are already invested in a coin that Dan is reviewing they are more likely to invest in XC.

This is a VERY high yield marketing strategy, and money cannot buy better leads than this.

yeah no.  I see a dev reviewing shitcoins and I see a developer who isn't excited enough about his own project to funnel all of his energy there.

Throw in the fact that the coins are competing - I see a developer who doesn't understand the term conflict of interest.

So no.  That's not what everyone sees.

To commodify ethicality is to ethicise the market

Edit: hey Arlyn, ya think you can read something "cool and hip" before you begin writing this next announcement involving UTIL.  Thanks😄

As opposed to, say, this?

Lol, Exactly. As for cloak, the best move would be for holders to sell and invest here. Yes this is an experiment, but at least we know XCurrency is legit.

A lot of people lost money. They'll attempt a community takeover to recoup some of their losses, plus cloak had quite a bit of press. A respected dev could help to get the coin moving again and back in development.

Fair enough. In that case, best of luck to them.

Has this cloakcoin review been mentioned?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.9173139

Woah. No. Is Cloak still alive?

Sounds like someone's taken the initiative to try raise funds in order to pay for reviews.

After that, presumably they'll approach Dan.

What mystifies me is why they'd bother resurrecting Cloak. What's the point?

In order to avoid repeating myself a third time, please read the posts in the three days prior to XC's announcement of its collaboration with NHZ.

If you still don't get the value of collaboration after that, no-one can help you.

Hi mr XC , lots of people here keep asking questions that could be answered if those people actually became useful human beings and if they researched and read the post instead of asking question only a brain dead idiot would before reading and getting enough information. can you please explain how collaboration will benefit holders of XC. tell it to all the little boys and girls that don't quite understand it.

XC : why certainly young whipper snapper , Collaboration will allow holders of XC to benefit, not only by providing security to the coin and its functions to provide decentralized anonymous features, giving people the freedom back that has only more and more been shown in the news to being taken away at an alarming rate. It will also allow us to earn more money and provide services that benefit not just us but other coins. Xnodes will also be distributing content in a wide range of ways from storage solutions and decentralized advertising , this system will reward xnode holders by increasing their earnings.

But mr XC why hasn't the market gone up 200000000% because of this? like my own deluded reasoning suggest should happen all the time with everything

XC : well young child, this is still in development phase, considering the distributed network isn't completely finished yet, it's incredibly hard for xnodes to earn this extra income from a system that isn't fully complete yet. These collaboration while showing no instant gratification will bolster and strengthen the core of XC while providing strength and stability to the network as a whole.

Wow thanks XC , now it has been explained to me i am still going to be asking ill informed stupid questions because i wont pay attention to anything said here, because all i will do is see the price has gone down 2% and wish to blame something for why it is happening and it is obviously going to be directed at the Dev and how i disagree with how he is doing things.

Genius - should be on the OP

There is no reason to insult potential investors.  Reading this whole thread will not clarify Dan's code reviews for everyone.

It was an attempt at some satirical humor. Some people got it, some people maybe not so much.

while i agree there are some questions that are not fully explained and are perfectly valid questions to be answered, this was more directed , still in a satirical sense. to people who have looked at the words "dan collaborating with Utility coin" and have then jumped to wild conclusions  ranging from :

"Why are you running away from this coin "
"what does this mean for XC"

"If you are wasting your time building the infrastructure of XC how can you help XC" (this one is usually worded differently) I.E "Why is dan working on other projects" - The same question asked every single time, and every single time the answer has been "for the benefit of XC and crypto currencies/decentralization and distribution of power in general"

"Why can't the moon have babies "
"Does this mean XC is dead"
"this isn't how you run a company"
"i saw a coin and don't like it's name, therefore dan should have nothing to do with said coin, cos it's name is not good"
"why is dan making objective decisions based on his coding expertise in how to make XC a better currency and completely ignoring my subjective opinion that i got from "gathering" information for 20 seconds" This also might be a little satirical

The jumping to wild conclusions and thus stating them as factual statements without reading more than a few words of a thread or just a single thread post. Is something that is pretty stupid yet comical in nature, but can actually add more confusion and misplaced feels towards those "potential investors" that you are talking about
