how can they stole coins if wallet has passwort?
So far no further details , like whether or not the wallets were encrypted.
If his wallet was encrypted , then they would have to had a keylogger running on his system to get his passwords, which means his Antivirus did not catch it.

Main Moral to take from this , is always encrypt your wallet and always scan any new downloads extremely well before using.
