Why don't you ask Steve Greer? He's our Community Ambassador. Ask him why he hasn't bought into the coin to any appreciable extent even when the price has been low.

The fall shows me that no one believes in the coin. Otherwise people would have bought much more.
We bought as much as we could and all the sellers were glad that we bought to get ride of the coin.
And as I said this is the worst place to speak about pushing the coin. We have other possibilities cause this is not the only platform.  Zeitcoin is extremely vulnerable cause of the ridiculous trading volume.

Why should anybody buy Zeit???

Until the council is actually formed this is the only space we have to discuss what we would like it to consider.

Until Bitcoin goes mainstream no crypto has any chance of anything more than sheer bloody survival - even Lite & Doge are under pressure.

No feature, gimmick or promise has broken through as yet. (Look at VeriCoin!)

We can dream as big as we want but we have to remain realistic - maybe all we can do is keep the coin breathing by proving that there are still enough people who care enough to make an effort to pick up what we can from the dumpers.

I think the council will make a decision.

We wanna help!!! But no one cares about that. 99.999% just wanna get a piece of the crypto-cake and that's the sad true.
We have to find something that these people  can earn money and we participate from them.
We won't change their thoughts, but we can help others if we can use their avarice.

I'm not firm at the technics, but where is the fee going which I have to pay for every transfer?
The other thing is, we have no project. We wanna help but whom???
If we say that we wanna help, we have to have a real case.
We even don't have a donation address. We have right now nothing as a lot of thought in a couple of direction.

We made plans in a public are to push Zeitcoin. Why don't we use the war room? I bet the whales are lucky about that " hey we can eat the buy walls because they don't have any possibility to build a big one"

Sometimes I feel like being in a Kindergarten- if Zeitcoin goes this direction I will quite.

I agree with Lion. I personally don't see an issue with online gaming, such as one which would require using X amount of Zeit per play (and I mean things like Mario games, puzzles, first person shooters, etc.) if, and only if, we all agree that it would bring due notice to Zeit and get more people to begin investing in and making transactions with Zeit.
I am completely opposed to gambling, though. Gambling has always been associated with crime and addiction, and even in its simplest form, such as using cryptocurrency instead of fiat currency, it is still gambling. I don't believe that Zeit should be associated with online gambling at all.
However, I will concede that ultimately it will be the decision of the counsel.

Lion, I respect your strong feelings in the matter, and I certainly agree that gambling addition (like any addiction) can be a very terrible thing. Drug addiction is also very terrible, but I wouldn't walk away from bitcoin just because someone used it to buy drugs.

That said, I think it's a bit offensive to characterize Texas Holdem Poker as inherently harmful and evil. My business model would allow people to play for free for a long as they like, without ever paying for anything, through the use of giving out free daily zeitcoins. I enjoy playing the game from time to time and I don't have a gambling "addiction". It's all about making wise choices, and that isn't a decision you should necessarily make for others. If you don't want the local casino to be the only thing that helps drive prices for this coin, maybe you should develop your local 3D printing business. Diversity is a good thing I think.

We need to find our soul, but we need to be realistic about what works and what doesn't. Reality is a harsh teacher, and those who don't learn and adapt from her will parish. It's just how things are.

TZM is the past, for sure. But we are, as far as I am aware, still in support of the ideals of the first movie.

I stand against gambling not game-playing.

My objections to games are practical - others are already doing it better, and still getting nowhere. If we just try to follow the popularity bubble we are most deffo doomed. We have to find out own unique 'soul'.

I have a perfect right to state that I will NOT be involved in a coin which supports gambling - just as I hope that every single one of you would refuse to be involved in a coin which supported/promoted child porno, or cannibalism, or...(fill in your own blank!)

which covered this in depth. Word is, craptsy are the MOST likely to get closed down if the rumours are true so FFS get all your coins off there & keep them off - except for instant trades - for at least the next month.

No time for fineries, up to my neck in RW & crypto stuff.

It's not fair to threaten us with sentence like "...walk away forever".
Everybody should have an opinion BUT the counsel is there to make the final decision at the end of day in such questions.
It's a kind of democracy.

Sorry guys, but I am TOTALLY AGAINST, in the strongest possible terms, the use of Zeit for anything to do with gambling.

It goes against everything that the 'principles of Zeitgeist' stand for, it's a dangerous addiction that is helping to keep the downtrodden in even more poverty & I've personally seem a couple of previously-good family lives absolutely destroyed by it.

If the coin takes this route I will immediately offer my entire bag to the knights & walk away forever.

I have principles & I will stand by them.

I really think we need to follow the path that bitcoin followed on its eventual rise, and that's by opening up gambling sites that deal exclusively in zeit, featuring games like texas holdem. Games where paying zeit to save on time or buy digital items, like in-app purchases on iphone or on facebook games, is another route.

But we need people who can develop these sorts of things, and then sufficiently promote them. We could even sell the zeit for much higher than they normally go for, using the leftover cash to further grow the venture. While users can always get small amounts of zeit for free for the small-stakes tables, you will ultimately get users who'll pay $5 for millions of zeit.

We don't even HAVE to develop the system ourselves, we merely have to get other gambling sites who are ALREADY successful with this to simply add other coins (ours) to the mix. Since they are crypto like us, I'm sure they would be happy to assist (esp since we don't directly compete with them).

My recommendation: Contact the people who run the sites promoted in these links, tell them who we are, and ask them if they could assist us with setting up a similar operation for our coin.

Ideally, we would try to diversify this into facebook and tablet/smartphone apps in order to maximize users.

The best part is, the users don't even NEED to know anything about crypto. They'd simply buy the zeit DIRECTLY from the website using their US/EU credit cards (albeit at inflated prices to pay operating costs).

As a result, this website, and others like it, would result in continuous demand for Zeit, and purchasing zeit would be treated as part of the costs of doing business. At no point would we treat it as a "currency", but rather the same way zynga treats its poker chips, except that there is an actual scarcity that exists for these "chips".

In fact, if anyone knows any places where I can get a quote from a web developer to create this site for me, I might even take this up as a business to promote zeit and make a bit extra to pay the bills. I'm sure there would be plenty of volunteers from this community to help with admin duties once things are set up.

If you have a brand (like Coke), you can sell merchandise articles - but we are far away from anything like that.

When 20 people decided to buy a coffee cup or a shirt with a zeitcoin logo, they did it for zeitcoin.

Let's open up our eyes for the bitter reality:
We need something that is real smart and usable - not for us - for everyone.
A genius product or idea brings the customer to ZEIT, not vice versa.
Zeit is nothing special in this pool of 1000 coins and upcoming things in question - like the supernet.

Let's all ask ourself one question: Why should we use ZEIT? No answer?
That's the problem. There is no need for ZEIT.

We don't need any shop, where ZEIT is listed between 200 other currencies, between FIAT and credit cards.
We need a shop where you can simply pay with ZEIT - The coin that stands for technology and progress.

I like the idea of purchasing 3D-Models for printers or game developers.
Another idea could be a picture shop like http://www.dreamstime.com/ - where Webdevs are able to buy commercial pictures for ZEIT.

If we wanna help the needy, we need organizations accepting ZEIT.

Zeit Trading Reminder

Never leave anything on an exchange for extremely long amounts of time that you are not willing to lose.
Best to make your trades Quick and keep the majority of your coins off the exchanges.

Bunch of underground rumors that the US gov., using FinCert & the SEC may start hassling companies dealing in Bitcoins in the coming weeks. May just be a bunch of FUD, but quick trades and not leaving your coins on the exchanges for weeks at a time would be a smart move.

 

I have some ideas about virtual to physical world economy:

Ray for example is pretty well with graphics, I´m not so bad with it too and I think there are many other too. So whats about something like a merchandise shop?
Let´s do something like stickers, and wallpapers which can be bought by Zeitcoin. Publishing at twitter or somewhere else just with a big watermark and for xxx Zeitcoins it can be bought.
The Zeitcoins we are earning could be used to stabilize the coin value.

Trade however you see fit, the market will find its Balance.
The Sword & Shield next year will put in safeguards against dumpers, but for now it is the wild west until 2015. We already skyrocket from $22,000 to $140,000 market cap and back down to $41,000 in a very short amount of time.

A role play Game is one avenue to create a virtual economy where people can buy & sell items to each other in a game and then exchange it for value in the real world and then back again.

These are all ideas that have been put up, and any better suggestions or ideas can certainly replace them. This is just to help focus the planning once more of the Knights are on the RoundTable.

Anyone who thinks they have a better idea for creating a virtual to physical world economy, post it and it will be listed on the ZeitKnights update page every few posts.
