As per the initial odds the Warriors are the favorite to win against the Celtics.

they seemed better at the moment, and a bit fresher certainly
but I do not want to underestimate Celtics at all

it will all depend on first matches, if some team reach 3:1, it would probably mean the end for the series without turnaround
Thompson should be back into squad, and that could also mean more chances to Warriors

The Celtics are in the NBA finals after 12 years. Wonderful. Good Job Celtics and Good luck in the finals. Such a slow start to the season and outa no where they became number two seed, and easily had the hardest playoff schedule. All respects to them. I love all the players in both the Celtics and Warriors but I'm rooting for the Celtics because I want to see the two Jays get their ring.

Good luck, but I don't think it will easily happen. It's their first time in the NBA Finals, so I will go with the team which has the best experience already. Celtics are good, but Warriors are a championship-caliber team, they will take the challenge and will always play like they usually do.

They move the ball and find the open shooters, easy strategy but very effective.

You're right that experience is a strong advantage for the Warriors in the upcoming final series. At the same time, the Celtics are ambitious and unpredictable because they have already managed to win such strong teams as the Bucks and the Heat in previous rounds. To be honest, I'm still not sure which of these two teams will win the final series, but I won't be surprised if the winner is determined only in game 7.

As per the initial odds the Warriors are the favorite to win against the Celtics. But as you have said, it's going to be the first time for Boston so it might be hard for them to cope. What I like about Boston though is that they are a good defensive. team and likes to play in the road. So the first couple of games will be in Warriors homecourt so let's see if Boston will steal one game and then somewhat force a game 7 series.

Well, the crowd is with the Warriors but it's good to see that there are also Celtics fans. But just as said, it won't be that easy for the Celtics but still, the game hasn't started yet.
And most of us fans are liking to talk about the teams that we're in favor of and what we like to win. In the end of it, may the best team win and good luck to both.

People see the Celtics are a good team for their defense, while the Warriors are good on their defense. Let's see which team will win, but I'm pretty sure that the NBA Finals is not going to be a boring series, adjustments will be seen, and may the smartest team wins the Finals.

Curry or Tatum, one of them will probably be winning the Finals MVP already.

They are the favorites but there's no assurance that they will win as it already happened in the past, if you still remember when Iggy on the Finals MVP because of his great defensive job on Lebron, IIRC, it was Curry who was the favorite to win the Finals MVP from their team, but it didn't happen.

It was surprising that Iggy takes that award away from Steph even we all see how great Steph was from that series.

But It's Iggy who shines and really impacted the entire games. We don't know if what will happen this time as the series
not even stared, Boston will also try to bring everything here.

Tatum is also a good contender for that award. Who knows how they will challenge the Warriors, It's a matter of
well the entire squad will play and blend together.

Actually, I see both teams have that same system; they are good at moving the ball, though experienced wise Warriors are more consistent

and really improve their roster, whoever being send to play automatically finds their spot in helping the team. It will be another big challenge

for the Boston. The two J need to come out strong and be ready for any kind of challenges coming from the splash bros. Exciting and

entertaining series and not a one-sided bookies favorite outcome.

That's one advantage of the Warriors here, they have the experience already as they have been in the finals more than once, while the Celtics will have their first and all of them doesn't have it, heck they even didn't go in the ECF finals. So this will be a different ball game, and most likely it will be very hard for them to cope with a them like the Warriors who have fluidity, all of them are moving at the same time and it's hard to defend. But best of luck to those who are going to support the Celtics here, that's a long shot.

2022 NBA Champion poll is up and running. Let's see what Bitcointalk think about this years final series.
Bookmakers show Golden State Warriors more likely to get the trophy. They are more experienced team and they were in this position plenty of times last decade. But Boston want to be in this place for years, now this is a great opportunity for them to show their skills. It will be a big test for Tatum. I'm especially happy for Al Horford, he can see final series in his career at 36. It'll be a really exciting finals and I don't expect it to finish before game six.
It's GSW handsdown but I'm with the underdogs to pull a miracle upset so I voted for them. I thought I would be the only one who would think that way but there are four others apparently hehe.

Tatum always had the talent and he has matured now. He also reminds me of how Curry and Thompson were when they first reached the Finals.
Boston is not consistently shooting well game to game. They have great defense but I think Curry and Thompson will have a field day on 3 pointers. Warriors win in 5 is where I'm at with this years Finals.

I also think that defensive stance of Boston will be changed knowing that Warriors are so effective in perimeter shooting also with inside slashing so most provably this will give a problem with them, also this team will struggle especially if one of Tatum and Brown will struggle for sure we can see them struggle with this run. So they need to be more prepared and condition their minds because GSW is really hard to beat.

As much as I want Boston win the Finals, but based on the series they have showed with the ECF, I guess they are going to struggle more to win against a team which shoots a lot more better than the Heat.
They almost lost the 10 point lead and almost cost them the trip to the Finals. However, If they could improve their shooting percentage and maintain a good defensive plays, they might have a higher chance in winning. But then again, it's the Warriors and we all knew how tough the Warriors are.
The problem most of the time is when Tatum is being shut down and for sure Wiggins will take that job where he is good at. And then, this is not like Miami Heat where Adebayo won't go up to defend Horford acting to shoot a three, Draymond will definitely go up and try to block that shot. It doesn't matter if they will have a second chance opportunity after an offensive rebound as long as every shot will be contested to avoid an easy 3 or 2.
Game 1, I am betting for the Warriors to win it.

Wiggins maybe assigned to defend Jaylen Brown and Draymond Green's mission is to stop Boston's leading super star Jayson Tatum. It is unfortunate that Boston is facing a very experienced team in the finals. But everything is set. Boston should show that they are also good defensively and they can shut down Warriors' scorers. And that they also have enough fire power to combat Warrior's shooting.

I am seriously wondering the salaries of Heat players and how the management let their team be so limited? I respect their success so far but it is clearly not enough. I think, except the Dallas Mavericks, most limited roster was Miami's. Jimmy Butler is amazing and he did everything he could, but for championship they obviously needed much more from the rest of the team. I personally like Bam Adebayo but from a a 5 year / $163,000,300 contract player, Heat should have gotten more offensively. Generally, he is not a good offensive player, he should really improve himself. I cannot but feel bad for the Heat, even though Celtics deserved it fair and square, I feel like Heat's season shouldn't end here.

You can see the salary of the Miami Heat's roster here.

https://hoopshype.com/salaries/miami_heat/

Duncan Robinson who has $15,650,000 this season was not even having a good playing time, I don't understand the decision of the Heat,  he was good during the time Heat played the Lakers in the NBA Finals, but this playoffs, he was pretty limited only.
He is a defensive liability that's why he isn't playing that much this playoffs.

He played well in the Bubble yes and him and Herro are the ones who are doing the offense at that time aside from Butler but it's different now. Correct me but I think the Heat changed their way of playing to a more defensive one that's why they also added Lowry. Robinson is very awful when it comes to defense to the point that it weighs down his offensive capability. I mean yes he can shot threes and he is a three-point specialist but if he can't sink those threes, he is a liability in the court already.

I will not be surprised if he will get traded to another team because he doesn't fit to the Heat's playing style. Maybe he will fit to a more offensive minded team like Warriors.

Wow I had no idea about this 15 million Duncan Robinson deal. I tried to figure out why he is not playing and according to this article (https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/duncan-robinson-heat-76ers-nba-playoffs-playing/xqmpondxttdzhfroetvqwir8) he is not playing only because his defence is bad! It says "The Heat already have one weak perimeter defender in Tyler Herro. It's tough to hide both Herro and Robinson at the same time." That is just unbelievable. There must surely be another reason too. You cannot just not make your one of the most expensive players to play and eventually lose, then think everything will be ok. Especially after seeing how Butler and Adebayor reacted after the game, jersey ripping, I knew that something was wrong. We will probably see some big GM moves from the Heat side. They cannot possibly just continue like this next season. Seems like things have to change.
That's all the reason behind it.
When you watch the full games of the Finals, Coach Spoelstra tried to fit him in, but he just can't and the Heat is not like the Warriors who will do something risky in exchange for a better offense like Steph being the weak side of their defense.
Same with what other teams did with Steph, a switch, they did it too with Duncan Robinson, and Coach Spo didn't like the result and I bet the management also had a say to bench him to strengthen their defensive line.
Now it's over, perhaps next season they could maximize his usage by making plays just for him or improve his defense.

Who knows if they will pull an upset or not their time yet because they are going to face a death squad in Curry,Thompson,Poole and Wiggins. So there's a lot to cover for the Celtics, and they should remain healthy in this series to be able to complete a miracle upset against the Warriors. So let's see how the first game will be, they are going to play at Chase center first wherein the Warriors have a good record to begin with.

I'm excited to see the first game it would be an intense play and I think no one would gonna give an easy win for both teams. This is how it should be for the NBA finals and from the start, Boston has a high chance of reaching this point. I hope they will not choke in this kind of play for this is only a one-time chance for the other players in the team since they don't whether they will be signing again in a competitive team or not.

For the schedules, is it only me, or have they changed it? the games are now 2-3 days intervals? not 1 day?
