No doubt that there are fans and gamblers who got dismay with his action.

As one of the commentators said after that surprise shot, if he is able to shoot that ball, he will be a hero and it's a different story. It's just that Butler didn't nail it. Many question his action because, before that play, all points made by Jimmy Butler were almost attacking in the paint regardless of how many Celtics are trying to stop him. On that supposed clutch shot, he can attack the rim but choose a game-winning shot. Still, great effort for them to make a rally and almost win the game. They are down by 12 points in the last 3 minutes. What a rally they did.

There are lots of "what if" in that play that's why people should not really question what Butler did.

Now the name of the finals is Warriors - Celtics. It is one of the dream matchups I liked to see in this round honestly. Both of these teams had an amazing regular season first and it was like a sneak peek of what was probably going to happen later on. Warriors were tearing their opponents apart by a strong offense performance. Celtics were doing this by not only their offense but also their defense. I'm confident about both teams' deserving this stage. It is hard to make confident predictions for the champion but I feel like it's Celtics' time.

2022 NBA Champion poll is up and running. Let's see what Bitcointalk think about this years final series.
Bookmakers show Golden State Warriors more likely to get the trophy. They are more experienced team and they were in this position plenty of times last decade. But Boston want to be in this place for years, now this is a great opportunity for them to show their skills. It will be a big test for Tatum. I'm especially happy for Al Horford, he can see final series in his career at 36. It'll be a really exciting finals and I don't expect it to finish before game six.
It's GSW handsdown but I'm with the underdogs to pull a miracle upset so I voted for them. I thought I would be the only one who would think that way but there are four others apparently hehe.

Tatum always had the talent and he has matured now. He also reminds me of how Curry and Thompson were when they first reached the Finals.

Guys, what's your opinion about these NBA finals!!!?

I've been thinking seriously... do you believe the Celtics can beat the Warriors!!? Maybe something similar to the Cavs comeback from the 2016 Finals?
I think it will be the Warriors that are going to win the NBA finals. And I don't see the Celtics pulling out a Cavs comeback, but the game will be very tough, There will be no 2 point cushion here, the score could be 1-1 and then 2-2 and then 3-3. So I reckon another game 7 wouldn't hurt and for sure we want this kind of game. But in the  end I'm seeing the Warriors capping up this year with a NBA trophy and Curry getting his 1st Finals MVP.

Great game 7 between the Celtics and Heat. I was a little worried at the end there but the Celtics came through. A great game by Jimmy Butler, but he was one shot away from being a hero at the end when he missed that three. Still, the Heat had a great season they can be proud of. Now we’re set for the Finals between the Warriors and the Celtics.
Still kudos to Jimmy Butler, as his team won't go this far without his brilliant performance and that made this season something memorable and something that they can be proud of. Now, Celtics are off to the finals which will give them a big break if they can beat the battle tested Warriors. These two teams deserve a good fight, so i just hope that there will be no serious injuries that's going to happen in the finals. But expect that there will be unexpected twists that will surprise everyone.

Still kudos to him even though the last sequence of the game is annoying but still I understand why he drop that decision to shot at 3 point area because if he can able to shot that he's team will win. But we cannot blame that their are fans got dismayed for that because if Jimmy drive and shot that ball maybe he can shot it or get a foul then go to over time. But things are done and this season is not really meant for them so maybe next season they will bounce back.

No doubt that there are fans and gamblers who got dismay with his action. It so happens that he decides to take that big risk shooting

that ball. If he made it, the chance of winning will favor them, but things did not happen according to how he think it might be and the outcome

favor Boston, Butler and the rest of the Heat. If all is healthy next year, we will see them as again a good contender in the east side.

Fans knows that he is not a 3 pt shooter that's why its really disappointing to see that last sequence of the game and for sure Jimmy think about that after the game end since if he just  drive that ball which is he's strength for sure we can see a different result compare to what action he do at that game. But as stated the game is already over the luck is not on Heat side so time to move on for fans and now time to speculate or discuss about GSW vs Celtics now.

He said that his mindset was to go for the win, so he take that big risk of taking the 3 pt shoot, unfortunately, it didn't went it.

But imagine if he made that shot?, he is not a good 3 pt shooter, but as a big time player, sometimes they have to take that big risk and then suffer the consequences later, be it good or bad for them.

So the table is set already, GSW vs Celtics. For me it will be the Warriors but it's going to be a long series.

I was hoping to see Celtics in the finals and they made it last night. They won the game by a very close gap and won the series by 4-3 as well. The last minutes of the seventh game were very exciting. Celtics were prone to making simple mistakes then but they still succeeded in keeping their score advantage. After this win by a 100-96 result, they have become Warriors' opponent in the finals and I'm looking forward to watching the games. I wish the final games were at an earlier time in my country but I don't have anything to do about it.  Grin
I think they need that as a lesson in this coming Finals, Warriors are known to be aggressive not just in the offensive but they do as well in the defensive side. Would make a good match considering both team have their young guns but on the experience in Finals days, the Warriors will beat them for that even on the coaching stuff.

Should be a good finals this year.  Boston has the defense to shutdown golden state, and golden state has enough fire power to shoot their way into a championship.  The x factor to this series will be how golden state plans on defending taytum.  He can single handily wreck the series for the Warriors.  Getting my popcorn ready, should be a good one.

This is going to be quite the fun, I do not know how long it will take maybe a sweep or maybe 7 games, but I know for a fact that it is going to be a super fun series. I do not remember when was the last time we saw a finals series between two equally strong teams that didn't had any excuses.

I mean between the cavs vs warriors many times over, and then toronto win with warriors injury, then lakers win during bubble, then last season and whatever that was. Finally we are going to see a series where it is actually quite fun and the loser will not have any reason to lose, and there is no excuse. We are going to see 100% given by both teams and have fun.

I am seriously wondering the salaries of Heat players and how the management let their team be so limited? I respect their success so far but it is clearly not enough. I think, except the Dallas Mavericks, most limited roster was Miami's. Jimmy Butler is amazing and he did everything he could, but for championship they obviously needed much more from the rest of the team. I personally like Bam Adebayo but from a a 5 year / $163,000,300 contract player, Heat should have gotten more offensively. Generally, he is not a good offensive player, he should really improve himself. I cannot but feel bad for the Heat, even though Celtics deserved it fair and square, I feel like Heat's season shouldn't end here.

You can see the salary of the Miami Heat's roster here.

https://hoopshype.com/salaries/miami_heat/

Duncan Robinson who has $15,650,000 this season was not even having a good playing time, I don't understand the decision of the Heat,  he was good during the time Heat played the Lakers in the NBA Finals, but this playoffs, he was pretty limited only.
Wow I had no idea about this 15 million Duncan Robinson deal. I tried to figure out why he is not playing and according to this article (https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/duncan-robinson-heat-76ers-nba-playoffs-playing/xqmpondxttdzhfroetvqwir8) he is not playing only because his defence is bad! It says "The Heat already have one weak perimeter defender in Tyler Herro. It's tough to hide both Herro and Robinson at the same time." That is just unbelievable. There must surely be another reason too. You cannot just not make your one of the most expensive players to play and eventually lose, then think everything will be ok. Especially after seeing how Butler and Adebayor reacted after the game, jersey ripping, I knew that something was wrong. We will probably see some big GM moves from the Heat side. They cannot possibly just continue like this next season. Seems like things have to change.

They're just unfortunate because they were having some injuries along the way, mainly Tyler Herro who could help Butler carrying the team as his offensive performance is also good. But, the Celtics were also dealing the same thing, it's just that the Celtics have more advantage this time because their injury is not that bad.

Yes, I hope that the Finals will be an intense and fun game without having some serious injuries. It will be much more fun if both teams will be healthy as they battle each other through rounds. However, as you said, it's better to prepare for these things as there will be some twist.

Boston Celtics made it to the finals years later, and they did it as a team. There is not a single superstar in the team, there are many good players and team plays. The 7-man rotation gives really good results. They deserved to reach the final.
Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, is a team accustomed to the finals. They will play the final again. It's a matter of curiosity how they will perform in the post-Durant period. Let's see if Curry and Thompson can carry the team.

Celtics really deserved this Finals appearance. However, they're most likely to be the underdog in terms of experience. Curry, Thompson, and Green literally lived in the Finals from the last 5-6 years. They just skipped 2 finals appearances when they're unhealthy. The experience is really a huge factor in a finals match up. Look at how the Celtics carelessly let the Heat cut the 10 point lead in the final minute of game 7 coz they are rushing and so excited to win the series. They should be more careful with facing the Warriors as they are not like the Heat who shoots poor % from beyond the arc.

I agree with you, they can't afford to commit mistakes against the Warriors because they are a great team, they are a good shooter and good in defense as well. When Heat only relied on Butler, this team Warriors is different because they have Klay, Curry, and now Poole, they are good 3 point shooters, and of course Wiggins has joined the party.

It's a good match-up, Warriors have never faced a team yet that played like them in the Finals.

AFAIR, they faced Lebron's team and Leonard's team, now it's not only Tatum's team but it's a whole Celtics team.
I'm excited to see what's gonna happen in this series, and I expect to see an adjustment after adjustment.
