Josh Giddey: The Best NBA Prospect You’ve Never Heard Of

Anyone heard of him? yeah, the article headlines probably right. They've said it'll be the next Luka or Ben Simmon. Cheesy

I've never heard of the man, but got me interested and do some research.

Kid came from Australia, play Point Guard and great in passing. But I think it's too early to make a statement and time will tell. Better hope not to see another Dante Exum.
Haven't heard of him either.
Australian kid, great passing. All I can think about is Ben Simmons.
I hope he is also good at defense just like Ben.
I will try to watch some of his highlights later.
Fortunately, if I don't miss some updates, there are no reports yet where an NBA player got reinfected again with the virus.
Yeah, it must be the immune system of our body after being infected once.
I'm more worried about these players that got positive last June and this month. They shouldn't be allowed to play the whole month of August. I know they are important players but the virus is tricky. I don't have the guts to defend a guy that got positive just last month although he was recovered now lol.
I doubt they will be allowed to play at a 1-month span.
Recovery and 14-day quarantine to say they are really clear from the virus.
It will take almost a month.

The latest was:
Landry Shamet of LA Clippers on July 4
Three unnamed players of Miami Heat on July 3,4

I think he meant for a player that got positive, recovered, and then the virus was re-activated. There are cases like that, especially in South Korea. As for searching, I found no NBA player and hope there will no cases of that.

Also guys remember that there will be regular season games as well, mostly not going to change too much, maaaaybe 8th seed in the west but thats it, so the regular season will not be "too" important, still important due to seeding positions but almost all teams that are going to playoffs are already decided. So if one of your favorite and best player is out due to covid, and even if he feels awesome, you can still wait him around until he joins, don't know the situation on if anyone can join later on with a clear bill of health, but he can just come with the team if he is clear and just wait out few more games and get better. Or just play very very limited minutes like 10-12 until he feels better. That way you both got to keep your player for the future and playoffs, but you also do not put too much pressure on him the very first moment games starts.

Here's a complete list of NBA players opting out of 2020 season return

Nikola Jokic is not in the list. There's still hope... read the details below.

This is what I like in NBA protocols regarding players that got infected with the virus.

They required Jokic to report two negative tests from Serbia, and twice more back in the United States, before being cleared to travel with the Nuggets. It's risky for a just a recently infected person to rejoin the team even they are declared clear from the virus that's why multiple tests within a given timeframe are necessary.

Fortunately, if I don't miss some updates, there are no reports yet where an NBA player got reinfected again with the virus.

Denver head coach Michael Malone said Wednesday that Jokic (illness) "feels great" while recovering from the coronavirus and is on track to join the Nuggets when the team heads to Orlando next week for the resumption of the 2019-20 NBA season, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.

These days even if you are as good as Ben Simmons, without a three point shooting skill you are going to hit a cap that usually other players can pass above you. Even Giannis managed to put a bit of three pointer into his arsenal and now he shoots a bit of it, not too much but enough that you can't just leave him wide open like you can leave Ben Simmons wide open.

I am sure he is a great kid and he will have his time, but unless Giddey puts a bit of three pointer into his arsenal there is really not that much he can do in NBA that others can't. Also playing on a league is definitely much better than playing in college for personal growth but not so much for draft. Luka Doncic was the youngest MVP ever and I said he was 100% clear cut no doubt first pick easily, yet he went third (by the team that had fifth pick on a trade) so you may realize that its harder to get scouts attention that way, but it definitely improves your play into a much better way.

Chandler Parsons got the biggest contract in the list, so probably that's worst.

This is the news pertaining to that figure.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/16679527/chandler-parsons-agrees-max-deal-memphis-grizzlies
Thanks for your input.

and his stats was very disappointing ,

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/parsoch01.html

His best times in basketball was with the Rockets, probably injuries are the main reason on the drop of stats.

Allow me to use the the reference for screenshot.

Chandler Parsons was the worse overrated NBA player in his time because he hasn't shone any impressive games after all those years nothing to be highlighted at all. nor he gives Memphis any competitive playoff match when he was there. even though when he was traded to Houston, his game was changed and didn't bring any competitive match up to the other players. He was just worse than the other players on the list.

As you can see his stats above you, his numbers are already going down and during his time with the Dallas Mavericks, he was already injured many times that made him miss a lot of games. I just don't understand why the Memphis signed him with that figure, I think Memphis are good at signing injured players, because they also did it with Conley for  $153 million in 5 years.

Report:Mike Conley agrees to max contract with Grizzlies

Man, this is the product of a bored mind, probably working at home because of the pandemic lol.
Haha, so true. Different crazy ideas are being thrown.
I don't know man! Are they making the NBA like a console game now?

Lol. What's more funny is they've said this in the last sentence.

Wow! LaMelo Ball goes to the warriors as the number 1 pick.

How is that?

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/2020-nba-mock-draft-lamelo-ball-goes-no-1-as-warriors-pick-prospect-with-the-highest-upside/

I think it's a good help for the warriors to get back to the number 1 spot again, of course with both Curry and Thompson playing healthy.

It's just a mock draft.
A simulation. There is a higher percentage of Warriors will be his team. But with so many guards in that team, I doubt they will take another.
They might need more of a forward rather than a point guard or a playmaker.

Quote
1. If you hit at three on a neighbor’s court from your own court it’s worth 10 points.
2. Three court shots can be attempted in the final three seconds of each quarter. A three court shot is worth 20 points.
3. As soon as a team goes on a 10-0 run additional basketballs are released on neighboring courts for MULTI BALL. Each team can send their bench to the courts to rack up points until the ball goes out of bounds, then it’s lost.

Correct me If I'm wrong, but I think it's pointless. If they're gonna be kept and intact inside the facility, these social distancing stuff won't matter as they are for sure safe from the inside. Plus, the court is wide.

There should be no need for social distancing as they are already tested, players who were going to the venue are safe, so no risk at all.

on the other news, if not yet posted here, allow me to post it.

Report: NBA players who travel separately to Orlando face additional costs, tests

This is how strict the NBA, they want to be fully 100% sure that no one would take the virus to the venue.

Dunno if his gameplay gonna fit with the warriors. Well, fair enough better than being drafted to Phoenix Suns LOL  Cheesy. One more thing, we aren't even sure yet if he can play with the intensity the league has but I believe he can. But whatever, what's certain here is that, if he did land on warriors he'll be having a great coach that's it  Wink.

Anyway, I am excited to see him play in NBA, I've been a follower of him for quite some time I just hope he won't end up like his brother, Pat's going to bully him haha Cheesy.

The NBA turned Disney ballrooms into multiple practice courts
Jeez. The ceiling don't look high enough.

Are they gonna practice at the same time? coz It looks like to be that way...

I'm worried if they are safe for this set-up since how can they assure if the other person inside the court is clean and not infected? they should make those venues away from each team so that they will not huddle together. I believe that this is not the final and they will implement the health and safety protocol so that their games will not get suspended again for unfortunate events if they act lame this time.

Dunno but it's kind of disturbing to me Huh.

About their time, am pretty sure their practice time gonna meet across each other. But everyone going to practice at the exact same time? I don't think so. Maybe there will be gaps, and so on, but yeah, who knows?

Yeah, compared to the standard gym ceiling height, but I guess that would be fine, they wont be throwing any hail mary passes anyway. But, honestly this venue looks awkward and boring lol. I hope they'll really just use this only for practice, not with the actual games.

The NBA’s temporary Disney World bubble home is complete, and the layout of the practice courts the league will use is kinda wild.

The court is cute.  Grin

If they will practice at the same time, who have thought of this protocol? The officer will be blamed if ever there's going to be another covid19 case for those players that will practice on this court at the same time.
