Kanter on the other hand, I don't know if he is a good addition to the Celtics. For me he is just a mid level center. But we will see, most of the time if a player move to a new team, they usually show their best.
That guy probably spends more time practicing his interview and tweet skills than actually practicing on the court. Let's see how this Celtics experiment goes. I still like their like their line up with or without Kanter.

Enes Kanter is young though, he is not a guy you can trust that much because he is known to have troubles with teams he has been with except OKC but in the end dude is still pretty young compared to Chandler.

If Celtics manages to make him a decent center and gives him minutes and he actually ends up deserving it, they may found their center for the next couple of years, if they fail they can send him away in one year. Whereas when you have Tyson Chandler you are definitely getting a 10 minute 1 year rental, dude will probably be retired next year and even if not will retire year after that. So, it makes no sense to get a 25+ minute young guy with a possibility of few seasons versus a 10 minute veteran for one year. Chandler is probably there to teach Capela some stuff and be his mentor, nothing else.

Yes, he is there to give Capela some tips. Capela is a good center, he just need to honed some of skills and he can really developed, and I'm sure Chandler will be glad to him and mentor him.

Just learned today that another big man was added in Houston Rockets pool, the veteran Tyson Chandler.

We all know that he's not the Tyson Chandler we all know today. After his dominant performance in his championship season up to New York Knicks days, Chandler noticeably becomes slower the following seasons. Maybe because of his injury during the last season in New York Knicks. But still, a good addition to Rockets towers as we all know there's really no Center at this team (Capela is a PF but D'Antoni put him as Center since this guy can handle that position well. The reason why Capela became used to play as a big man and became dominant as well at that field. Thanks to Mike).

It will be great to have another veteran around.
He is a Finals player. Maybe he could put some insights with Harden and Capela or the rest of the team on how to do it right.
Houston had been in the semis, Finals and almost a champion but yet still lacking something else.
I hope it will Chandler who could give that wise thinking on how to do it or to set the path for them.

Watched the highlights of the summer league and damn, this new players are really good. High flyers and shooters are there.

Chandler is a reliable defender under the rim and no doubt his addition to the Houston will boost Harden's shooting. And with a reliable rebounder, I'm sure the rockets will fire a barrage of three which is their usual playstyle.

How the hell these projections show denver at the second seed? I mean Denver was alright last season but they literally barely beat an injury ridden spurs in 7 games (even though they were playing as second seed vs seven seed) and then lost to Portland.

I mean I get it they are good and they finished second seed last year but last year teams were not really caring about that much because they knew for a fact that warriors (with addition of boogie as well) would just sprint to championship easily, nobody really assumed warriors would get so many injuries. This season with that many teams contenting for title, its impossible for such a young team to get to second seed. Mine would be ;

 1- Clippers
 2- Lakers
 3- Rockets
 4- Warriors
 5- Denver
 6- Blazers
 7- Spurs
 8- Jazz

They are a young team and they have continuity. You cannot take that away from them. Regular season is different from playoffs. Since they are younger and healthy, they can play all 82 games so they are a top contender for the top seed.  If they fall from playoffs last season, it's because they have less experience in the PLAYOFFS. They will be better this year.

It is possible in my opinion.
They have a lot of rising talents in the team that showed great improvement last season. In the playoffs they seemed a solid team able to win the title.
I think that we are about to see the continuation of the last season for Denver.

Talking about Denver, of course their players are not that hyped like the other team's duo but they sure are a threat as a team and not as duo. Denver has young core which makes the difference when it comes to play styles.
They are still underrated at the moment. To be honest, I like how that young Denver team played last season especially Jokic who is playing like a seasoned veteran already in terms of B-ball IQ.

Maybe a good back up who can play 10 minutes per game and a good voice in the locker room.

I would have preferred him over Enes Kanter on the Celtics.

HOWEVER, that doesn't mean that plenty of stuff changed in the past off season, yeah Denver is a good young team but right now there are plenty of teams with super duos, clippers/Lakers/rockets/blazers and warriors still have curry, so there is a big chance teams will play all around better because talent is more evenly distributed, that is why I think there is no chance Denver finishes second seed, maybe last year or year before that it was possible but there is parity in the league now.
If you see the roster of Denver, there roster are not that as good as other teams like Raptors or Warriors but to be honest I'm surprised that they ended second last season. Now with the duos that are evenly spread with all the teams, I agree with you that they will not be on the 2nd seed anymore next season but they will still be a playoff contender team.

For real? come on, you got me and searched for the sources quickly and here what I've found out.

He can contribute base on his experiences and on how to deal with such situations but I'm not expecting that he can contribute that much physically inside the court.

He is already past his prime and I'm sure he will just be used sparingly just like what we see LA did to him last season. Just there for physical presence intimidate and even block some shots. Probably 10 -13 minutes max just to relieved Capela. Or maybe he can be the mentor to the him as well.

The fact that he still have some contract, he can help with the team for sure, Lakers and Rockets are different, who knows he can be of big use in the Rockets, this guy has the experience and once a star player in his prime.

~snip~
What could be the reason behind their predictions? Seems to me that they have a lot of trust of the two main guns of the Rockets even though they have not been tested lately if they could jell very well. They are individually a good player but in tandem, that remain to be seen.
They should be wrong, the Warriors are well disrespected here, they've been in many championships so I don't think they will easily just give up their pride even without Durant. I'm also surprise with the prediction of in the top 1, both predicted the Rockets to be in the top spot, I think it's not likely to happen, I still think Lakers or Clippers are also a better team.

They don't have Kevin Durant anymore and a lot of Western team have uplift their roster and then we have the Klay Thompson injury as well and no Iggy. So from their core team, it's only Curry and Green who's going to play. So I don't think that there is disrespect here, it's that the landscape has change a lot for next season.

Competition is at a high level in their conference so it will be very difficult for them to even land in the top four. And what's more interesting is the prediction that James Harden and Russell Westbrook playing good basketball enough for them to be on the number one spot.

That's right, competition next season is on a different level especially for the west where most teams have acquired top caliber players. GSW is not disrespected though, but it's just the favor is not on their side due to their line-up us depleted.

Why the concern for Denver Nuggets shouldn't be on 2nd seed next season? Why giving a big deal on it? Hmm..

Everyone keeps saying playoffs are different from regular season and I totally agree because in regular season players do not give 100% of their game and just try to make it to playoffs which is enough, sometimes there is radical stuff happen like 73-9 warriors season but normally everyone just plays with like 50% power.

You just could not get over it right?  Grin

Do not take it seriously. There are chances they might get the second spot. "CHANCES" It is not said to be an accurate prediction.
Denver is still a strong team. As you said, other teams dont give their best in regular season and Denver might use that to get a safe spot for the playoffs and that is number 2 or number 1.

Yeah super duos, and if 1 of the two gets injured?
Denver's roster is not like that. They are the team. They lose Murray, they can still win. They lose Jokic, they can still win.
You will have to consider everything. They might go number 8 or even number 1. It doesnt matter as long as they can go to the playoffs.

They maybe one or two spots higher I have no problem with Nuggets on the second seed. SA was always a tough to beat team and they won with their young team. They lost to Portland but in another seven-game series. You may not like them but their experience last season will surely elevate them again next season.
Denver played really well for their seven-game series against to Portland and I like how Nikola Jokic played against to portland for the whole 7games, he surely gives his best on that but maybe it’s not the right time for him.

It surely does, good experience on playoffs. SA has really have the play composition since they manage to be champion in the of 2014, ther movement was really good.

As a regular NBA analyst, it's common for them to make predictions. He is also a co-host in a sports TV show.
It's part of his job and knowing that he's into the professional scene before, he can predict and say what's on his mind.

Well being a former NBA player his analyst is something that we need to look at. Remember even though those guys are not playing anymore, they still have contacts and insider information. Just like us here, we have our own predictions however, it doesn't have any weight as compare to those NBA analyst because they really know what's going on inside and outside of the basketball court. So I will respect what Rose has put up in his list, just sayin'.

Yeah!! Straight forward. That is true.

They tell it during their analysis. Something like "according to my source". This guys go way deep specially when they are veteran analysts like Stephen A and also NBA players. They know the guys whom they should talk to acquire the right information and not just base on guess.

Some of the information about the trades that happened now actually came from them, we should always consider them with a larger percentage of being accurate.
But it is basketball, when it comes to prediction about number 1 to 8 seeds, they could change.
Consider also injuries and other stuff that may happen.
