The PBA All-Star game is currently ongoing and can be watched through Facebook streaming. In my opinion, this game is better than the NBA All-Star game because the players compete hard to win, making it more exciting to watch. Unfortunately, the official website does not provide a box score, so I cannot tell who the leading scorer is since I just checked in now.

Alas is doing pretty well now, I guess he is the top scorer.  Smiley

Yeah, the PBA all-star is more enjoyable than the last NBA all-star we seen pride to win in between the two competing teams and not just a shooting or offensive attacks but that tight defense really brings more entertainment to all the viewers, That rally from team Scottie almost snatch the game against team Japeth, it was the collective efforts of each players inside the court that keep team Japet to win the game.

Paul Lee was the All-Star MVP, what a nice season for him, after winning the all-star 3 point shootout then the MVP, great break for him, hopefully going back to the regular season they will able to catch up and makes to the next round.

Congrats to all who manage to put some bets for the winning team!

Speaking of injury, i have read reports/rumors that Ian Sangalang might retire from the PBA due to health issues. Anyone knows here what's the real situation of Sangalang as i have not seen him playing for some time now.

I thought he would only miss the conference while still in the recovery period for his undisclosed injury or health issue

According to this article.  https://sports.inquirer.net/499148/ian-sangalang-ruled-out-of-pba-governors-cup-to-focus-on-recovery-from-illness
Quote
A recent photo on social media showed Sangalang appearing to have lost some weight, which Victolero explained earlier in the conference was due to the effects of a typhoid fever sustained last November.

That gives us an idea of what his health problem may be, but I don't want to speculate further. I just hope that he will recover, and the rumors about him retiring are not true.

Well, the All-Star game just concluded minutes ago and Team Japeth won by just 4 points with a score or 140-136. I didn't watch the whole game, but looking the players defending their opponents is a sign that this All-Star is probably better than that of the NBA All-Star where they are just letting their opponents shot. Congrats Team Japeth.

Paul Lee had a great All-Star appearance! After winning the 3-point shooting contest, he also won the All-Star MVP award, scoring 32 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. Paul Lee is like fine wine - as he ages, he gets better - so I'm hoping that this trend will continue in the current PBA conference.

Also hoping here that this trend will continue but knowing Paul Lee is soo fragile and will get injured every now and then. If only Paul Lee idon't get injured frequently then i think Magnolia would be fighting for the championships often but it's just sad that every time Magnolia qualifies for the playoffs, Paul Lee suddenly disappears.

Team Japeth won the All-Star Game and received a cash prize of Php150,000, while the MVP, Paul Lee, received Php30,000. Paul Lee had a great performance, showcasing his accurate 3-point shooting during the match. One difference between this game and the normal PBA league games is that they have a 4-point shot.

This may have been the reason why Team Scottie lost, as they were trying to hit the 4-point shot instead of focusing on a comeback, despite having plenty of time left in the game.

It was also a nice initiative by the organizers to make the game more entertaining to watch. I'm sure they did not want to be criticized like what had happened to the NBA All-Star Game.

All of the comments in social media regarding the dunks of the participants are always negative. I mean I didn't watch the contest, and TBH, I will not watch any of the games. I would like to hear your comments because the comments that I'm seeing online is negative.

That's what they get from copying almost the entire NBA All-Star format. People will expect more the same as what they are seeing in NBA disregarding the fact that it does not make sense to expect the same intensity in the PBA and we can't expect most PBA players to have such spectacular dunking abilities even though there are lots of high flyer players in the league.

Every PBA All-Star event is always associated with bad reviews and should be just a normal day in PBA.

Maybe just be used to it bro and have fun reading debates and arguments in the comment section. Cheesy
Well, I guess that's how it is. I will take what you said that I will be just be used to it. Thanks.

TBH, when I saw that comments, aside from the fact that I don't watch the whole contest, I didn't spend too much time reading those toxic comments and arguments of them. It will be only a waste of time reading them.

Does it really that bad? I mean the dunks are that bad that's why people are saying things like that?
It was actually a fun to watch, especially with the funny dunk of Chris Lalata.  Cheesy
Maybe the viewers are expecting that much from the slum dunk contest with the all star but left disappointed with just the basic dunks for them but I'm sure those players spend a lot of time to practice those dunks, overall it was great its just that you can't really expect much from them because they are not an NBA player.

Ginebra San Miguel and magnolia is a sister company so we can not deny the fact that they will choose if what teams they gonna advance to finals and we all know how the crowd move when they saw ginebra San Miguel in the finals because they are the favorite team even if they are not in finals but still we can see how many supporters will watch their game it means that the crowd like ginebra from past to generation.

They are, so I'm hoping they will not meet in the Finals to avoid controversies over the outcome of the game. I'd rather see TNT vs Ginebra as TNT has been playing very well lately. TNT is a good 3-point shooting team, so it could result in an offensive game, which is what the fans like to see. Well, I'm talking about Ginebra fans, so I don't know. hehe

By the way, I checked the odds for tomorrow's all-star game, but I couldn't find any available odds, so maybe we can place our bets here instead.

It looks like Paul Lee's 3-point shooting has improved a lot,

There is no improvement but rather that really his usual. He was just able to keep the consistency even now entering his veteran period and post-prime.

Won't be called a "Leethal (lethal) Weapon" for nothing. Smiley

However, referring to his performance this past conference seems the Lethal Weapon is now getting rusty during the crucial game of the post-elimination games. But still, when needed, they can rely on him as always.

They can rely on him in clutch moments. Slowly, Magnolia has become a good 3-point shooting team, plus they have an aggressive defense, so they have improved this season. I have a feeling that Magnolia has a shot at winning this conference. Why? Because they chose a good import who knows how to share the ball and play good defense.

There's certainly a good chance that they'll win, but we can't discount Ginebra San Miguel as they are still the favorites to win. Without them in the Finals, PBA won't make as much money, so if they do make it to the Finals, it's likely they'll face off against the Gin Kings in a series that could be tied, leading to a game 7 and more revenue generated in the Philippine Arena.

What's the update now? Is the PBA All-Star still continuing? When is the All-Star Game? I searched on YouTube for a streaming link, but I couldn't find any related videos. I'm guessing the All-Star Game is tomorrow. Could you please confirm this?

I had a quick search man and I see this.

This means they are resting now, and the final game will be tomorrow on Sunday, so everyone can watch it together with their family.

So you guys again have a local betting? I mean if there's no available betting odds, might as well take it here.

Congratulations to Paul Lee for winning the 3-point shootout. He didn't even take off his T-shirt while shooting, yet he still won the game. It looks like Paul Lee's 3-point shooting has improved a lot, and the good thing about him is that he is a clutch player, so he is not pressured in tough situations.

His total score was 27 points, Lassiter had 21, and Tiongson had 18, if I'm not mistaken.

Congratulations For Paul lee and he is an old veteran than can still proved to us what he got. Without a doubt Paul lee is one of the best three point shooters in PBA even in the last seconds of the game he can do an impossible or good shot from the outside. Which means he is a clutch player. Even in his old age he can do such things. And for his opponent which lassiter played well but there's only one who can win and that's paul Lee.

I can agree to that, still have that touch to make a basket. Not new to Paul Lee as he's really a good shooter even when
he was still in his prime. I remember those clutch winning shots that give the team a win, maybe he's already old and injury prone star
but when he's playing healthy, he can still bring decent stat for the team.

Congrats to him for winning the all-star 3-point shootout!

Speaking of betting odds, I don't think any sportsbook would list this on their betting sites because it's just an exhibition game. It's not as popular as the NBA All-Star game, so it may not attract a lot of attention. Also, since it's an exhibition game, bettors might be able to take advantage if they know which team will win.

Not sure about this but maybe we can assume that there's no betting for the actual All-Star game match between Team Scottie and Team Japeth but maybe some bookies will have player props betting instead. Did anyone here have a chance to take a look if those recently finished All-Star game events were being listed by some crypto-bookies?

I will check the fiat online bookies I always bet with to see if there will be any All-Star game-related bets that will be listed there. Probably, the event should be listed by Saturday night, a night before the All-Star game between the mentioned teams.

There's no question that he is a clutch player. I will never forget when he made a winning free throw that broke the hearts of the Chinese. It was a 3-point shot that was fouled, and he made all 3 free throws to seal the win. Being under pressure is not new to him; it's his game, and that's what he loves. So, it's a well-deserved win for him.

Meanwhile, we have another big news. The winner of the Slam Dunk competition is David Murrell.
