I don't think it is necessary to remove all sites still using V2. I know that some mixers wait until the last moment to switch but the regular users of Tor know very well that V2 will be discontinued, they are daily users. And anyway, after the 15th they won't be able to access it anymore.

And above all, why take them out and then put them back in within 2 weeks?

(I'm going to update wasabi's link)

Need to update or correct wasabi onion link: http://wasabiukrxmkdgve5kynjztuovbg43uxcbcxn6y2okcrsg7gb6jdmbad.onion/

Also any mixers with v2 onion addresses should be removed until they have v3 addresses. They will all do this soon as v2 addresses will no longer be supported very soon.

Should I add it back to the list?

Last month I removed MyCryptoMixer.com since the website was gone.
I didn't post about it but the website is up again for several days. I was supposed to add it to the list however I remembered one thing.

Just after the mixer disappeared, a member posted to explain he didn't receive any money.
Since then, no news from the person to tell us if the situation has been resolved (or not). It was a new account, so probably the person didn't want to bother logging back into the forum to keep us up to date.

The owner himself is inactive for ~2 months and didn't post anything, like for the previous downtime

Your opinion?

Whalemixer has been down due to covid infection

It wasn't down, I was there several times last week (or the week before) and the warrant canary was updated according to the date. Knowing there is more than 1 person behind whalemixer, it is unlikely that you all catch the covid at the same time. There has certainly been someone available

Maybe it's the way you market it that's wrong and how you introduce it to others.

Nice try. You clearly can't explain this. Sometimes something that looks like a scam is just that: a scam.

Merged the websites' list with post #2. Thanks. I will take a look at Nickflynn this weekend.

I'm unable to open Mycryptomixer.com because the SSL handshake failed. And I believe it's a server-side problem and not from my end.
Because:
- My browser & OS configuration haven't changed
- Date & time are correct
- I doubt the connection is being intercepted by a third party.
- I tried with another OS

I'm unable to open the TOR version either but it can come from me. Anyone else?.

The mixer was under DDOS recently. Don't know if it's the case again but if the problem is still here tomorrow, I will make a change to the list

Edit: Adding  the disclaimer below to the original post

Although the list is updated as frequently as possible (as soon as a change is needed) it's important for people to do their own research to make up their own opinion. Follow the announcement topics (links are posted), see what's going on, check the recent feedbacks from others, etc...

It can be very easy to be fooled. There are a lot of scams, much more than legitimate tumblers, (unfortunately).
Some don't bother to create a website with a different TLD (.net instead of .com) and replicate the design of a well-known mixer in order to mislead people.
Others go further using the IDN homograph attack.
To make it simple they use very similar characters. For example, using "l" lowercase L, and "I" uppercase "i". Or "ẹ" instead of "e".

examples below:

Code:
aladinwebsite .net
aiadinwebsite .net
bitcointumblerslist. com
bitcointumblẹrslist .com
In the second post, I list mixers you should avoid (either because there is an unresolved accusation against them or something not quite right) or mixers who have closed their service. In other words: don't bother to visit them.

Happy mixing!

personnal note: A few mixers are under DDOS, so I'm unable to access their website. There is one I'm not sure it's a DDOS attack. It looks like to me there is no website uploaded on the server (the end?).

Removing mixertumbler.com from the list. The website has been removed from the server and since my note, nothing has changed.
I consider this mixer now closed. If it comes back I will update again, but from my experience, the chance is near to zero.

Blender.io, and the mirror Blender. to are one of the mixers under DDOS. The websites display now a message telling people to use the Blender onion mirror

Whalemixer is under scam accusation criticism. Is there any other  mixers that take BCH?
For Bcash you can use their own wallet ElectrumCash and enable CashFusion option in settings, that is something similar like we have CoinJoin for Bitcoin, but fees are much lower in this case.
I would be very careful using some unknown mixers, they are most likely scammers or operated by government agencies.

Is there a thread regarding whalemixer case?
There are two Scam Accusation topics about whalemixer by SinisterB and Tamagotchikiller:

Is there a thread regarding whalemixer case?

this is one: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/whale-mixer-scam-5350930
but their main ann thread also contains their lies and some scam accusations: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-whalemixercom-mixer-that-dispense-freshly-mined-coins-5314083

Bottom line, however, no matter how you read these threads: whalemixer's operator hasn't been seen in 10 days, he hasn't replied anyone, he hasn't addressed any scam accusions whilst his "canary" on his site is still updated every day. This could mean his canary is fake (like many other things on his site), but even that doesn't resonate all that well to me either.

Even when he was online, i did not trust the quality of his mixes. He sells "freshly mined" coins, and delivers exactly the opposite: i had unspent outputs in my wallet that contained a much higher percentage of coinbase rewards within a reasonable distance just by accident compared to the ones he is supposed to be selling on purpose.

What about making your own due diligence too? I mean, this topic is not a "bulletproof" topic and people have to also search by themselves. Whatever I write, people still need to verify. We are adults and talking about money, it seems to be something quite natural to do. (Apparently not).
I put the links to the respective announcements threads for people to see what's going on
If you searched about this mixer, you could have found about the first issue (maybe before me) and decide to not use it

I think I will now listen to you and follow this approach.

Thanks for telling me. I remember I used textmechanic to sort the list in alphabetical order and probably played too much with the "find and replace" feature.
I fixed everything

I did read the case, if it's the same

Usually, I wait some days before removing a service:
The reason is it deserves to give time to mixers since we all have a life outside, it may take time to check what happened and the users complaining may come back several days after to tell us it's ok or never come back.
Just trying to be fair between mixers.

I practice this way, especially when I feel it's an isolated case. Of course, if there are a dozen people complaining in the same period of time, there is no question to wonder.

I also know that some people try to make others believe that X or Y mixer is a scam when it is not true. It even happened that I tested the blenders myself to verify the claims or the (baseless) "rumors"
--snip--

Ordinarily, i'd agree with you when you say you want to be fair to a mixer and give them a chance... However, in this case, i'd personally advocate to remove the mixer from the list during the "grace"-period. If the owner comes back and resolves the accusations, you can re-list them, if he doesn't you can add them to your scam list. That way it can't make new victims from readers of your topic.

I do believe this is a case that warrants such an approach:
  • It's a really new mixer... you won't destroy their reputation by not listing them for a couple of days
  • There are 2 "in progress" scam reports, and also resolved reports... Way to much for the short time they've been in business
  • They've been provably caught lying about many, many key features they try to sell

I've been following this case from the beginning, and i'd even go as far as saying "they're not a real mixer". This is just a one-man mom's basement service that had a nice layout built (filled with lies) and just processes mixes manually while lying about the origin of their "clean" funds.

I know this is your show, and i'll defenatly agree with whatever decission you make on the case... I'd just argue that in this case, the site didn't even belong on your list in the first place (with all the lies, with the manual processing, without proof of funds,...) , and now they've stopped withdrawing i think it would be better to safe than sorry and (at least temporary) stop listing them.

Updated post #1 and adding coino-mize.com to the scam list

In your opinion is fair, in mine is not! If you added a red flag or anything to it after first unresolved accusations I would had made some research before sending 1BTC or I would had just used another mixer. But as I saw it in trusted list I assumed it is safe to use them!
You tried to be fair with the mixer, I think you should try to do what is more fair for the customers as they are the ones who can get scammed and lose funds but there is NO WAY for the mixers to get scammed!

But again.. that is my opinion, I am sure mixers have different ones!

It is strange that they did not moved the coin since I sent it to them..

This is why:
I had no idea about the issues, I thought is it safe to use them since I found the website on this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/2023-list-bitcoin-mixers-bitcoin-tumblers-websites-2827109

"WhaleMixer" is collecting negative feedback, including mine, and is a proven liar.

+1
This one does not belong on a list between other mixers... They have lied about quite a lot, they've been proven wrong and they don't keep their promises.

--snip--

Too bad for us that they are not a good mixer, as it is a good idea that someone could mix their coins with a reliable mixer and get "clean" coins (traceable back to exchanges, etc.) back.  Because many US exchanges and merchants do not like "dirty" coins (tainted by drug markets, thefts, ransomware, etc.) , there would likely be a real demand for such clean ones.

Someone will probably come along in due course and offer a straightforward and honest service.  And probably make lots of money...
Indeed, but if you want coinbase rewards in exchange for your traceable coin, this is NOT the place... Tryninja shared his mixing session, and i could not find even a reasonable amount of the "clean" coins coming from a coinbase reward. They're just lying about "farm fresh" coins coming from "their" miners... In reality you get "unknown" funds... I don't know where they come from, but defenately NOT from a miner. Seeing what they lied about, and the amateurism, i would not trust a mixing session with this mixer... I'd probably advise anybody who used them to re-mix their coins, and treat this mixer's mixing session's outputs as "slightly"-mixed.

Here's a post i made listing their lies:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57452097
Since making this post, other lies have come to surface:
  • They had to admit they're not automated at all
  • They admitted not holding the amount of funds they say they hold... It's their "partners" that hold thousands of BTC, not them
