of the many countries that participated, I was more supportive of Egypt because what I know of Egypt has a star player currently playing in a club in Europe, Mohammed Salah.  and also I know from the last 10 games egypt swallowed 1 loss, 1 draw and 8 wins.
Yap! Salah should be the key for their national team as he is one of the heart of Liverpool FC. I just hope that he does not get any injury from this international break. I really hate this international breaks.

I think it will be a great tournament as always and probably will see many good games. For me the top contenders if I were to choose 4 would be,Egypt,Tunisia,Cameroon and Ivory Coast although there are a lot of other strong teams participating here. This is also another major tournament where if we play with caution and study a bit our bets we may make some extra money here too.

The match of the round for me is Ghana - South Africa. Definitely not as polarizing as when the South Africans take on Nigeria, but there's still plenty of talent on display and a lot at stake, both teams would be expected to lead the group, the question is, who tops?

When was the last time the South Africa men's football team qualified for the AFCON? Hopefully they can make it out of the groupstage this time around although I don't think they'll defeat ghana. The most recent games (including international friendly) has either ended in a draw or Ghana winning by 1/2 goals margin so i guess the case this time won't be any different although the South Africa team are quite competitive abd are quite capably of winning.

Concerning the match, I still back Ghana to wins with a one goal scoreline difference considering they'll also be having the home ground to their advantage. Ghana is currently ranked 51 via FIFA Global ranking while South Africa is ranked 72.

I expect Nigeria to win their match and possibly give playing time to some of the locally based players in the squad.

Nigeria opponents aren't that strong so definitely they should be able to make it out of the qualifications process. Nigeria will be playing Benin tomorrow as other match will be played (view OP) what's your predictions? I predicte a 3:1 goal scoreline in favor of Nigeria considering it's a home advantage match.

I think Nigeria will get resistance, Nigeria won't win easily, and if speaking of scores, I predict they will win by no more than one goal difference.

In earlier competitions Cameroon would have gotten an automatic ticket to the competition by virtue of being hosts, but they have to also partake in the qualifying phase now. Well, I expect they would qualify easily from their group,

I was also suprise when i notice that too, tried googling but couldn't find any answer, could it been because they weren't the original nation to host the tournament? Earlier Ivory coast were supposed to host but it was later announced that Cameroon would take over as the hosting nation. This to me could be the only logical explanation why a host nation is also contesting but also on Wikipedia it already list Cameron as qualifiers due to they're the host nation.
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations host, Cameroon, will participate in the qualifiers with the team guaranteed a spot in the finals regardless of its ranking in the group. Their matches and results will count in determining the qualification of the other teams from their group.

No need to worry about Cameroon, I am sure they will lead all the countries as the winner in their group. I don't underestimate other countries but we can see Cameroon has good players from some famous clubs in the world. I think this can increase motivation to win besides automatically contributes quality supports.

I would also expect Nigeria to qualify from their group. They have lots of talented players who are performing brilliantly in various continents

African countries are not going to find it easy to qualify from the group stage. Alot of them will result to prayers instead of practising harder to beat their opponents on the pitch. Am sure Nigeria would have been in Group C if that we qualified. There is something with Nigeria and Argentina to be in the same group at world stage in football. For the group, Morocco, Tunisia and Ghana all seem like they will not make it to the knockout stage. They are in the group of death.
