Nope, maybe you talking about pre-mined Ico tokens, some of them really look like a big scam but mineable cryptocurrencies such as Etherium, litecoin,Monero,Dash,Dogecoin and others are not scam.

Those altcoins are really circulating in the world digital market, those tokens which are not develop and to be develop might be the tokens that might be scam ,  the altcoins in that are already in the digital market are not scams  they are coins that can be trusted and be invested by the customers and investors.

ETH, BCH and XRP are all considered as altcoins and yet they seem to be legit ones.

I think the majority of the people who made their responses here do not agree with it. I am one of them. I do not think it is fair to say that 99.5 percent of all altcoins are scam. I also do not want to follow your succeeding advice either, to sell all my altcoins. That is obviously not a right decision. If you think that is the better way to go then go ahead do it but if you want to make money, avoid doing such a silly thing.

Don't say that, think about it. At that time, the ether was also a kind of acoin currency, and Ruibo was also. But after their efforts, they eventually became very good projects. They also succeeded in using them in more places, so they cannot be generalized.

You just consumed the issue, do not be easily affected by a variety of issues that are not yet clear the truth.  Indeed there are currently some more ico in the direction of fraud, but not all coins let alone altcoin is a scam, the proof is still a lot of people who invest in altcoin.

I do not agree with you, because not all coins are false. You can not say that all new projects are false. Users should check projects, look at the work of developers

Unfortunately the crypto space has become riddled with scams and cons. Its difficult to tell sometimes which projects are true, from those that are only designed as money grabbers.

Thats why we all need to play a role in protecting this volatile space.

In order to differentiate the scam and con ICOs from those that are true, you need to look at the following;

The team - Is the project created by firstly real individuals? Look into their social media accounts. Are they really who they say they are? Is there any content out there on these individuals?
3rd party/independent escrow provider - Does the project have an escrow provider? But, more importantly is it a 3rd party or independent escrow provider? Many ICOs claim to have an escrow provider or that their smart contracts act as an escrow provider. But, what measures are in place to ensure that the funds raised are not controlled by the project team? - This will ensure that the projects team delivers on what they have promised.
Is the website secure? - There are many phishing sites out there. Is the site you’re on secure? Always look for the green padlock; found in the address bar.
Following - Does the project have a significant following? Check all forms of social media. A good indication that an ICO is a scam or a fake, is by the following its social media channels have. Scams are designed to simply take money. They are not interested in creating a real following or pushing out real content. Be wary however as followers for many social media channels can be bought.
Community response - Is the team active and responsive to their communities questions? Do they provide real and clear answers? Do they even respond to the questions their community is asking?
KYC/AML - Does the project implement or conduct any form of KYC (Know Your Customer) or AML (Anti Money Laundering) processes? These processes are designed to filter out individuals that only intend to invest into an ICO for money laundering or negative purposes. Criminals that have no real care for the future of the project.

Not necessarily. You need to research and learn about the alt coin project before enrolling in their bounty programme or if you are simply thinking of investing in it. There are some fake coins in the market that is true but not all. Many new companies are coming up with their ICOs, having their unique project. These companies offer good promotional distribution coins as they are funded heavily by the angel investors. Rest, all is your opinion. I would jut recommend you to study the project/altcoin before investing in it.

Given the current situation, many people would say all altcoins are liars. But there is no need to elaborate on this point, because such statements occur in all crises.

We encounter so many project that all wants to gain money by following an easy way. Unfortunately, the system can not block these Scam tokens. For these reasons, we are thinking maybe 5 times while we're investing or trading. But, that doesn't mean that, all altcoins are Scams.

This sounds to categorical though you have some point there. There are cases when altcoins were produced but they are not needed for the project to go on. Or at some cases there is no real project at all. Isn’t it why some of them we take just for quick flip and some of them we want to keep for long?! Also don’t forget that new ICOs are coming to the market every day, but it is not possible to have endless amount of coins. There should be some limit right? This is why you need to research really careful about the project and decide if this altcoin is going to serve something or its just a way to raise quick money

Well this is what the insightful Tone Vays claims...

He claims that ETH, DASH, shit 99.5% of all the ALTS are scams and the only coin that will survive is Bitcoin.

So l guess we should all sell our Alts now!

There is short truth behind what you're trying to say, OP. Like many coins in their growth stage is booming but it reaches the declining stage so fast that it doesn't stay in the market for too long to sustain. It is gaining but it is not sustaining.

I am not agreed with that statement, they are not scam. The market cap and activity are so high to consider it as scam, even they don't have a legal company or something like that.

Can you include your proof or analytical technique that states as you describe? We need proof, we need to know. Indeed there are coins that are the scam but not all altcoins are the scam. Many coins can survive in crypto even though they get rivals from new coins. That's because many communities are investing their money into the coins, so the coins can survive and thrive. If it is a scam coin, I think he will immediately leave the crypto after they get the supply from the investors.

Not all but some altcoins are scam. When scammers see that lot of people are investing in altcoins , they will try to steal your money. So , they do some scams to befool us. But it doesn't mean that all altcoins are scams.
