Hi all,
I am in the same boat like you Sad
I was robbed with £1385, by the way I have bad feeling about AT from the beginning, because initially I ordered the bigger viper 250Mh, but a few days later reading different forums I hesitated to pay for this miner, therefore I did second order for two vipers 20Mh and continue to read forums and again I was discourage to pay this money, so finally I did third order for one viper 50Mh and unfortunately I paid this order Sad and now I lost £1385 therefore I want to punish this bastard and send him at least to jail (if he cannot return our money) for fraud in large amount of money. I am reading from few weeks this topic and I have not seen yet or maybe I missed to have some group lawsuit against AT. From my point of view it is not worthy to go alone for £1385, but if we gather 200-300 robbed customers and go together we will split all lawyer fees and we have bigger chance to win. Unfortunately there is a small chance to receive our money back but I am ready to pay $50-100 for lawyer fees in group lawsuit if we have chance this bastard to be sent in jail at least for 15-20 years ..
I do not have any knowledge about UK group lawsuit but I eagerly will take part of it, if I receive any information about starting such lawsuit process. I suppose there are many customers from UK, who are robbed from AT and they can take more action in organizing it, at least they can speak fluent English and can meet locally the lawyers, because it will be hard to me to speak (face to face) with UK lawyers. (My verbal English is not good and I am not living in UK)
Any ideas about this?
Is there something done in this direction or all customers are going alone against AT?

Hi
I'm too in this same situation.
I join with a great desire to a group of people who are putting these bastards in jail, because alone I have little chance in the fight.
If there is any group of people who are fighting with AT, please contact with me.

I always knew it would come to this...

From the first time Alpha announced these pre-orders  I had a good feeling this was a scam. I warned people on various forums on how I thought it would go down and it turns out I was right.

I'm not coming here to rub it in anybody's face, it's just quite a mind trip to check in after 7 or 8 months and see that I was right in my assumption XD.

Now, I am guilty of falling for a scam myself. I was scammed by jasinlee of Fibonacci...Although I only lost about $300.

I truly am sorry for those of you that lost money in this ordeal. It's really a shame that we have so many dishonest people out there...

I hope you find justice!

Already contacted CoinDesk about it a few days ago.

I don't care if they're accountants and have moved money, the law is the law and they've broken it. I will seek restitution.

They're accounts for god's sake, they make their living legally hiding money and moving it around.  If you think there is any money left in a legally touchable corporate account you're simply being delusional.

Suggesting that victims do nothing, because these guys have accountants in the family and may have moved their money around, tells me you probably haven't lost any money to this venture.

yep.  doing nothing gives zero chance.

maybe odds are slim at this point even with action, although I don't know that's true either.  we can't without knowing a lot more than is ascertainable from the available information at this point.

but by doing something there's certainly a better chance at some recompense than if people do nothing at all.  100%, zero doubt about that.

It would be great if someone found mumbashera, and applied violence governmental action to it, a broken arm or leg, you can knock out teeth, and keep it until he returned the money. I think this is the only solution to find him and give pussy. All courts and other is full of shit.

Yeah the issue is that their family is involved in numerous businesses, all of them financial in some way. They also have numerous trusts, and you know they're smart enough to sift funds off of the books if they were planning fraudulent activities. If it wasn't their plan and this merely ended up being a horrible idea on their part, their cashflow is nearly gone if not entirely.

They took a cash investment from a semi-well-known BCT investor to create the machines, because paypal froze their money and people weren't paying. I'd also imagine at least one bank account relating to the business was frozen, based on their loss of credit processing (it's hard for a business to lose that btw). The cash was likely used up, leaving only operating funds.

I'm curious to know if PayPal still has the funds frozen. If so, then many people should be able to get their money back if PayPal's fraud department could look into this situation. My fear would be PayPal released the funds to Alpha after being duped to do so, and has since realized that there really is fraud, and they're not wanting to play nice with customers--which is why PP has been unusually uncooperative lately.

Still, more people need to contact PP using the fraud reference info which has been posted up before, and more people need to use other legal means within the UK.

Fact: Alpha has been 100% dark, with no communication for a month now, and this is after their disclosure of having chips and being days ahead of schedule, days away from shipping.

Also, bug CoinDesk. They interviewed AT back in July, show them the news updates and lack of communication. Get them to see the real picture. They may be able to interview AT again, or at least get the news out that they've tanked. This could be additional leverage that financial and legal institutions need, seeing a publication report negatively on them.

To be honest, if you have waited this long to take action, you ALREADY let them walk away "scot-free".

Time will tell. Personally, I suspect they have MORE than enough money to refund what I am owed. The profit margins on this hardware are very high, though they'd like you to believe otherwise. In fact, they could probably simply sell the chips direct to another hardware maker to enable full refunds to EVERYONE. But I don't think it's their intention to do the right thing, anymore.

Doubtful, but to be honest it makes no difference.  They could have all the money and you'll never see it.  They're accounts for god's sake, they make their living legally hiding money and moving it around.  If you think there is any money left in a legally touchable corporate account you're simply being delusional.  I doubt there was EVER anything beyond the bare minimum for operational expenses in any legally touchable corporate account.  In any case, most of their payments were made in bitcoin.  Can you track that money to an address that you can legally prove they own, without using technical jargon that is going to be over a judges head?

Just wanted to say I received a 100% refund on my deposit. I didn't pay full amount. But did get all deposit back.
Not bragging. I hope you all get refunds.
WHAT A FUCKING PROCESS NEVER AGAIN

Can you provide details? A post on http://fightalpha.net would be awesomely welcomed.

I say go after the Dad, he's still around from what I understand. He was involved when the crime was committed. Their little accounting business should be collateral damage. No way they should be allowed to be licensed accountants. Organize and make sure no one involved in this walks away without being accountable for their involvement in a massive SCHEME!

Who accredits accountants in the U.K.? I'm sure they would like to know about the massive fraud he was a part of.

Take the gloves off, go for anyone and everyone who was apart of this fraud.

Freejack, where are you based? I'm in Germany and would like to chase these bastards down for every penny I sent them. I have posted stuff in threads in which you were also active (javihache was my username) and they instantly banned as soon as I criticised them. Can I contact you in private?
Regards!

Sure. I'm in the U.S. but I'm looking at possibly lawyering up with a UK-based solicitor. From what I'm told, it doesn't make any difference whether I live outside the "jurisdiction" (which is what Alpha seems to be trying to tell people) or not...they still sold me a product that they materially changed and failed to deliver on in the agreed-upon timeframe. So they're at fault, and they need to refund the full purchase price. I'm not going to let them walk away with that much money scot-free.

Yep. You don't have to live in the jurisdiction. All that matters is that Alpha are in the jurisdiction. I wouldn't count on that for long though. It wouldn't surprise me if Mubasher is in Pakistan already. I really don't see him hanging around fighting lawsuits until he's bankrupt.
