So far infrastructure coins were the best investments. EOS, Icon and lately my personal favourite Zilliqa (which is the best one out there nowadays IMO). However, today you can find a project which promises 1M tsp in every corner... time to move on and focus on real projects, blokchain infrastructure is getting ready soon (wait for 2nd 3rd generation blockchain to release mainnet).
I think that XRP coin is not actually used for any technology it is creating for all those big-name banks it is being used as a useful coin more like a stock option for these companies but a good advantage is that it is incredibly quick and has cheap money transfers and impressive number of partnerships with big-name banks proves it survival.
Currently, altcoins are dying due to scam airdrops or if it is a legit coin holders are not holding the coin, they will immediately sell for a low price that's why it is not pumping. But for me, altcoins are worth buying as long as the coin have a good project to present to the investors it will definitely rise to the moon.
The current coin that I think should buy is ETH because I notice that after each sharp drop of the market ETH is the strongest coin growth. In addition, ETH is also a very good technical foundation and strong community support. ETH is also the most practical coin in the cryptocurrency market.Currently, altcoins are dying due to scam airdrops or if it is a legit coin holders are not holding the coin, they will immediately sell for a low price that's why it is not pumping. But for me, altcoins are worth buying as long as the coin have a good project to present to the investors it will definitely rise to the moon.

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
Why don't you try to do some research first before you decide to invest in the coins, so that you may not be one of the victim for buying a shitcoins or dead coin. due to there are still out there which I could be say a potential coins. Because, for what I did now I bought altcoins which I knew it is a potential one then I hold in long terms or depending in the flow of their program.

Unless they're scams, most coins have some intrinsic value, if nothing else due to their community network.
I personally like to get involved with projects which are building a community-driven platform and follow them from the beginning, as I find this most rewarding. At the moment my favourite is WONO, a decentralised P2P platform for freelancing services and physical goods. Wono's ecosystem is comprised of different actors: vendors, guarantors, arbitrators and customers. All of these elements working effectively together provide a healthy, balanced decentralised ecosystem which is self-driven and self-sustaining. The community really is put in the driving seat, which is an inherent feature of the blockchain providing a much more community-controlled solution as opposed to centralised systems.
I like to stick with my choices long term so I'd recommend finding projects that really interest you because of what they're building.

Yes, they do. BTC gives nothing new from product, when Alts gives you an opportunity to open new aspects of crypto, that could solve problems, which BTC can not.

Coins like TAU, POWR and ADA are very competitive, and their great performance cannot be labelled as “shit”. They are satisfying the users, therefore they can be bought and stored in the wallets till their upcoming projects are complete. No way. There are coins that are not shit, in fact their performance is so impressive that the users are buying them again and again. These coins are PRG, ICX and Lisk. I have used them so I have an idea how they are.Yes some altcoins are. But most are not recommend to invest in. Do research on your own to find good investments.

You have to do some research. and its logic when a coin have a really good dev team, and they are working constantly on the coin, you can say that the coin has a good change.
For the next month, you can now buy almost all altcoins that are in the top, because they are now on the runway and should fly in the near future, and if you want to squeeze as much benefit out of the situation as possible, invest in volatile coins, such as ripple, zcash and others, they can easily make times in 2-3 more profits relative to others.

This is ETH, DASH, NEO, LTC, and there are many more promising projects in which you can invest and not be afraid that they will die in the near future
they all have very good growth potential. It is worth investing in many coins from the top 100, not all of course, but many. Choose from the list you like and buy 10 different pieces, so as not to lose money in case a certain coin falls to the bottom, which happens quite rarely with coins from the top 100.
What is stability? This is when a coin for a year costs $ 150, then $ 1200 and now $ 500? Ethereum - this is a coin for crypto contracts, but not for investment.
Ethereum may not be suitable for long term investing specifically because it has no hard cap in supply (meaning that it's virtually infinite by design), but it certainly is useful as the fuel needed to execute smart contracts on the blockchain. Since many tokens and dApps are available on the Ethereum blockchain, I think that the "Ether" cryptocurrency will always experience demand over time due to its utility. And once Ethereum upgrades to PoS, then it's price could get past the $1,000 goal.
Therefore, I think that Ethereum is an altcoin which is worth buying today. There's a lot of potential for this cryptocurrency to grow into something huge in the future. And the more it grows in dApps and tokens, the better as it would become the most useful cryptocurrency in existence. In my eyes, I will always compare Ethereum to Bitcoin as it's active in development, strong, resilient, and popular in the cryptocurrency market.
Of course, I think the most reliable are BTC and ETH, but among other coins you can also find good prospective coins that are currently worthless but in the future may show a good profit.
Yes, now ETH and BTC are good coins for investment. Especially now, when the price is very low.
It is a fact that there is a dead coin but still lot of potential altcoins are still on the market so you must better do your own research first before investing your money on a particular coin because some coins are just created to scam people.
I do not think that this expression can be attributed to all the coins. Yes, indeed most coins are bad, but there are really good altcoins that are worth investing in, such as EOS, ADA, Ripple, OMG, Ethereum, NEO.
