I think long term investment is easier to do than daily trading. It seems that at the moment, many altcoins are at fairly low prices, so maybe you can choose some of them, and make a gradual purchase by seeing fluctuations in the next few weeks.

It seems for now, all famous altcoins are suitable for long-term investments.
At least for the end of the year, I'm very confident it will be better than the current period where quite often correction occurs.

Due to the high volatility in the crypto price it is difficult for any one to project any coin that has a long term potentials but there are few coins out there which have proven over the time to have some good potential and a futuristic with they project development, one among which is the buzzshow token which for a very long time refused to get listed on any exchange until the put a finishing touch on the development and the intergenerationa of the project. So I think investing in it is worth the risk.

If we knew answer to that question we wouldn't be here, correct?
Thing is no one knows which alt coin will blow, I like to stick with bitcoin and exchange my bounty rewards to bitcoin asap.
Don't ask such questions in forum, someone might dump their bags on you.

I can say that if you invest in ethereum it'll be the best option at this time. Also NEO is a good candidate to invest to. Of course there's more coins, but i that variants is the best

if you plan on holding for a long period of time then you should choose coins with high popularity so that the coin will not easily die in the future. and my recommendations are Ethereum, Bitcoin and NEO.

This crypto currency was developed with the goal of creating an independent, no single digital currency that could be paid on the Internet. The number of digital currencies is continuously growing, and at the beginning of 2018 their number was 1000 pieces and every day the number is growing.

I am a person whose age has led me to be very cautious in my investment decisions, for which I prefer to bet only on those options that have proven over time to have sufficient reliability to be a proper store of value in the long term.

And I think that there is no other cryptocurrency in the market that can compete with bitcoin in that aspect, so I think that if it were all about choosing a single crypto, I would definitely choose bitcoin, although perhaps a broader and diversified portfolio could be more profitable in the long term.
What you say does make sense, but op is not asking about Bitcoin. He is clearly asking suggestions regarding altcoins. Diversification is a better strategy as you mentioned and I would suggest diversifying funds between altcoins based on short term and long term prospects. I would choose NEO, Ethereum, Litecoin from a long term perspective and I would choose IOST, Cardano, DeepOnion from a short term perspective.

I think altcoin for future is good in my project. Besides, altcoin is the best project when I joined the project. However, altcoin made many people interested to join the project. Meanwhile, after they joined the altcoin, they can get more information to improve their knowledge. So I hopes altcoin for future can more good and made many people enjoyed to the project. Cheesy

Now is a time when that does not buy, almost any coin will grow. Of course, if it is good. If the coin is bad, it will fall to the bottom and will be there forever.

I stay with some of my ICO coins. I hold them because they are still cheap at the market.
For a long holding, I keep some NEO. Hopefully, this altcoin will reach the higher price at the end of this year. It is like the ETH and it has faster transaction and cheaper fee.

If I'm more interested in holding (indefinite time) than day trading, which altcoin should I invest in? Are there any one more indicated for holding, in your opinion?
for Altcoin is currently quite suitable to hold. because I see Altcoin has a fairly high development potential. so by holding it can give a big advantage. and his future will be assured both at a high price.

Perhaps the Altkoins in the near future will grow by 30-50% in relation to Bitcoin. The main currency again loses its dominance.
The fact is that Bitcoin loses its trust and many people who invested in Bitcoin their money lost their money. Thus, fewer and fewer people pay attention to Bitcoin.

In the long run, everything is too muddy. Here already itself make a choice, but many say that Ethereum will jump by the end of the year as well as bitcoin in due time.
