If you want to take hold without the time limit you need to buy or choose a more stable altcoin like doge or altcoin that has a large community that is certainly a lot to know that is ethereum, ripple, stellar and litecoin.

Keep your works. HODL is good term, Altcoins have bright future and their price will increase. But you must choose the right coin, what coin to hodl, i recommend you IOST, a good coin with high potential, IOST price will be 1-5 USD per once coin at end of this year.

I am observing one of the altcoins in the market and I have observed ADA is a good choice in hodling when you invest in such altcoins. I also like its developing project platform as I see it improves day by day. It seems that ADA's price are still good for the past few weeks indeed have potentials than the others. Although MONERO is also one of my choices in investing, I suggest you do your own study and research as to what altcoins are you comfortable to start with.

But if you insist and you are focused with altcoins, you can try the strategy of others by choosing a coin that has the potential which cost less than $1 right now. Yes, this time its good to invest in altcoin for the future like Ethereum in which very applicable as of this moment becuase of its safe platforms that commonly used by all coins in supporting wallet and of course the value slowly increasing in the market.
I would recommend you to make a little bit of research before investing in any token/coin due to the fact that you should always follow news of the project, sometimes the project may looks like it is going to be necessary for the future but finally it may become a scam.

I think if we want to invest or trade in crypto all is an option, and for me if you want to invest alt. which is nice to hold I will first study the development of the crypto market and which opportunities are good alt and have the prospect of going up to the moon. while for trading may be due to not have much money then I learned first.
