Tier 4 is the same as above (in my earlier post) except max count is increased to 20 and count is reduced by 1 every 2 seconds.

Yep, I don't have an ETA, but this feature is pretty high priority.

Here's the detail on how our API rate limit works (responding to MusX's request):

Our API rate limits work on a count system. The standard API rate limit for accounts verified at tier 1-3 is as follows:

Max count before lockout: 10             (lockout is for 15 minutes)
 
Count increment for order add/cancel calls: +0
  
Count increment for ledger/trade history calls: +2
  
Count increment for all other calls: +1
  
Count reduced by 1 every: 5 seconds

Example: Starting from a count of 0, suppose that you made the following calls during a 10 second window: 5 add/cancel calls, 4 ledger calls, and 3 "other" calls. Your count would then be 5*0 + 4*2 + 3*1 – 2 = 9 (since the count is below 10 you would not be locked out).

Edit: Tier 4 is the same as above except max count is increased to 20 and count is reduced by 1 every 2 seconds.

As I've mentioned before, I'm pushing for an increase to this rate limit, so it may change soon. If so, I'll post the new spec here.

 - I thought everything was fine and send new money to my account, but again it es "on hold"!
 - I am NOT Tier 3 verificated, even although i send you the fucking selfie!
 - I can NOT withdrawal the bitcoins i bought! For what do i need the euros if i cannot withdrawal the bitcoins?

Hi Truman - we released your deposit as soon as we saw you had uploaded the selfie. But our verification team hadn't had a chance yet to change your tier level. You're at tier 3 now, your fiat deposit is released, and you should be able to withdraw your bitcoins.

Can you clarify some points regarding the API?

1) What is the request/throttle limit before getting banned, if any? (e.g. 1 request per second)

It's a bit complicated since there are a variety of factors that can change things, but the basic limits are as follows. The limit for sustained requests is 1 request every 5 seconds. The limit for sustained orders is about 1 per minute. The sustained limits can be exceeded in short bursts. Keep in mind that this is subject to change as we see how people use the API.

Please increase the rate limits.  One request per 5 seconds is pretty low but I can work around it.  One request per second would be more resonable.

However one order per minute is very low.  Overall I place less than 60 orders per hour, but sometimes I may need to place 4 or 5 orders in a minute.  I run into the rate limit too often.

I think our API limit should be higher too. It's an ongoing project of mine to try to convince others on the team about this and get the limits raised. I've had partial success and a raise of the limit should be coming. I'll check on the progress of that and let everybody know.

Is there any other rate limit for trades ("Get recent trades") method?
I already set 6 seconds for it but still get "EAPI:Rate limit exceeded" from time to time.
If the api rate is method specific could we get a full table which describe each method, burst, etc.?

there are still many complaints about this ID selfie, it is realistic that you will loose 90% of all your german customers.
So please find a alternative to this ( e.g. Postident and/or verification with Fidor together like bitcoin.de does)

and of course krakens support is too slow.

Ich habe Am Mittwoch 1.500,- € von meinem Fidor Konto zum Kraken überwiesen. Mein Konto ist Tier 3 verifiziert und meine Limits waren noch lange nicht ausgeschöpft.
Die Zahlung kam allerdings nicht an.

Dann hatte ich gesehen, dass neuerdings im Verwendungszweck der Überweisung noch "kraken.com" stehen muss. Gut, mein Fehler. Habe dann nochmal eine zweite Überweisung über 500,- € gemacht mit dem richtigen Verwendungszweck. Aber auch hier kam die Überweisung nicht wie sonst üblich innerhalb ein paar Minuten beim Kraken an.

Ich habe dann sofort ein Ticket erstellt und bis heute natürlich mal wieder keine Antwort erhalten! Mittlerweile stehen meine Einzahlungen zwar im Account, aber nur mit "on Hold". Dies ist völlig unbegründet, da wie gesagt keine Kontolimits ausgeschöpft sind und ich ordentlich verifiziert bin.

Vor ein paar Monaten hatte ich schon einmal das gleiche Problem, auch hier hat es 4 Wochen gedauert, bis ich die Euros wieder zur Verfügung hatte. Ich musste mich mit Fidor in Verbindung sind usw! Seitens Kraken wurde dann Besserung bzgl. des Supports gelobt, aber passiert ist anscheinend überhaupt nichts. Zum Traden find eich den Kraken eigentlich gut, aber das mit dem Service ist wirklich unter aller Sau!

Habt jemand vielleicht ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht und bin nur ich der Depp!?

Just saw that there are different CLoudflare locations. Macno adressed Frankfurt.
The one I had issues with was CloudFlare Location: Amsterdam.
Maybe this information can be of use for you.
