I'm new here and i want to warn you that i have a big problem with Kraken. 7 months that i'm waiting to change my email adress from my account.

Let me explain : i had a tor2mail relied to my account. As you know, tor2mail is down. I contact support and they said to me that's a complicated situation.
I had the same problem on poloniex. I made a new account. They transfer my coins on the new account. And it's all good now.

I propose the same thing with kraken, and the same response : "it's complicated, we need time".
7 months later, i have still the same problem.

I think they buying time to scam me and get a reason to get my coins.
Be very careful.

I got an email back! The currently are working to enable USD funding and withdraws.

So it appears they are having some technical issues they are working on.

If you are US resident with SSN don't bother opening an account with Kraken, go with GDAX and Gemini.

Kraken support is inexistent, if you need an answer you can expect at least 1 week, even if you "escalate" it.

Why is it so bad? I used an EIN for my business. Doesn't Gemini have a really long painstakingly long signup process.



Mainly because the support, they need to understand that bitcoin matters need to be solved in hours not days, the market is to volatile.

Kraken is 100% legit, just need to improve their platform and their service.

I'm in same boat as you... I have a Kraken Tier 4 verified account + business checking account.  The names on both accounts match and all the documentation should be in order.  I'm able to deposit BTC / sell BTC, but when I go to withdraw USD I receive the error "Failed" with no explanation.

I've opened tickets with support and tried escalating on Reddit / Bitcointalk but have not heard a single word from Kraken.


Let me know if you resolve it. I have never done a withdraw with Kraken but they verified all my details so it should work. I called my bank and they did not see an attempt to wire on their end.

I have not... I am opening an account with GDAX now and starting verification process... At this point, whoever can start making this happen first will get my business from here on out

GDAX aka coinbase can be a nightmare coming from me. I left them due to so many issues.

What country are you based in? If you are based in Europe, you shouldn´t have any problems
making a SEPA withdrawal.
In other countries, getting a successful wire transfer can be more difficult as you can read
in previous posts of other posters.

Nothing yet I put a ticket in the other day. Confused if it is something I forgot I just got my account fully configured earlier this week for tier 4 and opened my business bank account maybe 2 weeks prior so everything should be valid.

Still waiting on support ticket #708488... I have escalated here and using the reddit escalation link...

No issues getting money into Kraken, trading, etc.  I am tier 4 verified... Go to withdraw, failure... no response from support... Does not make me feel good as a business having my money trapped at Kraken with no one to contact

Over a month now and still no progress or update on the status of my missing withdrawal. So today I took initiative and contacted Kraken's bank (Evolve Bank and Trust) that has sent withdrawals to my bank previously. They put me into contact with the company who handles the wire transfers (Synapse). I called them and no representative was available to speak to me. So in turn I opened up a support ticket there as well in hopes of recovering my funds. I have escalated this ticket twice now with no luck after sending confirmation and proof via my bank deposits that I did not receive the funds. Its very unprofessional that I am not being updated on the status of this ticket that is currently being handled by "Alex" as it says on the site. I have been extremely patient and understanding in regards to this matter but I had to take steps to figure out what is going on because of the lack of communication. I am extremely frustrated and have not used your exchange since this issue arose and will pull out the remaining funds I have on this platform.

To all current users be forewarned and look for a new Fiat gateway.

Update on my withdrawal . The funds have been put back into my Kraken account.  I was informed on the 21st of September by Synapse support that the funds were returned on 8/22 and should have been credited to my account already. Synapse support forwarded the issue to Kraken to help get the issue resolved. Kraken support contacted me the same day and informed me that "my withdrawal was returned by Synapse because they couldn't settle the transaction" and to wait a few business days for the funds to return to my account. The funds are there. However, I am still perplexed as to why it took such a long time to get this issue resolved especially with the lack of communication on Kraken's part. With that being said, despite the delay they did return my funds. So anyone with current withdrawals issues be patient but diligent. As this industry grows and develops hopefully issues like this will become a relic of the past.

UGH this is the worst been a Kraken member for almost a year, got verified up to a Tier 4 for my business. Went for the first time to withdrawal and failure after failure. Why did I spend over a month getting verified if I cant even withdrawal. Now I have to wait what 2-3 days for a response on the ticketing system? Ticket#708555 This in itself is a terrible way to do business because each response back and forth takes 2-3 days. There should be phone support!

Yes. We only accept domestic wires from US citizens.
