I might be wrong but I suspect the reason why the premined coins are not burned is the lack of Auroracoin Foundation or the initialy proposed Icelandic Criptocurrency Society.
The foundation was a part of the plan right from the begining (one year ago) and I hope will be established soon.
Ask yourself why the coins are not burned yet?

I have not been following this coin for awhile, if he has been keeping to his word then wait it out.
Look he's not lying when he says he will destroy the premine because he never gave a date and time. So it might get destroyed tomorrow or next month or next year or next decade.

Interesting read, but the proposed monetary system has some flaws... banks are reduced to administrative accounting institutions (they don't really handle the money anymore) and a party could potentially have a strong influence in the government and the money creation group (or have pawns at those places), which would mean unlimited free money for that party (and another financial crisis).

@LTEX, any info on how you want to achieve point 2? Are you just going to forbid the transfer from that/those address(es)?

I'm not sure if this is in the right direction or not. This kind of system will only move the money printing corruption into the political arena, where politicians pick the people who decide how much money the Central bank should print and then they, the politicians, spend it into the economy.

This shows that radical ideas are being discussed in parliament and within the government to change the monetary system. This of course will take a few years to be discussed in parliament, but shows that our ideas of using Auroracoin to implement these changes are not just ideas of a few nuts.

The Developer still has a lot of coins and will wait for others to build the coin up for him to cash out when the price is right. I am a avid fan of country coins but all these 50% premine ones turned out to be scams. Luckily for him he has people that will try make this coin a success. Good luck making the dev rich.
