Alpha release today Grin Grin Grin Grin

I thought golem alpha have been released for a while.

I check their twitter and i don;t think there's anything pointed to this date.

I understand the confusion, I looked at the cryptocalendar too.

So i go to the site pointed. I don;t think that's a date.

What about this?

https://golem.network/alpha.html

I see 05.1

Yeah. That's what i mean. I don;t think it's a date. I think it's a typo it is supposed to be 06.1 Scroll down on the alpha page, you will see 05.2 which i think should be 06.2
This image below might explain it better

really long term investment.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Considering 4+ years for all of the version to be implemented, this is a long-term project. It's almost a year and anytime brass golem to be out.

Price predictions for end of january and end of 2018?

Predicting we'll hit the stratosphere by the end of the month, as long as the beta is still on projection. Not long after we'll be on course to the moon. Predict we will have interstellar travell by the end of year. Maybe $1.70 by the end of the month, and $4 by end of year?

Seems to be pretty much on target.

I see 1.50$ end of month 7.5$ end of year as a realistic expectation based on their new promises, team and development goals.

If we see some large corporations joining, testing or using their system then 10$ +

Whats the cheapest way to purchase GNT ? I thought about transferring ETH from coinbase to poloniex, purchase GNT on poloniex and then move it to myetherwallet but I fear the fees, I try to avoid paying more than 10% in fees for the whole process.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations Wink

@nancybeee : It is built on Eth blockchain, I don't think that it could be the world's computer but it could at least be useful to a lot of corporations, governments, scientists an so on... In fact, it is a super computer, it uses calculation ressources but it is not about storage. It became difficult to miniaturize CPU and space is limited while companies/industries need to deal with more and more data, so Facebook could use this to process and analyse the big amounts of data they are collecting for example.

Go ahead with your idea, the fees are small on Poloniex. I think I paid 1 GNT to withdraw the token from Polo. You can also verify the fees before making the withdrawal. Your ETH fee should be low too (I don't know Coinbase but I did what you plan to do from MyEtherWallet - Polo - Exodus).

Is there any reason to move the GNT out of exchange? There is no POS or anything, so I can just keep it on the exchange right?

NEVER leave any coins on an exchange - Someone else will remove them for you one day.

This interests me. Is it like Ethereum blockchain? Wherein it may be the world's computer? Or like cloud computing service?
