I'm sorry, thanks for compiling this, but doesn't your virustotal scan link says that there are 2 viruses detected in your file??

Could you explain?
Obvious false positive.

There can be only one!
Windows binary ready. However, no nodes available, so I can't use it yet.

This means that 2/48 virus detection sites flagged it as having a virus -- notably they show different viruses.. that means 46 virus scanners think it is clean, notably the bigger security companies are in that 46.

The Config file worked. Thank you! Some Kitteh coins will be coming your way.

No wait. CGminer says Im connected accepting blocks but the wallet icon on the bottom right of the wallet says I'm mining at 0 kh/s?

The wallet only shows mining speeds if you're mining via the wallet, which dates back to Bitcoin's original CPU-mining launch. Mining through CGMiner or BFGMiner will show your hash rate in the miner window only. So long as you see a hashrate in your miner, be patient. If you're not patient, try a pool Smiley

Quick question, is it better to longpoll or not to longpoll with new coin? I'm assuming not to longpoll but I'm not positive of all the technical workings of longpolling.
I have some miners longpolling and some not....

I start to doubt that any coin will ever be confirmed on cipherpool.

Can somebody confirm again that the coins get confirmed for them ?

If yes, how long after starting mining ?

I hope I'm not wasting my time here

i can also confirm they do confirm and they do payout, i have recieved all of the coins that have confirmed so far :-)

if it helps the pool owner, it ooks like freshly mined blocks take 50 confirmations. :-)

I think the wallet only displays hashes when mining WITH the CPU-miner of the wallet.

I use Windows.

Okay, as the first step you have to download the wallet (nocoin compiled it: https://mega.co.nz/#!7ZhWTAAa!R0BFFWkk-YQdJTLDgO8pemp55KcygsvFVPnjAOlRDrU). Wait for it to get the current block chain. When you are up to date, close the wallet and create the config file at this location (C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Kittehcoin\kittehcoin.conf):

Code:
server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=
rpcpassword=

Note that you have to add the IP of other miner PCs if you want to let them mine on your wallet, e.g.:

Code:
# Your whole network
rpcallowip=10.0.0.*
rpcallowip=

Restart your wallet and try to point your miner to the wallet. If you mine locally, a command line of cgminer could look like this:

Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o localhost:22566 -u myMiner -p xxx

Cheers

Thanks for your fast answers, can you tell me more specifically "point your miner to the wallet"? I do all the steps and the cgminer says that "Pool 0 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid".

Try the config from zachamo and try the URL he posted for cgminer (after the switch -o, http://localhost:22566/).
Are you sure the username and password in the config and the commandline for cgminer match? Have you restarted your wallet after changing the config?

Yes i can confirm. It took a few hours till the first batch has been confirmed
Cipher pool admin stated before that the confirmation is set to 500 blocks. Now we are at 1300 so the confirmations are being made now for blocks nr. 700s

Hi Folks! So you want to solo mine?

Please donate a portion of your first mined block if this works for you -- K9g6KeC2RZvWT8h5eeLD1B8oamgmQcYFj9

1. Download the wallet here: https://mega.co.nz/#!7ZhWTAAa!R0BFFWkk-YQdJTLDgO8pemp55KcygsvFVPnjAOlRDrU

2. Launch the wallet

3. Add your .conf file here:
C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\KittehCoin

Create kittehcoin.conf -- make sure this is a legit .conf and not a .conf.txt - contents should include:

Code:
rpcuser=USERNAMEOFYOURCHOICE
rpcpassword=RANDOM PASSWORD STRING
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=22566
daemon=1
listen=1
server=1
addnode=198.199.117.221:22566
addnode=82.173.108.213
addnode=84.110.183.206:22566
addnode=5.67.195.255:2256
addnode=151.236.10.190:22566
addnode=198.199.117.221:22566

EDIT: Some miners may have issues with this port; if you can't connect try changing the port on your miner and .conf file to 9332 or below

4. Relaunch the wallet so that it picks up the .conf details and let it update - the nodes here should speed that up.

5. Once updated, Point your miner to http://localhost:22566/   -- for cgminer use:  cgminer --scrypt -o localhost:22566 -u USERNAMEOFYOURCHOICE -p anything

6. Please donate a portion of your first mined block if this helped! K9g6KeC2RZvWT8h5eeLD1B8oamgmQcYFj9

I cant connect for solo mining with these config setting:

server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=
rpcpassword=

Seems like its missing some variables?

you need port

Not if he uses the default port.

This is what I have and still doesnt work. hmm

server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=**Username**
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=22566
addnode=198.199.117.221
addnode=82.173.108.213

What is the error message? Can you post your command line of cgminer? Is cgminer running on the same computer as the wallet?
