It will happen after block 517,200; which should be sometime tomorrow or possibly Thursday depending on how fast the blockchain runs.

Hello

Looking forward to the coin update but https://github.com/WeAreSatoshi/WeAreSatoshi.git will not build on Archlinux.

I'm getting the following error and cannot submit an issue on github.

build/bitcoinrpc.o: In function `_GLOBAL__sub_I__Z12JSONRPCErroriRKSs':
bitcoinrpc.cpp:(.text.startup+0xd57): undefined reference to `sendalert(std::vector >, std::allocator > > > const&, bool)'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:311: recipe for target 'WeAreSatoshi-qt' failed
make: *** [WeAreSatoshi-qt] Error 1

The previous commit had no issues.

It looks like rpcalert.cpp is missing form the makefile you are using. If you add it in the same spot as rpcnet.cpp and the other rpc files it should compile.

Thank you for the info. Will give it a try.

OK, here's my concern. If there is 0 volume at 1 satoshi as it is. How will reducing the coin supply make it all of a sudden worth 100 sats. That is what would need to happen or else we would all be losing all of our value.

If we reduce coin supply and there is still no volume what makes you so sure that this will make it rise above 1 sat? If this doesnt work we all just lost like 99% of our money

You cant loose 99
5 of nothing. That is what it is right now. There are no guarantees this will work but it is a change that might help this coin. Others have had a few months to try and do something for this coin and they did nothing. Someone finally stepped up so we might as well let them try.

In theory, no one is losing any money.  It is an overall reduction in the total supply of coins, spread evenly across the entire network.  If WAS was a company, you would still own the same percentage of the company.

I pointed out in a prior post the current value of WAS, if you figure it from the WAS / DOGE market, and convert that to BTC...  Using that as a starting point, I think as-is, we will see an opening price of WAS 2 around ~10 satoshi.  However, we don't know how the market will respond to a 15% increase in value from PoS.  That will provide some level of demand in itself, as well as a reason for miners and bag holders to hold instead of dump.

Finally, as far as demand / environmentals, we did a 2% pre-mine so that we can provide bounties and fund development.  This isn't our personal money supply, it belongs to the coin and will be invested in a thriving community.

Why did you rewrite the code? I am a big holder of the REAL #WAS and I am not happy you have taken over MrBrew's coin and made all old coins worthless.  Its clearly all part of a scheme to make a buck off people who believe in your fake WAS takeover.
you are a moron.the coins are worthless because WAS is doing nothing.now they might be worth something.

Whats the purpose behind changing the algo?  Huh

Sweet! These are exciting times! I was worried this coin was going to perish. It was having a lot of trouble getting the backing it needed. I'm very excited and am 100% supportive of the changes. Changing the algo and turning it into a PoW/PoS coin will do nothing but good things. People will want to hold the coin for longer.

The biggest problem with the WAS v1 is the ability to absolutely flood the market.

Keep up the great work guys!

Updated wallet and everything works. Keep up the great work. I know you guys are pretty busy but would you guys be able to get a multipool going so all the original miners with only sha miners can still mine this coin?

When i the swap?
Do i have to get new wallet first?
Please update on OP clearly how to do it please.

Step 1 - Download the new v1 SHA256D WAS client ASAP.  This will ensure that your version 1 WAS coins can be swapped for v2 coins.  Follow the links on the OP and at http://www.was.club to download the new client.

Step 2 - When it is released, download the v2 WAS client (X11) and follow the instructions to participate in the coin swap.  The exact details will be coming, but you will simply send coins to a designated address and use the transaction comment field to enter your v2 wallet address.
